Donald Trump's lawyers are scheduled to begin presenting the defense's case on Monday following the conclusion of the presentation of the New York attorney general's case -- but New York AG Letitia James is arguing that four of the defense's expert witnesses are no longer relevant.

In a filing made today, James argues that Judge Engoron's partial summary judgment decision and subsequent changes to the state's case have made make the testimony from the four experts irrelevant.

State lawyers plan to make an oral motion to preclude the expert testimony tomorrow, according to their filing.
New York AG moves to stop testimony from defense experts

this kind of explains, at least for me, why Kise expects their defense to take until at least December 15th to put forth. Sounds like the defense is still treating this as if it were the trial. It is not. A (Partial) Summary Judgment has already been rendered - this phase is simply to determine the penalty, not if the fraud occurred. (Facepalm) these guys are something else.

I was thinking this same thought today. My dad owned his own business and held elected office. NOTHING would even tempt him to ever, ever, ever put his kids in a position of committing fraud or crimes. (If we screwed up, it was our doing, not something he led us to.)

Trump groomed his three oldest kids to be fraudsters. imo

I get more angry every time he uses that racist term for the Ms. James.
IMO
I do not actually understand the reference-? what is he saying? I do find it odd that he is cruel and uses name calling but seems to avoid all four letter words when he is railing against people he deems his enemies, IMO.

he isn't using racial epitaphs for the AG, rather he continues to call attorney Leticia James a "racist"

Some people say peekaboo is a racist term, some people say it is an x-rated term, Michael Cohen thinks it is neither.

Cohen thinks that trump thinks he is playing a game of hide-n-seek with the AG. Cohen also says that trump has the vocabulary of a 10 year old, and he thinks trump has dementia ... which is exacerbated by the stress piled on him right now.

I am embarrassed by him and I'm not even related to him. I can't imagine how it feels if you share DNA with him. JMO

He has never explained what he means. I'm guessing he doesn't even know. It's a covfefe outburst that he decided to keep rolling with because it gets people talking every time. moo

He combined two racist terms that I can't type here into one amalgamation/portmanteau. JMO

Asked about why the Trump Organization worked with Deutsche Bank to secure financing for its purchase of the Doral golf club in Miami, she spoke wistfully about the property.

"My father had a deep and nostalgic love for that particular property," she testified.

"He told me he took my mother there," she said with a smile, recalling her father bringing her there when she was a child.

"They were really impressed by what we had done over the course of several years in terms of upgrading and refurbishing the property," Ivanka Trump said.

It's code like that frog thing to signify you are a white supremist.

I'm in KY and was appalled by the ads put forth showing the AG candidate, a black veteran and jag lawyer. In other years a veteran with those credentials would be lauded.

In this part of her testimony, the NY Times reporter says that it is the first time today that Ivanka's testimony has resembled her father's .... her answers are long and meandering.

Apparently, the judge just lost his patience with Kise. (live update 7 minutes ago)

Judge Engoron told Kise that he doesn't appreciate the frequent insinuations that he is biased against trump's legal team.

It is about objections. Judge says that Kise can think he is biased, or he could try to understand that the AG's objections have been of greater validity than Kise's objections.

Doral? Right next to Miami International Airport? Next to the Warehouse district? That Doral? Weird place for a ”billionaire“ to have deep and nostalgic memories of.

I tend to agree with Cohen on the 10 year old vocab and the possible dementia thing. I have never heard of peekaboo in the context some are placing it so will cede to others with more knowledge on the subject.

I think he is referencing his allegation she had an inappropriate secret relationship with someone..."peekaboo" (he made the news with that allegation awhile ago, but news stories die fast since he is constantly making news), and some have speculated it also sounds like a racist term. Either way, it's stupid, childish, and completely uncalled for. Can't he face an opponent without name calling like a bully at recess?
