GUILTY NC - PFC Kelli Bordeaux, 23, Fayetteville, 14 April 2012 - #11

  • #801
NH was always a suspect. The primary one and the only one who could be the last placed with the victim. Some WSers didn't want to believe the violent sex offender homeless dude last seen with Kelli could possibly be involved and were hellbent on blaming others, but NH was always in the detectives' sights as the probable perp, and they were right all along.

He was always my suspect.

Family and PI were told long ago that Fayetteville police investigators had no clue and were not doing anything on the case

  • #806
Reading the article about the investigator finding the broken hyoid bone after the autopsy makes you wonder about the listed cause of death.

  • #807
Troubling that the PD seems inept, but I don't see anything in this recent information that creates concern from a trial point of view. Amended autopsy reports aren't unheard of. They'll examine and confirm whatever they find from the additional testing and add it to their original report. My bigger concern still remains if the PI was acting as an agent for LE, making the confession and anything that led from that confession inadmissible(including the discovery of the body).

Exactly

Just saw this -- notice that it is District Court -- not Superior Court which is where murder/kidnapping trials are held. Who knoze what this is. It could be a scheduling session, or some request by an ADA or def. atty. Maybe MSM will report what it is when the time comes.

Case Number ending in 5644 is "First Degree Kidnapping," and Case Number ending in 5645 is "First Degree Murder."

New court date appears to be 5/27. Someone has to ***** or get off the pot IMO. This can't just go on forever with no clear direction.

  • #811
All kinds of problems with the case; case is a mess I am told.

  • #812
Yes, I for one, wasn't convinced it was him. I thought it seemed almost "too obvious" to be him. I know that doesn't make sense, but I thought he seemed idk nice? niave? I was wrong!

The first case, #CR055644, is for 1st Degree Kidnapping, and the second case, CR55645, is for 1st Degree Murder. In District Court. The Dist. Ct. venue always gives me pause. It should be in Superior Court.... Hmmmm. It's a bother. Dayam, they need to get on with it. Grrrrr.

Just do as we've been doing, I guess -- Hurry up & wait...

Here is an old article from the Fayetteville Observer; please note dates as shown below.

Nicholas Holbert could face death penalty if convicted of Kelli Bordeaux's murder

Posted: Friday, May 16, 2014 9:14 am | Updated: 10:19 am, Tue Jan 13, 2015.

By Nathan Hardin and Nancy McCleary Staff writers

His wrists handcuffed behind him, Nicholas Holbert's somber stare flicked from the judge to the district attorney.

Holbert watched Thursday as District Court Judge David Hasty flipped through the warrants filed against him in the killing of Fort Bragg Spc. Kelli Bordeaux: first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

I had conveniently forgotten that Dr. Maurice Godwin was also involved in this phase of the case. IMO, JHMO: Caveat emptor, please, IMO, where this man is concerned. JMHO.

  • #817
Actually Godwin was not involved that phase

  • #818
It is my understanding that Godwin backed out of the situation months before the body was found due to ethic concerns

Thanks, sundrop! Maybe that's why I had forgotten -- it's been a long time since this whole thing started, hasn't it, folks? And still it goes round & round.

Anyone heard anything new or is NH just sitting? The lenient sentences being given out recently, wouldn't surprise me if he was out soon.
