Exactly. Something just sounds very off. If he was on the couch and woke up "alone and in the dark", he implies that JR, LD AND Joey were all sleeping in JR's bed....I don't think so. It's a one bedroom apt, right? Also, since MG and LD are ROOMMATES, don't you think he would have not left without him? I have lived in NYC for many years and my former roommate is also my best friend, as these two are/were. No way would I ever go home without her...especially if I lived in NJ and had to take cabs, trains, etc to get home. But even if I was right around the corner from home, I'd grab my roomie and we'd leave together. It was the morning and it was time to go home. Why leave LD and bounce so suddenly? I'd look for my roommate, even if that meant knocking on the bedroom door. Does not add up, in my opinion.

When LD was making his admissions/confession to NYPD before his attorney entered the room and silenced him, I wonder if he had placed MG as still in the apt when JR stepped into the supposed argument he was having with Joey over cigarettes.

I think LD may have.

I read somewhere a statement from one of the attorneys that JR and LD would be tried together, but MG separately. Yikes, that would be interesting

Welcome and I agree.
Needless to say, MG's story rings a tad bit hinky IMO. As does the argument over cigarettes.

OTOH, IF LD's attorney were to get his so-called confession thrown out, well that could be good for all three

Could Jeffrey Rackover be paying for all of three of the accused attorneys? They seem to be collaborating and trying to synchronize theIr stories.

This case is so strange. Not a peep from the police, friends, enemies.. No one. Its almost like the internet is even censoring what is being said. Could "Big Daddy" be worth that much?

Maybe Joey was set up and was passed out/asleep at the time. How else could he have so many wounds in one spot?

I also read that Pat Comunale's company had done some security work for the Sutton. Joey and Jeffrey both enjoyed vacationing in the Hamptons. Imo I find it very hard to believe there isn't a Jeffrey and Joey aquaintance of some sort. Maybe Jeffrey was feeling used by James and his constant companion Larry.

^^^ Respectfully, BBM

In the NYC and Metro NY cases, this is quite common and the norm IMO.

I was surprised we got as many leaks from unnamed NYPD sources as we did. I expect that may change

A rage killing can produce that many stab wounds to an "awake" individual. Consider Jody Arias' twenty plus stabs wounds to Travis Alexander. His torso and head were riddled with puncture wounds.

I do not think Jeffrey is paying for all the lawyers. The perps are from well-to-do families, prominent people in their community (one father is a former mayor). The families can afford their own lawyers and would know how to find the best representation for their kids. Well, that's the case for LD and MG. I'm not sure if Jeffery is paying for James' defense.

IDK, but my guess is that he is. May just want him to have best and fair representation while also protecting his own best interests, reputation, etc:

<snip> “The building, quite frankly, doesn’t want him there,” Sercarz said. “They’re concerned about his notoriety.”

Jeffery Rackover was not in court, and “needs his space,” the lawyer said. “His car has become a crime scene, his home has become a crime scene. He’s been linked in the media to a horrible crime. But his distance should not be read as doubt of his surrogate son’s innocence.”

Yes, it is in his interest to see that James is well represented. I agree with that.

This article states that Jeffrey and James spent the summer apart. At summers end, it was decided it was time for James to move out. Jeffrey was shocked at the extent of James prior legal problems, yet rented the apt. for him anyway. It sounds like he was trying to end it. Could he have been threatened or blackmailed into complying?

At the beginning of the relationship:

*snip* Soon, the jeweler started lavishing James with fancy cars, expensive watches, gym memberships, Hamptons rentals and European vacations.

It seems Jeffrey may have a pattern. Joey's Instagram Porsche post was made 18w ago. That would be right around summers end.. Imo..

Almost forgot about this - it was reported:

'Jeffrey went to sleep on Saturday night, then at 10am he went down to Jimmy's apartment to walk the dog. The place looked fine,' he explained.

So Jeffrey was down in the apartment as of 10am Sunday and said he saw nothing out of the ordinary.

You have to wonder if Jeffrey (the older/REAL Rackover) knows something and/or was involved in this in any way. There was another report of the "father & son" watching football in the younger Rackover's apartment on Sunday. If so, where was the body????????

It's already been widely reported that Jeffrey is NOT paying for James' attorney. He DEFINITELY is not paying for attorneys of LD & MG.

Do you have a link for Jeffery not paying for the lawyer? I thought he was, but that he wasn't going so for as paying for bail.

Joey comes from a family of means. Believe so do LD and MG. The only one who doesn't is James.

He lived home for a bit. He worked in Sales at a company his father is the president of. JC's parents purchased his townhouse, and may have contributed towards the purchase of his new Porsche.

IF not, Joey may have purchased it on his own not having the usual expenses of high rent, college loans, etc. and an excellent salary for someone his age.

IAE, whatever pattern Jeffrey may have, it doesn't involve Joey:

“It’s been tough for us, but I can tell you he lived a full life,” the elder Comunale said Friday. “He had a nice townhouse, a brand new car, everything to live for. Everything to live for. And he did it his way.”

Comunale, a go-getter who worked in sales, recently purchased a Porsche Macan — a luxury SUV that costs between $47,000 and $67,000.

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...bers-son-fears-bail-killers-article-1.2879187

After graduating from Hofstra in 2012, Comunale moved home to Stamford, where he played in adult sports leagues and worked out regularly at the L.A. Fitness on Sixth Street.

Comunale lived alone at XX, a development of 1980s townhomes on Bedford Street. According to property records, Comunale occupied a 1,100-square-foot condo purchased by his parents in 2012.

Before moving to Chesterfield, Comunale lived at home, still engaged in his college social life.

“I got tired of my wife staying up, waiting for him to come home on Saturday night,” Patsy Comunale said. “He went away to school. I used to tell my wife, ‘He hasn’t been here in four years, what are you waiting up for?’ ”

*snip*Nevertheless, the elder Rackover did not appear in court and, according to Sercarz, will not be posting bail money, which will instead be raised by Rackover’s mother who intends to mortgage her Florida home.

It seems they are stressing the point of Jeffrey not paying and now, after a month, his mother is coming forward to mortgage the house? To hear James sob story, he came from nothing. Could it be a front so Jeffrey can keep everyone on the same page lawyer wise? Imo that is what it seems.

Can you explain this? TIA
