Wouldn’t the glove have been found on the first day if it was inside NG’s home. Curious about the delay to test if info is true.
It could have been sent to a state crime lab, and then it was forwarded on to Florida for some reason.

But logically, they still should have had results a while ago.

Very vague and confusing stuff.

So I just did a google explore search. I did custom dates from 1/1/25 until 1/30/26. The only time her home was searched for was on January 18th, and it was searched 29 times. I am hoping that they were able to find out from where and maybe that is pushing the dates.

Submit that tip! They can narrow that down easily!!!

Why is this even a point of discussion? There is absolutely no reason to suspect anything close to this happened. I think it’s more likely that a javelina kidnapped her than someone randomly excising a pacemaker for unknown reasons.

I thought the person who originally posted about this was a troll. Surprised so many are discussing it.

About the only thing we know for sure in this case is that Brian Entin needs to use more SPF30.

I’m glad the backpack has been identified, but I feel like the holster and its placement are far more important. I have never seen a holster or anyone carry a gun like that before.

So the Sheriff gets to make these decisions? If it happened prior to the FBI’s involvement, or there is other evidence already at the FL lab that might be comparative, am argument might be made for using it. I need more information. I would think that the FBI and this case where the director personally showed up would have been able to put this at the top of the pile. If a decision was made with both agencies on board, okay. If this is a pi**ing contest between the FBI and the local Sheriff, that stinks.

Multi agencies involved in a high profile case get into p****ng contests all the time. However, given his ineptitude Nanos should stand aside, and the FBI probably expected him to do so. Step up or step aside. Now they are fed up and putting him on blast.

But you got to understand Nanos is a guy who once put his political opponent in an election on administrative leave cause he dared to run against him (and that prompted an investigation and calls for him to resign). Elected Sheriffs are more like egotistical mayors than beat cops.

I still cannot get past the question of WHY? If nothing was stolen; ransom messages probably fake;
then someone or some persons went to a LOT of trouble to kidnap an 84-year old woman with health issues. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?
I agree and further to that point, if it was more than one person (which the FBI says is the case and makes sense based on the evidence we have seen), do they all have the SAME motive??

But who benefits from a missing person? No inheritance for 5 years when she might be presumed dead.
If it was a group, wouldn't at least one of them want their pay day soon? Let's say one person (a leader figure) was motivated by something other than money (revenge, pain, control, etc.) but paid the other(s) to be involved. I would imagine the other(s) are getting antsy for the money.
AND they would be a risk for providing info to LE in exchange for a plea deal. EDIT: Unless the entire group is all invested in whatever is playing out now.

---

And yet we still have ZERO PROOF that NG ever made it home from AG and SIL house. Until that's conclusively proven they will remain under suspicion.
I used to think the same but the criminal complaint they issued against the ransom hoaxer, as well as the FBI website asking for tips, both state that the last place NG was seen was her home. Unless they're purposefully lying about that, then I am assuming she did make it home. MOO

Are you sure that wasn't for the other prominent Nancy Guthrie? I think she's a Christian author.

What does it matter if both labs are just as good? Why is the FBI leaking to the news their grievances unless they too are lost and want to finger-point. Look personally? I think both teams have made some mistakes from what I can see...and there have been well publicized issues with the FBI as well recently. Maybe instead of finger-pointing they could have concentrated on doing a top to bottom thorough search on the residence and property when they arrived instead of also it seems missing things that should not have been overlooked (like the roof search and the removal of the other camera) or taking 2 weeks to get google to give them the footage they had. My POV is Local LE and the FIB are both wrong and have made mistakes and need to just concentrate on solving this or calling in some agents who can get somewhere, instead of making a case to the press for a failure. Using the garage instead of going anywhere near the front door suggests that someone didnt want to appear on the front door camera. Also the short time between opening and closing doesn't leave much time for a woman like NG, described as being invariably of low mobility to go inside or be brought inside before the individual who dropped her off would presumably drive away.

It can't be denied that if she had been brought home and walked to her front door it would have helped clear AG and SIL. But because that didnt happen we have to continue to ask why.
Posters should be reminded to use the MOO or other options when stating their opinions only. Otherwise after all this is said and done, posts could be brought up as slander of a person and brought into a lawsuit. MOO

Also Thursday, NewsNation obtained surveillance video that seems to show someone carrying and wearing backpacks similar to those seen in the surveillance videos from Guthrie’s home, attempting to climb over a wall in Tucson at 1:52 a.m., which was minutes after Guthrie’s Nest camera disconnected at 1:47 a.m. and about 20 minutes before the system later detected a person at 2:12 a.m.

The Ring camera video recorded about five miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home is now on the FBI’s radar, with investigators examining its timing in relation to Guthrie’s disappearance

Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed last week that investigators believe they are working a crime scene after processing the Guthrie home. Yet questions have emerged about whether early missteps in handling the scene may have compromised the investigation.

“This is really, for me, pretty new,” Nanos acknowledged in a recent press conference, referring to the intense public attention surrounding the high-profile case.

Despite decades spent in law enforcement, Nanos told reporters he was unaccustomed to the level of public scrutiny accompanying a case of this magnitude

I’m not used to everybody hanging on to my words and then trying to hold me accountable for what I say,” he said.

Crime Scene Released Prematurely

After investigators processed the home and gathered fingerprints, DNA and surveillance images, Nanos confirmed investigators’ fears: they had discovered a crime scene.

But a critical decision came next.

Before federal investigators had an opportunity to revisit the scene, the sheriff’s office released the home back to the family. That move allowed media crews — including Arizona’s Family News — to walk directly to the front door and capture video of what Nanos described as blood droplets.

What is interesting is they have raised the reward to $100,000. Significantly more than the 1 Bitcoin the most recent ransom request asks for. If they really had info, you would think they would take the $100k instead.

I figured maybe they are illegal but want to remain in US, hence not taking official route. That's if they even know...

This is what I'm thinking. Also if glove found INSIDE the house, that means day 1. Was FBI even involved day 1 (I'm late to this case) if so they probably just sent it to the lab they commonly work with.

- now if it's the gloves supposedly found yesterday...that's more concerning.

Also for someone to leak this shows there's a lot of big egos with hurt feelings in that room. Never good for an investigation.
Something else that has occurred to me is that if the sheriff has been receiving reports from the same place, he and his people are accustomed to the format the information is presented in.

It's possible they can sift through the information easier when it's a format they're accustomed to working with.

I personally know how frustrating it can be to move between various DNA sites as each one has it's own way. One I like much better than the other, I use it more, because or so it is easier and faster for me to understand new information.

Exactly!!!! I really wish we could put this one point of discussion to bed unless/until new evidence is revealed in this regard.
