Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Perp has info that the camera is inactive, but sees the light and gets worried that it's still on. Wants to knock on door, but camera will let NG see him and ruin his ambush. Improvises with flowers to temporary block camera so NG can't see him; NG opens the door blind to the danger.
I agree that the guy knew that the doorbell camera was active due to the light. But I don't think NG would've opened the door to him or to anyone she couldn't see, especially at that time of night. I think the flowers were a crude attempt to shield his face from the camera while he was disabling it. After dealing with the camera, I'm guessing that he either picked the lock, waited for an accomplice who was already in there to let him in, or maybe went around the back to break in.

Gloves found at Guthrie's house are being sent out for testing, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a statement this afternoon.

The department said "several items of evidence" were found at the residence, but provided no details beyond the gloves.
I'll admit, I'm watching this thread off and on throughout the day but I've not seen anything about gloves found at the house. A few miles down the road, but not at the Guthrie's house. Which Guthrie house?

Unless she recognized his voice...

But yeah I don't know. Trying to adequately explain bizarre behavior is pretty futile.

I can’t imagine it’s very likely he would have seen something relevant 5+ miles away. That would be on the complete opposite side of town from me, for example.
Disagree. I think it possible for a vehicle to have been driven a whole 5 miles away from the crime scene.

NG house. The easiest way to find it is to look through the much more manageable Media, Maps, Timeline thread.

Thank you @MassGuy.

Unless LE can pinpoint that NG hand or face blood is from early AM 2/1, then as I've suggested ^, I wonder if that was blood from an everyday bleed for an 84 year old likely on an anti-coagulent (my suspicion per recent pics).

She could have had a bleed that started when she got out of a car in her driveway - maybe caught her hand on something... or maybe her return from her mailbox where she bumped her had.

Then in this scenario, when she stopped at the door to get in (get keys?), she would have dropped a concentration of blood, likely from her hand. IMO.
The article describes the blood spots that look like donuts with a clear center as blood being mixed with air, meaning it came from her nose or her mouth as a bubble. Like the ring/circle that is left when a soap bubble hits the ground - it's not a solid soap ball. Which I think is a kind way of saying it was a bubble of blood and air coming from her lungs out her mouth or nose, not a primary source of a nose or mouth bleed. The droplets that are solid would come from a cut or tissue damage somewhere where it couldn't mix with air before dropping to the ground. The article also states it doesn't appear there was any attempt to stop the bleeding. I have no idea how someone can confidently say the regular non-aerated blood drops were from her hands or face (not mouth or nose) unless they have video of her bleeding from her face or hands. IMO

Been saying several times to search the desert - relatively near Tucson (because I doubt the perps went far into the desert). Sad, but that's where a body would be dumped.
Exactly what I think! ^^^ some graphic info below.

I’ve been to southern AZ many times, and the desert is vast, with lots of tumbleweed, short shrubs, cacti, some tall8 ft, mostly around 4-5 ft tall. Very unforgivable land. I would think, it would be very easy to hide a body. The dryness and hot sun, shrinks the DB( sorry), to just bones in less than a month. Unrecognizable, maybe even DNA gone, not sure.

Since this is also an immigrant route, many passing die going through the hot desert. They say there are many bones( sorry, graphic). I think it’s already been in the 80s+ in AZ and it’s just Feb.

All just my opinion.

Scroll down in that NBC article then you can find the following text;

"Gloves found at Guthrie's house are being sent out for testing, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a statement this afternoon.
The department said "several items of evidence" were found at the residence, but provided no details beyond the gloves.
The news comes after multiple reports that a nylon glove was found at the home."

Was the black glove found on the side of the road leading towards NG’s house or away from it? If away (ie. car was driving on that side of the road away from the house after crime was committed), it might suggest someone was in the passenger seat tossing it out their window. Seems less likely the driver would have flung it out the passenger window. So while the prevailing assumption may be that there were at least 2 people involved, this may just sort of support that idea somewhat, if the glove was on the side of the road leading away from the house. OTOH if the glove was on the side of the road leading towards the house, then possibly the driver, as they were fleeing the scene, flung it out their window across the road…there wouldn’t have been any traffic at that time of night. This wouldn’t disprove a second person in the vehicle but it wouldn’t support it either. I know other pieces of evidence have supposedly been found and I don’t know anything about their locations relative to the road. Of course all this assumes that the driver didn’t stop the car for them or someone else to get out and place the glove there, and that the glove is actually related to this case. JMO

Quoting myself: “When I think foot of the bed I think a bench. How many people have a dresser 3 or more feet away from the foot of the bed”?

How many women who wear Apple Watches charge the watch on the dresser near other jewelry? Nightstand top is cramped up with lamp, cellphone, landline, book, glass of water etc.. Foot of the bed is odd to me because I can’t see anyone using a bench to charge electronics? What else could be at the foot of the bed beside a dresser? If it was a dresser where NG charged her phone why say foot of the bed?

where are you getting foot of the bed? too many pages for me to go back and find that info now, i'm sorry. but would love a link if there is one.

personal anecdote, my dad charges his phone downstairs from the bedroom in the kitchen. maybe nancy charges it in the kitchen? or by the front door? somewhere that she would remember to put it on in the morning before she leaves the house.

but if foot of the bed has been confirmed somewhere, ignore me.

I've been looking but can't find anything. Has there been a massive ground search. I just look at that terrain and she could be there not too far away. This will be graphic so please stop reading if it will bother you.

How long would it take for decomp in this weather? Would a body smell for a long time?

The notes contained unreleased information so either they are real or there is a leak somewhere and somebody got that info and used it.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a leak somewhere.

Thank you. I've got so much going on right now but I'm very much into following this to whatever ends is in store.

I believe the "foot of the bed" tidbit was from an unapproved media source and has not been corroborated anywhere else. JMO, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I still cannot get past the question of WHY? If nothing was stolen; ransom messages probably fake;
then someone or some persons went to a LOT of trouble to kidnap an 84-year old woman with health issues. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?

Blood droplets are not present in early Feb. 1 am FBI released videos.
Pacemaker does not sync with phone after 2:2X am indicating NG no longer near phone.
Blood droplets visible in BE video Feb. 3--immediately after LE released the scene.
Therefore, blood confirmed as NG's is from early am February 1st.

If I understand correctly, there were no signs of a break-in, I think that was the information from the sheriff. I don't believe that she opened the door, I think that either the door was left open or they had a key. Then the circle of people narrows down if they have access to opening the door of the house.

I dont know if the first one or two ransom notes have been deemed fake (or I guess any of them officially). Certainly, the last two are suspect. I don't think anything conclusive was actually said.

They have not discussed entry or forced entry. Sheriff specifically declined to comment about that.

For some reason I feel the person looks like a running back. Thick thighs, short, stocky and a bigger butt
