Is there any speculation on where the weapons and vehicles have been all this time that investigators did not find this evidence before?

Id love to know where they hid the weapons as well.

Just a guess, but I do think once the others have made deals or are convicted, the state will reveal some of the details about the crime.

Since the arrests, they've released some information. When ready, they'll probably release more info about the shooters, the timeline, how and where they hid weapons and other evidence.

Wow. Very interesting. I'm afraid we are still being duped by Jake Wagner. However, I believe AC and her team are two steps ahead of him and his lies. He's like a spider, weaving himself and his family a tangled web, IMO. Very possible it's all part of a Wagner plan. Thanks, Dudly.

Jake is a sociopath/psychopath. He's such a narcissist that he doesn't care and can't relate to the feelings or emotions of other people, even his own family.

He's done. He's not going anywhere but prison for the rest of his life. His family are in the same situation. It's all over except for the paperwork and technicalities. Those will take a while because each of the other 3 family members have to make their own plea deal, have it reviewed and sign off on it.

I assume when the time comes, each of them will also appear in court for the same type of hearing that Jake recently had, where Judge Deering asks them to respond on record to all the same questions, for each of the counts against them.

Following that, each will have a formal sentencing process, in which the penalties for each count and specification will be calculated and the formal sentence will be handed down. Some of them may appeal for things like visitation privileges, etc. It's just a formal process.

Each will be sent to a prison to serve their sentences.

Thank you, @BettyP. Your posts are most encouraging and I know you have the knowledge and experience to back them up. Also, I really appreciated the post you made about how the hearings have proceeded and WS's attorney's comments. All this time, I have wondered why in the world not a single defense attorney has provided reciprocal Discovery to the State/court regarding their client. Is it really this easy? The Wagners just don't have a leg to stand on. It's going to be interesting. Question: If the other three plead guilty, will Jake's trial still start in August as planned? TY!

Do they have to plead guilty in open court? I seriously can't see George 4 up there in front of everyone saying he is guilty of 8 murders. I just can't see it.

Likewise Billy. Not in front of his mom and sister. No way.
I just don't see them admitting they did it.

Jake was going to be given a death sentence (high odds) so he was backed into a corner. Had no choice.

The other three have nothing to bargain with, in my opinion. Jake has backed them into a double corner. What could they possibly think they could gain from going to trial? But knowing what we do of these evil people, they won't give up easily. They will pay the piper sooner or later, I have no doubt. Let them rest in guilt every coming day.

I'm perplexed with the taking DP off the table for the others in exchange for Jakes testimony. What do they have to lose as now prosecutors don't have anything left to bargain with. Unless he was physically in each trailer and viewed each person murdered how can he attest "yes, so and so murdered so and so..." otherwise it's hearsay. I know, I'm beating a dead horse here.

There will be no trial for JW. He has entered a guilty plea so there is no need for trial in his case.

Plea deals, hearings, and sentencing.... How will we ever learn the answers to all of our questions. So many unanswered questions. Will the media look into more details? Do I have to wait for the movie?
Where did they hide the guns? The vehicles, what kind of vehicles were used....
I need closure.

Probably, some of it will be revealed in this process. It's possible details will be revealed as each defendant's attorney discusses their charges in court. Perhaps some will not plead guilty to some of their charges if they felt they weren't involved. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks. It sounds as though the Wagners don't have any exonerating evidence. That's never been a problem for them in their past criminal activities. Apparently, they were used to having charges dropped or allowed to expire for their previous crimes. Certain family members seemed to be able to pull strings to take care of problems. Maybe they also watched "Boondock Saints" too many times.

Apparently, they thought they could bluff and bluster their way through the investigation. It almost worked.

I wonder if G's son's mother has anything to say when they are safely locked away forever? I wonder why she was so sure that AW or the boys would kill her if she did not sign her parental rights away?
Could she get her parental rights back if it was proved that she signed them away under duress?

It's not hearsay because Jake is an eyewitness. If Jake told someone his dad was there that night and that person told the police, that would be hearsay. For the most part they don't allow hearsay in a criminal trial.

Jake can verify which guns Billy and George used so the ballistics will show which person each one of them shot.

With no DP Jake is helping to just put them in regular prison.

Canepa couldn't ask Jake to help condemn and kill his own family. I can't imagine any prosecutor in their right mind wanting to put a family member into that position. "Hey, we will drop the DP on you but you have to help us send your entire family to death row."

Legal Encyclopedia, Legal Forms, Law Books, & Software

hearsay

The hearsay rule prevents judges and juries from relying on secondhand information when determining guilt, but has many exceptions.

IANAL, but I'm pretty sure that's the way its done with plea bargaining. You have to admit to the charges you agreed upon in court. The plea agreement has to be spelled out in court, before the judge.

If any of the other defendants claim they're not guilty of all the charges, then they have to provide some evidence and have their attorneys negotiate their plea agreement based on that. They don't have a choice. If they decided to go to trial, they'll have to face the prosecution with all the evidence and testimony from Jake Wagner. They're not going to be able to pick and choose, unless they have solid evidence that they didn't commit the murders and didn't know the murders were going to take place, among other charges.

Remember, they don't have to pull a trigger to be considered guilty of murder. GW4 did a lot of things that implicate himself in the planning.

I assume all of this haggling on plea deals is happening now between the other 3 Wags, their attorneys and the prosecution.

JMO, anyone who thinks GW4 will somehow get out of this needs to go back and read the charges, along with the Ohio Criminal Code.

They still could do an Alford Plea and not admit guilt.
