I hope someone is telling her that none of this is her fault - that even if it turns out that whoever did third did it because of SG’s wealth or fame that doesn’t make it her fault. This was sick deranged evil people and she cannot blame herself for their actions. I hope that she is getting some help for her emotional well being. And whether NG is found soon or not, I hope her husband can convince her that she can’t do anything more for NG in AZ now and takes her home soon to be with him and her children so they can hold her and love her and support her as she continues to go through this nightmare. And if she decides not to return to the Today Show, I hope it is because she chooses to take a step back to heal and not because she feels in any way responsible for what happened to her mother. NG would not want SG or any of her children to let these monsters determine anything about their futures - no mother would.

Totally agree ^^^ No matter what, it’s not in any way SG’s fault. It’s some evil people, that do not care about human life. They had their reason for removing NG, and I’m sure it was not a good one.
Of course, it may enter SG’s head, did this happen to her Mom, because of SG’s fame? She may even beat herself up for not seeing this coming. Other self recrimination, is just so sad to think of the trauma and lasting emotional scars.

The truth is, no one in a million years could foresee ( or maybe even stop) this from happening, by doing the right thing, as SG and her family have always done, in caring for NG.

SG is a decent, honest, seemingly highly spiritual person, who strives to do the right thing, at all times. The person who did this operated outside the confines of human decency, so it’s hard for decent people to imagine.

From the scripted notes, what I observed is CG holding back his emotions and being stoic because he was told to. I saw him as a bull in a china cabinet and rightfully so!

I saw SG as a professional news reader, staying calm because she is in front of the camera.

I saw AG as a mess not wanting to be there.

We have no idea of the dynamics there. They all live in different cities from each other. They all love “mom” and want her back and this has to be difficult at the least.

I do wish they would come forward, especially since Nancy, if she is well, has to be worried about them also. That would be a mother’s greatest concern. I would be thinking if someone did this to me, they might do it to one of my children.

In her most recent plea to the kidnappers - IIRC, February 15 - SG's delivery was much different than the previous "scripted" replies to the alleged ransom requests. SG is visibly drained and has aged over the last three weeks. I saw the pain and sadness in her eyes and heard it in her voice. I'm sure that SG's brother and sister are equally distraught. I have been praying daily for the Guthrie siblings because I believe that they are grief-stricken by the disappearance of their mother and the distinct possibility that they will never see her again.

Very promising to find and look for DNA on blood-stained gloves found within 1 mile of NG's home and found on a possible escape road (Campbell Avenue).

If they still had NG in their car, wouldn't they wait to get NG out of the car before disposing of their blood-stained gloves.

One possible idea is that NG was no longer alive and they got rid of her body in that one mile between NG's house and where these blood-stained gloves were found. Once they left her body somewhere on that mile stretch, they got rid of their blood-stained gloves so that they wouldn't have evidence of NG's murder and her DNA in their car.

Is this report of gloves found just a repeat of what we heard 10 + days ago?
We heard that gloves(multiple) were found and tested and no hits on DNA.

These blood-stained gloves were found on Feb 11-- so I assume they already had the results?
Or am I wrong on this?

When I first read the headlines I got excited, but I'm afraid this might be old news being recycled? JMO.

Mods I hope it’s okay to say this. It is not a criticism of anyone. I will report my post so that mods can view it, since I am often misunderstood.

I would like to hear more from the Guthrie family. Nothing scripted. Maybe raw anger that confirms rumors that authorities are not working together, maybe putting some fire under them.

Or, maybe they could give a statement, not scripted, of total confidence in where the investigation is headed and their support of authorities. It’s 21 days out and we have only seen scripted statements and the one video of Savannah expressing her belief that everyone has good in them.

I would like to believe Nancy is safe and alive.

It seems something is very “off” here.

Personally, I don't think anything is "off," except for the huge fact that NG was kidnapped and is likely to be deceased. I realize that others may feel differently.

Statements by the family lead to lots of media coverage, but also to many accusations, which may be why they aren't making them. I think every family responds to such a situation differently.

I realize that though the Sheriff said members of the family and their spouses were cleared, some may not believe that. Of course, sometimes new info changes things. But I'll leave that to LE. As far as I'm concerned, and I believe as far as Websleuths site is concerned, they are victims of this crime.

I realize that the lack of a resolution in this case is very frustrating. I worry that there may be a tendency to take that out on the family or on LE (not that either is necessarily perfect). Just to be clear, I'm trying to make a general point about trends in this thread, more than responding to the above post.

Today street in front of NG home is now one way and msm have been told no cars parked on the street so just tents. This change seems random given some are packing up anyway...but some are speculating that the family may be coming to the house today. I think that would make some sense. Keep the story moving at a quiet time in the investigation.

Cessna aircraft is outfitted with high-resolution thermal imaging cameras capable of detecting heat signatures in rugged terrain. After argument, sheriff had re-assigned pilot to ground duty. No one else could fly plane. Valuable time lost.
NG home area searched, then left. Neighbor alerted missed roof cameras.
Home area not off limits yet revisited by investigators.
Pizza delivery guy walked right into investigation.
Rio Rico man detained because of Door Dash/door broken down. Nothing.
Nearby mother/son home searched. Why? Nothing.
Man/home searched wth no evidence except he was previously in prison.
Found glove revealed no results.
Backpack currently no evidence.
APS left card left in door.
No requests for "people" organized searches for NG.
No ground searches of desert near Tucson.
Reward has not yet worked.
NG not found. Criminal(s) not found. Bitcoin continual demanders not found.
What has a search with no results cost so far?

Indeed, the location of the missing person or the grief of the family becomes secondary or even tertiary to identifying and successfully prosecuting the culprit or culprits. So if they thought that paying a ransom would've impeded the identification and prosecution of the perp(s), even if it meant a strong chance of successful reunion of victim with family, they would've probably dissuaded family from paying.

Heck, until they saw a masked man on her front porch they appeared to have not taken the ransom angle very seriously at all, and perhaps even had tunnel vision on a member or members of her family. That bias likely costed them valuable time and resources, and if the case grows cold that will be the primary reason it does, IMO.

Agreed. Very off. This site is very empathetic towards the family, but based on what I've read on other platforms, the goodwill towards them is waning. It just seems like in other cases, the families fight hard for their missing loved one, and quite frankly, I don't see that here. MOO.

While I agree with your statement, I could almost bet they are being told what to say and what not to say by FBI Profilers or someone else. With SG resources, she is no dummy and probably called in

Totally disagree with this. They WERE allowed to walk up to the door and leave the amazon package and the card. The media was there, they saw it, it was after that, that some of the media decided to walk up there themselves and take photos/videos. The house was released to the family on the Monday after her disappearance, Feb 2nd.

my understanding is there would or should have been two investigations, one missing person's and one aimed at the crime. and that given a choice between getting the missing person back alive and solving the crime the protocol is absolutely to prioritize saving the missing persion.

Blood drops could be from wrist / forearm area. One photo of her shows a bandage on her wrist forearm area. If someone grabbed her arm and led her out of the residence, they could have broken the skin under the bandage, hence the drops of blood.

The blood seems to be a nose bleed pattern. If it was her arm, it would likely trickle down her arm first. The drops would be larger and not as round.
