PATERSON, N.J. (TCD) -- A 51-year-old woman is being charged after she allegedly stabbed her young granddaughter multiple times, injuring her.

PATERSON, N.J. (TCD) -- A 51-year-old woman is being charged after she allegedly stabbed her young granddaughter multiple times, injuring her.

On Oct. 11, Paterson Police Department officers were called to Carroll Street and Godwin Avenue for a report of a stabbing and found a wounded 5-year-old girl when they arrived.

No motive was given for the attack. Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh said the child was in stable condition Thursday morning.

“It looks like the child is going to survive,” Sayegh said.

Grrrrr. At least the 5-year-old is alive, and apparently she was not injured badly enuff to be in danger of losing her life from this. Where does she go from here? Hoping she has a loving family member with whom she can be safe.
