From what I've seen, the last public message from the Guthrie siblings to the "kidnapper" was when SG said that they will pay. How does this relate to what actually happened payment-wise? If no payment was made, do we know why that statement was made?

I believe they wanted a response from whoever was behind the ransom, either proof of life or more information other than a deadline and bitcoin account. To just send money without any confirmation would be crazy if it was in fact an opportunist trying to scam.

Everyone is saying “neighbor” but this is pretty far from NG. Much closer to the U of A where there’s a lot more foot traffic and a homeless population. Crime rate is much higher in this part of town than the foothills. MOO

The guy's clothes are dirty. He's carrying a sweater. We have homeless people who will look for any place to bunk. They will sleep at bus stops, the bench in front of the dollar store, on s sidewalk, you name it.

I understand, but in that last video, when they said they would pay, they did not ask for proof of life. Some assumed that was because the "kidnapper" had provided some specific info about NG in the prior message. I have no idea. Anyway, the impression I got from their last video was that the Guthries had decided to pay without the traditional proof of life. JMO.

WRT your second paragraph, "that leaves somebody wanting NG dead", I also think the crime "seems" personal but I cannot think of the "why" obviously just given what I've heard about the family. And no indication that any of the notes said anything personal TOWARDS the family. NG by all public accounts seemed like a lovely woman, SG isn't overly political or rude or dramatic, no known other family issues. (Key being "known"). MAKES NO SENSE!! for her to be a target. Other than a robbery for some currently unknown reason and accident that led to her death. IMO....

I'd agree with you if Nancy wasn't missing but there's no reason to take an 84 year old woman from her home. Even if she saw a masked figure. Why take her? I'm not implying she's done anything to deserve anything! I'm just looking at what is.

There are two possible exceptions (,and maybe more but it's limited) but by and large it looks like the person who took Nancy wrote the letters. They included information only they would know. So, are they still investigating? Yes. Is it obvious? Yes. MOO

I agree!! But keep considering, they've also done no justice to SG, AG, the brother or anyone else either. Apparently no one other than the UBER driver and the poor guy they detained the other night have been cleared. So just not SIL, but SG, AG, the brother (sorry, CG? can't remember his name offhand), SG's husband, brother's partner assuming he has one (sorry, not aware of that info either) have been cleared.

You are right that this story does not make sense and I am completely shocked it hasn't been solved or NG found. LE should officially clear the family if they feel they are cleared, to stop that speculation. I fear they cannot clear them all so they are clearing none. I personally don't think the family is directly involved but I think there is a family connection in some capacity, and maybe that is why no one in the family has been officially/publicly cleared.

This is a private helicopter. However, it could be searching for Nancy.

I don't believe that the ransom sender and this guy are the same person. You're talking about someone operating on an advanced level on the one hand, and some guy seemingly out of his depth on the other.

We have no idea what he left at the scene, but as we have seen in past cases, criminals make mistakes (even brilliant ones).

I jut hope the glove thing is true, and it was found in the house. It would be a Bryan Kohberger level mistake.

The FBI requested and received a warrant that enabled them to act on digital evidence from the ransom demand to detain the person in Rio Rico, and they acted with the belief that he had in fact committed both actions. Indeed, they went there not just to arrest him for an online scam, but to find a victim that they believed he had kidnapped and either had in his possession or the knowledge as to her whereabouts. Thats a fairly overt and definitive statement that both things are one in the same, IMO.

I also hope that this sick and depraved arrogant deviant made a clearly identifying mistake. Thus far it isn't looking too good, but the media psyop campaign with all of the 'experts' talking about how pathetically amateur he is might just provoke an impulsive and sloppy ego defense. Unfortunately that seems like all they have going for them right now. Might be enough though.

That last picture looks remarkably like the composite that Lois Gibson drew. Maybe it's a wacky coincidence but it sure is unsettling.
