The opening and closing garage door literally proves that something else was going on other then dropping her home and suggests someone didnt want to approach the front door camera at that time as it might be seen that she wasn't with them.
How does the opening & closing of the garage door prove that at all? It has been said countless times on this thread that people frequently use their garage to access their home especially given key pad /auto opener and the lack of stairs. There is zero to indicate she didn't do the same. I also understand that not everyone would use the garage door, but it is still totally normal & logical for her to have done so and the opening of the garage door by itself provides no lead imo.

I thought FBI trumps the county sheriff?! I really would like to know why this would be helpful to not release everything they have at this point. They dropped the ball!

The Pima county sheriff has primary jurisdiction in this case.

Thanks for posting this, @MassGuy... It is staggering. Do you think the Sheriff will have to step down, or be removed from the case?
No matter the outcome, the Sheriff will be shredded by the media if he dares give a press conference. His career is over.

Not possible. From Mayo Clinic regarding pacemaker removal.

“It is performed in a hybrid operating room using laser or mechanical sheaths to cut through scar tissue.
Key Aspects of the Procedure
  • Method: A cardiac electrophysiologist opens the original chest incision, detaches the generator, and uses specialized tools—often laser sheaths—to safely remove wires from the heart muscle and blood vessels.
  • Expertise: The procedure requires a multidisciplinary team, including cardiothoracic surgeons, available to manage potential risks like heart perforation.
  • Safety Measures: For complex or long-term implants (e.g., >10 years), procedures are done under general anesthesia in a hybrid OR with advanced imaging (fluoroscopy) and, if necessary, sternotomy capabilities.”
That only applies if the patient is alive and you want to keep them that way. IMO

So, her belongings being found in the house -- her pacemaker disconnecting, apparently from there -- the opening and closing of her garage door -- and most conclusively, her blood appearing on the front steps only after a masked man disabled the doorbell camera in the wee hours of the morning -- isn't evidence enough?

I mean, it's possible to suspect SIL even if you think she did get home from their house. But I think Occam's razor would say that she did get home. Your mileage may vary.

Anyone still suggesting that masked man could be TC can't be taken seriously. End of.

How does opening and closing the garage *literally* prove something else was going on? I rarely use the front door and go through the garage. I know other people who do that, too.
Using the garage instead of going anywhere near the front door suggests that someone didnt want to appear on the front door camera. Also the short time between opening and closing doesn't leave much time for a woman like NG, described as being invariably of low mobility to go inside or be brought inside before the individual who dropped her off would presumably drive away.

It can't be denied that if she had been brought home and walked to her front door it would have helped clear AG and SIL. But because that didnt happen we have to continue to ask why.

FBI agents told NBC's Tucson affiliate KVOA that a pair of black gloves recovered near the home of Nancy Guthrie have been submitted for DNA analysis. It comes as investigators are reaching out to neighbors requesting footage from their security cameras for specific dates and times.

In a chilling video released by the FBI from the doorbell camera of Nancy Guthrie's home, we can see that the person is wearing gloves, as well as a mask and a gun. The FBI is now working to determine if the glove they found on Wednesday is one of the gloves seen in the video.

In the Catalina Foothills, search teams located a glove Wednesday that appears to match one worn by the suspect in the FBI footage. Investigators have not yet confirmed a forensic link between the item and the abduction.
- YouTube

Video from the New York Post shows investigators picking up one of the gloves from the side of a road, reportedly about a mile and a half from Nancy Guthrie's home in Arizona. The glove, seen in images, resembles one on the hand of a person who was captured on videooutside the 84-year-old's home the night she went missing.

The discovery of what could mark a major break in the case comes after the Pima County Sheriff's Department said they received thousands of new tips following the release of surveillance video,

"From the backpack to the holster, to the potential weapon, to the jacket, to the flashlight in his mouth, to the unique ski mask … most of them have some unique characteristics that will absolutely be followed up on," he said.

Sorry if this has already been posted - but I just scrolled down further in the "Google Trends" results and saw it also shows what country the January 21st "Nancy Guthrie house" Google search(es) came from. See screenshot attached

Source:

Snipped by me.

Google Trends is only designed to show trends (as the name suggests), not exact counts of searches, and it may not have accurate data about very uncommon searches. It may only operate on a sampled subset of search queries. So I wouldn't read too much into results for things where there may only be a handful of searches in a given time period. It's not really meant to answer those kinds of questions (like whether some individual was looking up info about NG or her house prior to the crime).

Not defending the Pima County sheriff if it were truly a case of him turning his nose up at the FBI but DNA Labs International, the private lab in Florida, states on its website that it's accredited under both ISO17025, which is the gold standard for testing labs, and the FBI's quality assurance standards so any tests done there would be up to the FBI's standards.
Huge optics move denying the FBI from moving the evidence to Quantico. Agencies, especially the Feds hate this type of stuff which is why you have sources putting this on blast.

Especially from a controversial elected Sheriff who has admitted to misteps of the case in his own press conferences and has been getting a lot of heat. The feds will not take that stance well, considering he's being called the keystone cops in the media.

And yet we still have ZERO PROOF that NG ever made it home from AG and SIL house. Until that's conclusively proven they will remain under suspicion.
What proof do you need? The LE has information, probably much of it is not shared with us (I hope not because we don't need to tip off the real people involved in this event). I don't have proof of when I leave and return home. And I doubt many others do as well because it's a daily occurrence that we are not filmed every minute. MOO

With all the talk of rewards and this new revelation about a person who may have information but allegedly wants to be paid beforehand, my question is, why hasn't a very large reward been posted?
SG has a reported net worth of $40 million and is paid $8 million a year by NBC. Wouldn't an announced reward of, let's say, $250,000 bring much better results if someone really knows something??
What is interesting is they have raised the reward to $100,000. Significantly more than the 1 Bitcoin the most recent ransom request asks for. If they really had info, you would think they would take the $100k instead.

I can guarantee that AG/SIL did NOT open her up and pull out her pacemaker - not a thought even worth pursuing. jmo

I honestly thought that as well, however I also think it would open a flood gate of tips that aren't even close and cause a mess with those taking these tips. I read here that they had to stop taking them due to the amount of calls. Sometimes more $ brings out more problems. IMO

But presumably that would be for someone who is trying to remove the pacemaker while not killing the person they're moving it from, correct? I would think if you didn't care what happened to the person you were moving it from the actual procedure of removing it wouldn't be all that onerous.
It's really close to the skin. The first few weeks after mine was implanted I was afraid the incision would open and the pacemaker would pop right out if I moved the wrong way. It wouldn't be difficult to retrieve from a cadaver. IMO

Why not? He is of similar height and build, the ski mask meets the collar so its impossible to see a beard or lack of one. There is clearly some facial hair around the mouth area and its a Caucasian or light-skinned male. Not to mention the possible tattoo on the right wrist is similar to one that is being discussed on other sites as belonging to the SIL.

As a former cardiac RN who assisted in thousands of lead extractions, this is a wild theory! jmo

If NGs phone was at the house, wouldn't Google maps show the timeline of the phone going to AGs then returning? My phone does that.

my family uses the garage to get into our house about 80% of the time. that way we can leave the front door locked and don't need a key.

it takes me probably 20 seconds max to get the garage door open enough to go under it, make it to the door into the house, and press the clicker that then closes the garage door. two minutes is plenty of time for someone less mobile to do the same.

it's totally fine to suspect the SIL until we have enough evidence not to, but i don't know that anything you're presenting is solid enough for this level of certainty.
