Many of the comments I've read had led me to conclude NH was the perp and LE was building a case. However, i may have changed my mind somewhat after talking to my sister and heard something interesting but before I post I need to know what the rules are regarding information not released to the public. I've seen voh maintain neutrality. I'm not part of the investigation so I don't know where this info fits or if it's safe for public consumption.

It's possible she's still alive as far as we know. Wouldn't that be wonderful?!!!

It's so unlikely, though I would think it would still go back to Nick, and there would need to be at least one accomplice. LE should check into who he knew in prison, and I'm sure they are already checking all the past phone data they have on him.


Are there a lot of 'ethnic' massage parlours and the like in Fayetteville? Are many of the strippers or masseuses from other countries? That could up the likelihood of Kelli being alive, imho.

Human trafficking is a very real thing, and it is in the US now. If Nick has any ties at all (prison?) to Mexican crime, it ups the likelihood as well. NC is certainly on the drug pipeline to DC and NYC, and cartels are increasingly into human trafficking. Atlanta is also one place with a human trafficking problem, and it's not far in the scheme of things.

I'll still hold out hope for that, awful as that sounds.

With all due respect, the name of the missing woman is Kelli, not Kelly.

An easy mistake to make, as Kelly is the more common spelling, but IMO, when we follow cases, it is a sign of respect to pause before hitting the 'send' on our posts, review them in light of how it will read for the families before hitting the 'send' button. It only takes a few seconds to review and it is well worth the effort.

Glad to have you join the discussion! In answering your question, Kelly being alive is a possibility, but I believe if she is alive that more than one person is involved in her disappearance and I assume it would be some sort of sex slavery ordeal. I think this scenario is unlikely but possible.

In all honesty I am about 99% leaning towards Kelli being dead and Nick being the perp. But that is just what I gather from everything I know so far. There is a lot of stuff LE is keeping from the public so the tables could always turn. What are your thoughts on what happened to Kelli?

And hey you could be right but i think traffickers choose homeless and runaways. These ladies are not missed and the traffickers go undetected. No fuss no muss. I dont think they came and took KELLI nor do i think they took HOLLy. I just think they like to go under the radar, not take a married soldier from FT Bragg Just my thoughts!

I agree that at the end of the day they mean the same thing. What amazes me is that the media put quotes around words that never came out of his mouth. IMO, they should state that they are paraphrasing what Locklear said rather then put quotations.

I'm sorry but it is not normal for a 16 year old to rape a 5 year old. It doesn't matter what level of testosterone Nick had. He raped her because he is a sick and twisted individual, not because his hormones were imbalanced. Come on lets not make excuses for the sake of the victim.

We see women raped and kidnapped and murdered every day here in the good old us of a cause a guy feels the need to have sex! Women have become disposable swept off the street raped murdered and discarded in the trash.

Detective Locklear states at 8:45 in the presser that "the majority of the investigation at this point has been centered around locating her"

The number one priority is to locate Kelli; then to bring the evil doer to justice. LE owes us nothing more at this point. BUT, I sure wish LE would confirm or deny something/anything. This case seems like the perp is so obvious; but just when you think that..... 3 or 4 additional possibilities come to mind.
