NY - $250m fraud against Former President Donald Trump, Trump Org., Eric, Donald Jr., Sept 2022, Trial 2 Oct 2023, #2

It's funny, every time Biden makes a mistake, Trump and the media are all over it. Trump however has, on more than one occasion recently at rallys completely lost his train of thought mid sentence. He has got his geography mixed up, and, for reasons that I really can't understand, he talks about how strong his relationship is with leaders that are not considered allies of the USA. He says Kim Jong Un told him that he didn't like Biden, (he used a naughty word about him!!), that the president of Hungary, which shares a boarder with Russia he said, (it doesn't), has a wonderful, "very strong" leader. Cognitively, it seems he may have problems
The right-wing media has been going hard after Biden for any sign of aging (real or imagined), but now that Trump is flailing in court cases, the messaging has turned to poor ol' Donald in his elder years. The "it's political" whine might be turning into "they're going after a feeble old man." Not entirely unpredictable.

What to watch for when Ivanka Trump testifies in the Trump Org. fraud trial Wednesday | CNN Politics
[...]

The initial lawsuit filed by the attorney general last September pointed to Ivanka Trump’s involvement in securing a loan for purchasing Trump’s Doral golf course in Florida and Chicago properties in 2012, which the attorney general alleges were extended in part because of Trump’s personal financial statements that inflated his assets.

“On each of those transactions with Deutsche Bank, Ms. Trump was aware that the transactions included a personal guaranty from Mr. Trump that required him to provide annual Statements of Financial Condition and certifications,” the complaint states.

Trump was asked Monday to verify that he signed those loan agreements and he understood they included clauses requiring a minimum net worth and annual financial statements.

Ivanka was also involved in the bidding on the Old Post Office in Washington, DC, which Trump converted to a hotel before selling the property last year.

James says she expects Ivanka Trump to 'distance herself' from Trump Organization in her testimony

Court much more relaxed than during Trump's testimony

"My wonderful and beautiful daughter, Ivanka, is going to the Lower Manhattan Courthouse, at the direction of Letitia Peekaboo James ... and a Trump Hating, out of control Clubhouse appointed Judge, Arthur Engoron, who viciously ruled against me before the trial even started," Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to the judge's partial summary judgment against the defendants.

Ahead of Ivanka Trump's testimony in Manhattan, her father posted to Truth Social, attacking James as a fraud and referring to Engoron as a "Trump Hating, out of control Clubhouse appointed Judge."

"It is Letitia James and the Judge who are Fraudulent for setting such LOW VALUATIONS in order to undermine and discredit my Financial Statements, thereby making me look bad — Election Interference," he wrote. "Now they are trying to bring Ivanka into the case, despite the Court of Appeals ruling that she cannot be charged. Sad!"

Photographers captured Ivanka coming out of her apartment at 502 Park Avenue where Michael Cohen also lives. It is likely that the apartment will be brought up today to discuss her option to purchase it for $8 million when the company was valuing it for $25 million.

"We uncovered the scheme and she benefited from it personally," James told reporters. "And Ms. Trump will do all that she can to try to separate herself from his corporation, but she is inextricably tied to the Trump Organization and to these properties that she helped secure financing for."

"The people call Ivanka Trump," state attorney Louis Solomon said.

"Who's she?" Judge Arthur Engoron responded jokingly.

Poised and patient on the witness stand, Ivanka Trump described how her husband, Jared Kushner, introduced her to Deutsche Bank's private wealth management division, for which she later became the Trump Organization's liaison and worked to arrange financing for the firm's purchase of the Doral golf club in Miami.

She was shown an email in which she told a different potential lender that "my father will send you his most recent financial statement," a potential indication of the document's importance despite former President Trump's prior testimony that the banks didn't care about his financial statements when deciding whether to loan him money.

"They were just something that you would have," Trump said during his testimony Monday about the statements at the center of the case.
'My father will send you' his statement, Ivanka Trump said in email
Ivanka Trump appears to very poised, friendly and willing to engage with the attorney general's office during her testimony, but is beginning to become more evasive with her answers.

She smiles and speaks softly, responding politely, but has started to repeat the phrase, "I don't recall," in response to documents being shown to her, including letters and emails she wrote herself.

Chris Kise, one of Trump's attorneys, has also made several objections. Engoron questioned Kise if he was "going to object to every document."

Ivanka Trump flashed a smile at Judge Engoron when he recommended to her that, when reviewing evidence, it would be easier for her to look at the big screen set up in the courtroom instead of the papers in her lap.

"Thank you," she said with a laugh.

Ivanka's demeanor is exhibiting what a witness on the stand is SUPPPOSED to look like. Calm, responsive, knows it's okay to say "I don't recall" if she doesn't recall, and in every way the polar opposite of her father. MOO

THIS is what court is supposed to look like.

Night and day.
We know that she wanted no part of this and tried to get out of it, but she's there and she's apparently showing what her father and brothers are incapable of. So far. She didn't give a statement before going into the courtroom, maybe she won't give one afterwards, either. The other three used the opportunity to campaign.

I get more angry every time he uses that racist term for the Ms. James.

Infuriating and outrageous and I hate that I give anyone the power to make me this angry but language is power and this is how this stuff gets normalized. No one calling it out. More and more and more angry.

Like other successful folks, he split from NY for greener pastures.

Maybe they just need a last pound of flesh from him.

Maybe he broke the law, which was already decided because there is LOTS of evidence that he did.
