AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Completely agree.

It seems like they’ll need a confession or similar in hopes someone takes a deal before it goes to trial.

Even in that case, not sure it would stand up to an appeal.

What a nightmare.
Hopefully, their primary focus is locating Nancy - and the prosecution's needs are secondary
LE found a PAIR of black gloves—not together apparently.
Haven't been able to read all the comments due to pace of the thread, so apologies if this has already been commented. 1) If found glove(s) worn by perp, would expect to find NG's DNA on exterior & possibly perp's DNA on interior. 2) Evev if perp had 2 layers of gloves - it would be difficult to remove them from one hand while the other hand was still fully gloved. So, either another person assisted with glove removal, or double layer was removed as one. Moo

I have no doubt LE has more video than they are showing the public. Remember, they only released the four snippets as an attempt to identify the person at the door (clothing, backpack, facial features, etc) and generate tips. LE won't release any more video than they need to.
I am hopeful they have a lot more video.

JMO
Oh I have to believe they do...the issue/concern to me was that it appears to have take multiple searches to find the cameras..

Thanks. I wish those times could be confirmed then. It doesn’t make sense there would be three backpacks and two different jackets if it were the same person though.
Honestly, the guy with the two backpacks just looks high. I don’t think he has any association. JMO

I wonder if anyone reached back out to APS after the business card was left? And wouldn't LE work directly with APS in this case if there were concerns about NG's well-being prior to her going missing?
I'm thinking that any info regarding a possible case wouldn't be released to the public.
Just pondering. As I said, it's been weighing on me.
IMO.

IMO.
I think the card was left shortly after she was reported missing, and imo not left there prior.

Here is Harvey Levin’s commentary regarding the new video of individual with similar backpack just before kidnapping.

It’s strange that this shows the glove being found on Campbell. That’s what I had assumed in the first place (closest main street to NG’s house) but the following says the glove was found on 1st Ave, a mile away from Campbell.

Maybe one glove was found in each place?

From the original Twitter post about the Ring camera footage, there was a general area highlighted of where the Ring camera was, but it was not specific in order to protect privacy. Based on the streets in the area that you could make out, I think it was just West of the Mountain 1st Avenue neighborhood in Tucson and north of Sugar Hill neighborhood (you can look up the original Twitter post, I didn't quote it here sorry).
I don't have NG's exact home address but this is a Google maps screenshot of the area where the Ring camera footage is stated to be TO NG's house.
Interestingly, less than a 19 minute drive which is relevant if you read the TMZ article explaining timing (which I was originally confused on), and it goes along N Campbell Ave which is where they reportedly found the gloves. EDIT: The other glove was apparently found on 1st Ave, which directly borders Mountain 1st Avenue (hence the name) neighborhood.
Obviously none of this is conclusive or exact. Just my speculation, but if I were LE I would pinpoint the home from the Ring camera and get a search warrant/search the block tbh.

The camera footage is from 5 miles away. So in 15 minutes he’d geared himself up and driven that distance? I don’t think so.
5 miles in 19 minutes, he'd have to be going what at least 100-200 mph.

ohhh great thinking.

IF this is the same guy, this is happening before he'd get to nancy's house, we believe, right? maybe trying to find a place to stash it with plans to return to it after taking her so he wouldn't have to bring two big backpacks?

just speculating, IMO, etc.
are we sure about the relative timings of the two bits of footage? no errors or misunderstandings like "this timestamp is just when it uploaded to the server", etc.?

See my post just above re: timing. It would track

Something about this guy is off. His body language is too extra. Too exaggerated.
IMO hes not being looked at as a POI or suspect. IMO he needs to be left alone

Ha! Everything about that interview he gave is a lie.

Wife was driving. Got out because he saw unmarked police cars following them. Come on now
Quite brazenly lying. That's probably worked for him for decades with his mother and his wife and now he just does it off the cuff like it's nothing. One of those liars that just overwhelms you with his openness and forthright answers. That are all lies.

I don't know for what reason he is lying but nothing he says can be relied upon. Nothing. IMO

I think he could go 55 mph and get there in about 6 minutes.

Is this new footage from anywhere close to AGs?

The Police / FBI will always have more information and be further along then we know / think. If they have a 'definite' suspect, they won't say so until they've got an 'iron clad' case. This case has already demonstrated that with security photos / video.

What in the actual Barnum & Bailey.

A NEIGHBOR decided they'd appoint themselves the unofficial spokesperson for the PCSO and send out an alert?

Good Grief.

We have officially jumped the shark in this case.

JMO.

This whole thing being broadcast in the media hour by hour is not good. The PI stuff and now this. You’d think some of these reporters and social media people posting these things would verify first. This is kinda turning into a shitshow. They’re causing a lot of confusion just trying to be the FIRST one to break new info, when come to find out it’s not even true. MOO

I don't believe in coincidences; that backpack looks identical to the perps on NG’s front porch. Notice the back of it when he’s flipping it around to the pic of perp’s backpack on NG’s porch – it’s just as taunt. There’s no reason anyone should be in an alleyway trying to get into another’s back yard. Why are they blocking the alleyway perps face?
It would be nice, but I don’t believe the two are related.

For the man in that video to be the masked man, he would have had to disable that front camera, get in his car, and drive no less than 60 miles an hour the entire way there. No lights, no stop signs, no surface streets. The timeline make is virtually impossible.
Thanks. I wish those times could be confirmed then. It doesn’t make sense there would be three backpacks and two different jackets if it were the same person though.
I’m sure the official time line is that the masked man disables camera at 1:47-48.

Another camera picked up motion at 2:12

Yea I agree his body language is a little off but I imagine he's in shock. Being detained, now you have a gaggle of reporters at your house, you're trying to defend yourself while also being confused about what's going on. He may be a little cagey but that doesn't mean he's guilty. IMO

Do we know for sure it was a neighbor who requested it?
