I wonder if they will get any images or video off the camera they found on the roof?

And with all the prep/outfitting done, you would think it would have occurred to him to come prepared for the possibility of encountering a doorbell camera
That's what a guy on CNN said; usually they would bring a can of spray paint and paint over the camera

Do we know for sure that they couldn't get that footage? IMO, there's a high likelihood they have other footage they haven't released.
According to CNN, Google assisted in getting the video: https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/10/tech/google-video-nancy-guthrie

Quote from article: "But Nest still saves around three hours of “event-based” video history for free before being deleted. That data lives in Google’s cloud and servers. Even if the data had been deleted from Google’s systems, it could still exist somewhere and be recoverable because even files slated for deletion can exist until they are overwritten by new data, said Nick Barreiro, an audio-video forensic analyst and the founder of Principle Forensics."

I wonder if AG has a live in nanny/housekeeper/au pair. Perhaps with a criminal element boyfriend. It would explain a search of their home and law enforcement activity near her house.
I have been wondering who was at that dinner that night. Maybe more than just the family of 3. Neighbors? And was there talk of SG and NG living all alone in a big home that was too much for her to take care of??

Also wondering now if they have NG body. Found on her property, somehow, on the 2nd search, days ago. And all this other stuff has been to draw out the perp.

What I don't understand is that even without a subscription to the ring camera the FBI was able to work with a tech company to unearth the video of the suspect at her door at 2 am. If they could do that why can't they unearth a video of when she was dropped off at her home around 9:45 pm Jan 31st.

LE probably has a lot more video/evidence than they are sharing with the public. At least I hope so.

Exactly. I'd think all it would take is an inch of so of painter's tape. That could have even been stuck on his arm with one end sticking up so he could grab it, walk up onto the porch with his head down so unseen, and cover the lens. But he didn't do ANY of that. That's why I'm stuck on him NOT using a few flower stems to block a camera! I mean... c'mon.

Wouldn't anyone these days expect to encounter some form (brand) of doorbell camera? Why would the perp grab flowers from the yard to cover it and at some point disable it? Seems like any perp would expect it to be there. I'm not saying everyone has one, but not much recon.

Apologies if duplicate-

BREAKING: New video of Nancy Guthrie's abductor indicates an accomplice may be watching from the street, according to FBI veteran Michael Biasello, who has worked kidnapping and hostage cases. "After he pulls the foliage, he appears to make a small gesture to someone off camera," Biasello told me. "I believe two people were necessary to move and carry the victim." Biasello also believes the man seen in the video may be wearing a ballistic vest. He adds that now is the time for the FBI to double the $50,000 reward.

Ummmm, the feet are small too, and the color of the pants and the way he wears them (might even be the same ones), the reflective clothing, and the way he walks and moves. WOW. I hope LE looked at this!!!!
I know people keep speculating about the family, but they've come out saying they do not recognize this person. All of these things seem specific enough that they would recognize them. I know if I saw my sister, BIL, or husband, I would recognize them immediately in those photos.

Yeah, this.

As many, including ex LE commentators have said his actions are "off". Even the porch pirates stealing packages show up on Ring community vids with hoodies pulled over and looking down assuming or seeing cams.

He had a full backpack and other nonsense but not spray paint or even a powerful IR emitter off Amazon would have flooded that camera view without tipping off anyone before it could record.

The wannabe get up (with plenty of flaws; reflectors, gloves obstructively thick), the casually picking up of the latanas flowers, it's just weird. And I think the guy will turn out to be, well, weird.

Yes I'm aware. The comment I was responding to asked why they couldn't get footage of NG arriving home around 9:45pm. IMO, Google was able to retrieve more footage than has been released to the public. I haven't seen anything confirming that they couldn't get any other footage from that evening.

oh no it looks like he did do just that to me at least - he walks up and sees the doorbell camera, tries to hit it turns around as if he is looking for something to cover it and gets the weeds/flowers as though that was the best he could do...which contributes to the perception of not so good at this...

Or that. But flower stems? Not in my playbook! lol

Based on some of the explanation I’ve heard about how they were able to access the doorbell footage, I’m not sure if they’ll be successful with the other cameras. Hopefully I’m wrong though! It just sounded like since the camera was disconnected/stopped recording, there was a small amount of footage that was stored since the camera wasn’t overwriting it. The other cameras were still operating so they might only have footage from like 8-10am, just as an example. I have no idea how much footage is stored.

(a) Range doesn't go as far as garage ?

(b) If it did, they may have it.

WE only know what they tell us they have.

WE don't know even a tiny portion of what they have because they don't tell us unless they need public assistance.

It just looks more like an offering to me, not like he's using the flowers to shield his face.

All I know is if I was trying to hid my face... 1) I would have done it BEFORE walking up to where there was likely a camera, and 2) I'd do a lot better job than this. My face wouldn't be seen unlike this guy's face.
And spray paint the camera ASAP.
