Actually, Pike County is in Eastern Daylight Time. They're just starting late, as usual. I hope they're not having trouble getting a court reporter there. That happened in some of the recent hearings.
:D

Me, too, earlier. I do that all the time watching these hearings. You'd think I'd learn by now. They do all kind of look the same.

If they're in conference with the Judge, they might have a lot of negotiations in process. Hoping, anyway. It would be nice for the family if this could all be finally resolved soon.

Video of the courtroom is up. I don't think there's any audio yet.

I dunno. I have always thought George really wants a trial and is expecting a sympathetic jury. JMO

So now the judge will just rule on all those motions not agreed upon by prosecution and defense, correct? Will he call another hearing to issue those rulings of just file them?

I was afraid I was going to miss the live, but I see it is delayed.

Thanks for the links everyone.

Hopefully he'll respond at this hearing, since the motions were filed way back in August. IDK. AC will offer her rebuttal.

JMO, his attorney will keep filing Motions to leak as much information as possible that's favorable to George. He's trying George's defense in the news media, JMO. He'll do that until the Judge makes him stop.

Just as interesting will be Billy's next hearing on Nov. 15. He lost his argument that he should have his DP dropped regardless of how Jake testifies at trial. He's on his own now and could end up getting the DP if he chooses to go to trial.

Same with George, really.

We're hoping the attorneys and Judge Deering are hashing out a plea deal or something. Not likely but we can always hope.

If the family can put one more behind them that would be a great outcome. It looks like family is entering the court room now.

I think two hours late is a new record for this case. Hope that's good news.

I wonder if some of the family had to return home or go to work because they couldn't wait any longer?

Lawyers coming into courtroom. Prosecution.

Audio is on now.

Defense attorneys now in court. I hope they leave the audio on this time, they keep turning it off.

Here comes George

Sounded like next hearing will be Dec. 22 so I take that to mean no agreement has been reached. IMO

It is very hard to hear even at full volume.

Judge going through formalities

Last hearing Sept 13 indicated motions, situation may have changed so rescheduled for today.

Have been talking about the motions in Chambers resolved some.
Some are withdrawn some at future hearings

Motion will be filed requesting a Dalbert hearing re shoeprint evidence. Dec 22 9 am
61 filed Jan 22 Motion to exclued photos of shell casings - will be set for hearing on Dec 22 May be able to resolve with stipulations

62 motion re appt of Wilson as prosecuting atty (didn't hear someone coughing

63 Motion granted complied with state? Continuing duty to provide defense with.,

64 Compel transcripts of audio - withdrawn on April 28 will reflect in record today

65 compel production of Other Acts - set motion to hear Dec 22. Parties may refine their argument, possibly some items may not be pursing all. May not be objections to some of the OA

66 Motion to set pretrial schedule - has been withdrawn

67 Withdrawn

68 Defense depose critical witness - withdrawn

69 - Withdrawn

70 Set trial date, has already been granted

71 Quash subpoena - ruled on previously

72 Withdrawn - state provided

73 Set for argument on next hearing Dec 22 9 am

Compel discovery filed Oct and state's reciprocal Motions are each granted. (These were motions filed last week or so. I think 74 and 75)

State given until Dec 21 to provide supplemental, Defense given until Dec 31 (?) to provide reciprocal.

If any party thinks he hasn't recited properly state it now.

Junk says they're ok, Nash says its accurate

Counsel should work to schedule more hearings each month. Asking defense counsel if having access to defendant, complaints - no. George is happy with attorneys, no complaints.

Adjourned
