He was threatening anyone and everyone. It was just a matter of time before he chose who he was going to attack. He didn't care if he went to prison.
Yes, people who were there have made it very clear they were terrified.

“People that travel the subway see and hear everything — this was different. And frightening.

“People were gravitating towards the exit doors, and we couldn’t get out because we were still between stations,” she continued.

“People exited quickly [when we pulled in], and people were trying to call 911 when they were in the train … I sensed danger.”

No one knows whether Mr Neely would have chosen someone to attack or just kept yelling. Obviously DP assumed an attack was imminent and it’s certainly his right to make that judgement call. But as I have said many times, his choice to perform a potentially lethal chokehold that killed Mr Neely was not the kind of “protection” anyone on that car needed. There are other ways to subdue someone, even a correctly performed blood choke to render him unconscious in seconds, for which DP likely was trained in as a Marine. But he chose to choke him to death, even though two other men were there to help.

He had no idea about that. I guess I can look up some cases on PACER and go choke some people out tonight cause they have committed crimes in the past. Is this why we have sex offender registrys? So I can choke people out and then go "it wasn't my intention to play judge, jury, executioner so no harm, no foul" MOO
My point was that the elderly woman who was brutally assaulted by JN had no one there willing to protect her from the brutal assault.

The elderly woman who was present during JN's threats of violence didn't need to know about that incident because he was directly exhibiting threatening behavior in her presence. She used the term "hero" to describe Penny's actions.

From your link, a quote from the 66 year old female eye witness:

“I think Mr. Penny deserves a chance … Mr. Neely, he gave people cause to feel that their life was being threatened. He didn’t care. He said he didn’t care. I consider [Daniel Penny] to be a hero.”

Per the article, she stated she will testify to all of this in court, if needed.

ADMIN NOTE:

As before, this discussion is going absolutely nowhere and is just back to the same old, same old. Everybody has their heels dug in with their opinions about the same issues being stated over and over again, and that's simply non-productive.

We've opened a MEDIA, MAPS & TIMELINE *NO DISCUSSION* thread for members to contribute MSM and other approved articles to. Any discussion that starts up in that thread will be removed and members banned from the *NO DISCUSSION* thread.

Thread is closed at least until a trial date is set or if there is some other major development reported in MSM.
