This has been a thought of mine..Only because I know of an instance where it has happened (I was close with the family that it happened to) and I know it has happened here in Tucson a few times. I wonder if this is a home invasion that was mistaken house. Like thefragile7393 said, they do happen, but it usually has to do with drugs.

Then it recorded for as long as the battery held up, and you're right--they have more video. I hope it's better than my inner pocket or countertop.
Do you suppose the image/person that LE said was captured "from a camera" at 2:12 was from the disconnected doorbell camera?
The camera disconnected at 1:47 am. While it would continue to record events and store them internally it will not send video to the cloud until it reconnects to WiFi. Learn how Nest cameras store recorded video - Google Nest Help

I’m sorry people. It’s an Ozark Trail backpack. The logo is very clear to people with the eyes for this. Ok even me. It’s clear as day and I’m 47!

Neither backpack looks like the ozark trail model used by the abductor.
Creepy to think TWO guys were prowling (if that other video is true).

I saw the video and while I can't tell if one of the backpacks looks like the one in the released photos/video, the time stamp on the video is 1:53am MST, which would have been when the perps where in NG's home. Unless the time stamps can be off?
Backpacks look totally wrong, as well as the jacket.

That's not the same person. For many reasons. IMO

Concerning the tyre tracks found on the drive - could Nancy have used a “granny trolley” after she’d come home from the supermarket?

It's news to me that LE found tire tracks that weren't from a vehicle. I'd appreciate a link so I read what's been reported. Thank you!

I like your theory. I've wondered if something like that could have been used to take NG out of the immediate area in an unobtrusive way. Something bigger, obviously. A wagon, garden cart, trash can with wheels, wheelbarrow, wheeled crate.

Seems like different guy and MO: no mask or gloves, two back packs, didn’t mind showing his face, etc.

In a recent discussion, Greg Gutfeld proposed an intriguing strategy regarding the ongoing mystery surrounding Savannah Guthrie. Gutfeld, a co-host known for his sharp insights, suggested that Guthrie, perceived as the least likely suspect, should voluntarily undergo a polygraph test

This suggestion aims to create pressure on other individuals associated with the case. By having Guthrie take the polygraph, it could prompt others to follow suit. Gutfeld believes that no one should be ruled out at this stage, and the willingness or reluctance to participate in the test might reveal more about the individuals involved.

Expert Opinions on Polygraph Testing

Paul Mauro, a guest on the show, chimed in on Gutfeld’s idea. He noted that, as of now, there has been no known application of polygraph tests in this case. While Mauro expressed uncertainty about the progression of the investigation, he acknowledged that the results of polygraph tests are typically not admissible in court.
  • Gutfeld’s Main Argument: Initiating a polygraph test for Guthrie could help uncover the truth.
  • Impact of the Test: Reluctance to participate may indicate something unusual.
  • Legal Considerations: Polygraph results are not used as evidence in court but can serve as investigative pointers.

Found a source for NG having a hearing aid.
In the criminal complaint where they arrested the scammer dude in California about 6 days ago.

In the first paragraph they list items left behind and found in her house.

Could the grabbing of the lantana be retrieving a hidden key in the flower pot? Or has this been addressed already?

The perp wouldn't have to entice her to the door. The perp broke into her home! My thinking is the perp went straight away into her bedroom. I have also read in several articles that she wore a hearing aid. Most people take off their hearing aids at night. I cannot imagine how terrifying it would be to wake up and see a man wearing a mask, gloves, and hovering over you in the middle of the night. Absolutely terrifying!
Hearing aid/s wearer here.

Yes, it's important to always remove your hearing aids when you go to bed. In my case, they need to charge, but even when I had the battery operated hearing aids I removed them to sleep. Your ear canals need time to kind of breathe, plus, it would be very uncomfortable to wear them all night, especially for side sleepers.

JMO but also based on everything I've ever heard/known about hearing aids.

If a disoriented, elderly woman, with poor vision and hearing, were to hear a familiar voice with urgency?

I am beginning to think this was never a kidnapping. The person on camera was hired to clean up the crime scene and perhaps dispose of the body, and Nancy was murdered before his arrival. I won’t speculate on the murderer, though. I think we all have our thoughts, and that is enough. Still doesn’t explain the Apple Watch sync, if it happened earlier in the night, though. The kidnapping theory has just gotten weird and is going in too many insane directions.
I think the exact same thing! That the person on cam is after the fact but don't have enough evidence to piece together why I think that but I do.

I've noticed that "hearing aid" singular has been used (it's mentioned as a singular hearing aid in the post a few above mine).

I find that interesting because most people with hearing loss wear two hearing aids. It's more unusual to wear just one versus two.

I have wondered if she heard something and grabbed one hearing aid to put it in. I would like to think that she had at least one hearing aid with her; however, it would have run out of charge by now - even with a battery operated system.

Give me some grace here fam, but what if the perp is wearing a celebrity mask under the ski mask? In this hypothetical situation, we may only have biometrics. Eyes and such.
Could be. The celebrity ones I've seen are thicker, not stretchy, and oversize. I think they'd looker bulkier under the ski mask than the images released. The features on celebrity masks are often exaggerated. Underneath the ski mask, the eyebrows would be more prominent, I think.

The mask under the ski mask looks more like the realistic-looking, form-fitting kind used by the assassin in Minnesota wore.

I would think LE would have access to earlier video footage and motion alerts from inside the house if someone had broken in prior to this person.
