Quoting myself: “When I think foot of the bed I think a bench. How many people have a dresser 3 or more feet away from the foot of the bed”?

How many women who wear Apple Watches charge the watch on the dresser near other jewelry? Nightstand top is cramped up with lamp, cellphone, landline, book, glass of water etc.. Foot of the bed is odd to me because I can’t see anyone using a bench to charge electronics? What else could be at the foot of the bed beside a dresser? If it was a dresser where NG charged her phone why say foot of the bed?

where are you getting foot of the bed? too many pages for me to go back and find that info now, i'm sorry. but would love a link if there is one.

personal anecdote, my dad charges his phone downstairs from the bedroom in the kitchen. maybe nancy charges it in the kitchen? or by the front door? somewhere that she would remember to put it on in the morning before she leaves the house.

but if foot of the bed has been confirmed somewhere, ignore me.

I've been looking but can't find anything. Has there been a massive ground search. I just look at that terrain and she could be there not too far away. This will be graphic so please stop reading if it will bother you.

How long would it take for decomp in this weather? Would a body smell for a long time?

The notes contained unreleased information so either they are real or there is a leak somewhere and somebody got that info and used it.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a leak somewhere.

NG house. The easiest way to find it is to look through the much more manageable Media, Maps, Timeline thread.
Thank you. I've got so much going on right now but I'm very much into following this to whatever ends is in store.

I believe the "foot of the bed" tidbit was from an unapproved media source and has not been corroborated anywhere else. JMO, please correct me if I'm wrong.

This height is atypical/an outlier for a central American Latino male. Average is 5'6 or so if I recall correctly. I've never really been of the mind that he appears native central American Latino anyway. I'm thinking Caucasian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or perhaps non-native South American (Skewed more towards European descent).

JMO.
One thing that stood out to me was the eyelashes. The only guys I've seen who have those lashes that are so thick they give the appearance of eyeliner are Middle Eastern or Mediterranean. Not saying there aren't instances in other ethnicities but it's not a common trait (in my experience) for Anglos and Latinos.

I still cannot get past the question of WHY? If nothing was stolen; ransom messages probably fake;
then someone or some persons went to a LOT of trouble to kidnap an 84-year old woman with health issues. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?

Thank you @MassGuy.

Unless LE can pinpoint that NG hand or face blood is from early AM 2/1, then as I've suggested ^, I wonder if that was blood from an everyday bleed for an 84 year old likely on an anti-coagulent (my suspicion per recent pics).

She could have had a bleed that started when she got out of a car in her driveway - maybe caught her hand on something... or maybe her return from her mailbox where she bumped her had.

Then in this scenario, when she stopped at the door to get in (get keys?), she would have dropped a concentration of blood, likely from her hand. IMO.
Blood droplets are not present in early Feb. 1 am FBI released videos.
Pacemaker does not sync with phone after 2:2X am indicating NG no longer near phone.
Blood droplets visible in BE video Feb. 3--immediately after LE released the scene.
Therefore, blood confirmed as NG's is from early am February 1st.

If I understand correctly, there were no signs of a break-in, I think that was the information from the sheriff. I don't believe that she opened the door, I think that either the door was left open or they had a key. Then the circle of people narrows down if they have access to opening the door of the house.

I dont know if the first one or two ransom notes have been deemed fake (or I guess any of them officially). Certainly, the last two are suspect. I don't think anything conclusive was actually said.

They have not discussed entry or forced entry. Sheriff specifically declined to comment about that.

For some reason I feel the person looks like a running back. Thick thighs, short, stocky and a bigger butt

Checking in every half hour or so, since I am working.
So difficult and heartrending to read here.....my thoughts are with Savannah and her siblings.

I'll admit, I'm watching this thread off and on throughout the day but I've not seen anything about gloves found at the house. A few miles down the road, but not at the Guthrie's house. Which Guthrie house?
Yes, I read that they were found down the road.

Exactly what I think! ^^^ some graphic info below.

I’ve been to southern AZ many times, and the desert is vast, with lots of tumbleweed, short shrubs, cacti, some tall8 ft, mostly around 4-5 ft tall. Very unforgivable land. I would think, it would be very easy to hide a body. The dryness and hot sun, shrinks the DB( sorry), to just bones in less than a month. Unrecognizable, maybe even DNA gone, not sure.

Since this is also an immigrant route, many passing die going through the hot desert. They say there are many bones( sorry, graphic). I think it’s already been in the 80s+ in AZ and it’s just Feb.

All just my opinion.
I've been wondering if any buzzards been seen hovering above the desert.

I have wondered if it would work to drive around nearby remote areas with a cadaver dog in the car, window rolled down, and see if the dog alerts to any smell.

  • The FBI today provided new identifying details about the suspect seen in video on the porch of Nancy Guthrie the morning she disappeared. Authorities are looking for a male, who is 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with an average build. He was wearing a black, 24-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack, based on the footage, the FBI said.
  • Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of "TODAY" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was dropped off at her home the night of Jan. 31 after spending time with her family and was reported missing about noon Feb. 1 after she didn't show up to watch a virtual church service with a friend.
  • A man was detained for questioning in the investigation earlier this week and released without charges after speaking with investigators, authorities said.
  • The Pima County Sheriff's Department said it has fielded thousands of calls since the FBI released security photos and videos from the morning Guthrie disappeared. The images showed a potential subject wearing gloves, a mask and a backpack who appeared to tamper with the camera at Guthrie’s front door.
  • Savannah Guthrie posted a montage of home movie footage of her mom on Instagram today. "Our lovely mom. We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope," she wrote.
  • Nancy Guthrie live updates: FBI offers identifying details about man seen on Guthrie's porch

Took them 2 days to release this info? We knew it was a Ozark backpack here as soon as the FBI released the video. Hope they have more details they just aren't releasing yet. They must have more Nest cam video they are still not putting out there.
They likely wanted to wait until they had a suspect description to go with it. They wanted to make sure the height was right, which may have been why they returned this morning.
