The thing is there are so many sub communities in the larger communities. Many people that shut themselves off. Racial groups that don't like other racial groups. And neither are white.
There are parts of the city that are like their own little country.

As for brotherly love, we saw that here as that man stopped to care for that child.

You're right Pirplegrl...Thank you for reminding me. I was tired and emotionally drained while posting previously. :blushing:

this is utterly ridiculous....they should have someone in custody by now.

This is a VERY large reward. My guess is that the people involved are not well known in the neighborhood. Otherwise, someone would have said something by now.

This is a child sex crime case, not a drug or gambling crime. People don't snitch about drugs and drug violence because there is an understanding of those crimes and those involved. This is much different and most people would give up information (esp. with reward) rather than protect a pedophile. No, we don;t know who it is because they (the community) don;t know who it is.

N was found in Upper Darby. I would like to know more about how she ended up there. Did she escape or was she dropped off. I've read several versions and think that is a key piece of information.

I keep toyiing with that idea as well. The only thing I get hung up on about taht is that N said she was female and went by the name Rashida. I can only assume why she identifies her abductor as female.

a) female garb?

b) voice?

c) did she see abductor in the home not wearing that burqa and niqab?

N thinks it was a female. I don't know how much info she is working with. I have to assume she saw more of this person than we did on the videos. Therefore I can only take a 5 year old witnesses word for it.

Of course, :) I didn't consider N knowing if the person was female by her voice. That makes perfect sense.

http://www.philly.com/philly/educat..._case_of_5-year-old_abducted_from_school.html

A small but motivated group of West Philadelphians vowed Thursday night to help authorities find the people responsible for kidnapping a 5-year-old last month from her Philadelphia public school.

"We're going to be in the streets. We're going to knock on doors. We're going to pass out leaflets. We're going to turn this community over. We will - as of today - flush out the persons who are responsible" for the abduction and assault of the girl, said Pamela Williams, a pastor and activist.

Police sources now acknowledge that the girl was brutally assaulted before she escaped and was found crying on a playground in nearby Upper Darby.
I had not seen this in print anywhere. Wondering who the unnamed police sources are. :(

There has been as much as $250K offered in Holly Bobo's case, in a very small town where LE has said the perp has to be a local. In almost two years, not a peep, apparently.

I believe the $250,000 reward is for the safe return of Holly Bobo. Sadly, I'm afraid that's not possible.

OT I am not sure if that is the case for all of it. The reward seems to be made up from various sources. Will check. Anyway, rewards don't seem to work very often. And would an innocent neighbor with suspicions really need money to come forward in this neighborhood, I wonder? JMO

ETA Holly's reward says arrest and conviction of...at least the part put up by the state.

Seems like the community is dedicated to get justice for N. So no, I don't think they really need to offer a reward for an innocent neighbor to come forward. Chances are someone who may know something is much more likely to be related to or have a close relationship with the perps and for them to set aside loyalties and turn them in, yeah I think there would have to be something in it for them, unfortunately.

Googling around for Rashidas in Philly and one of the links was for name meanings. Found it ironic.

Rashida - Muslim Origin, Meaning conscious.

The Muslim community in Philadelphia held a meeting venting frustrations over people committing crimes dressed in traditional Muslim garb.

"We have a right to wear a face veil if we choose to, that's our right, our God-given right," said Alia Walker.

I'm not sure a criminal would comply with the law. If it brings "N" case to the front page then I am all for it.

**Rumor alert**************
Has anyone heard that N had to get a colostomy bag due to her injuries? My aunt says she read it somewhere online, but I hadn't heard that before. I really hope thats not the case.

:what:

Oh dear Lord, I sure hope not! :please::please:

I have a close family member with an ostomy. It has made his life living h-e-double hockey sticks nightmare.

Off to look for more info about it. :notgood:

I have read some tonight since the rumor. I hope it's only temporary for her to heal. It is not uncommon in brutal rapes. It's not uncommon in hysterectomies which would be horrid for this little girl for life or there are some websites mentioned needing a colostomy bag for FGM. It can be a lifelong need too. I hope not.

I feel she was most likely brutally raped/sodimized. May she be strong again one day.

That is just too sad to know.

Oh geez. :(

They have to catch these creeps. Poor little N.

Just thinking out loud here and I could be way off- but many of you have mentioned how in that area no one will speak up and that could be a reason why there have been no arrests. Again, I apologise if this seems off, but would releasing certain details of the injuries the poor little angel received maybe spur the community into action? I know that assault on children details aren't normally released, but the outrage may help?

I don't know. I just want these sick SOBS caught. I can't imagine the terror and trauma N continues to go through. :(

I think that's what they are trying to do, while protecting her and her privacy. They have been giving a lot of one liners with powerful words tangled in. I think they are making sure people know she wasn't taken to a slumber party, and that sheis scarred on the outside and emotionally.
Like a respectful 'hint hint' sort of thing.

If the perps are still in the area, I say good. I do really think they came in and were out fast after N was released. If not, glad you stayed. :seeya:

I wonder if there was a family with out of town family or visitors who arrived or a church group, a recently deceased person with family taking care of an estate or a move out from a rental? I have no idea how Philly works to be honest.

I'm just baffled by not entering the homes by now via search warrants or via permission from home owners. I know, that takes time, just impatient is all. The majority probably have already. I just don't know.

Truth is, we aren't going to know a lot unless a trial. I can sit here and find mistakes or clues all day but it is only circumstantial information or suspicion at best. It can bring an arrest but it won't be me who would break a case. It will be a person who knows something I think in this case. A person who hasn't told all unfortunetly. What a shame. I hope the one piece in every case makes it's way to justice and especially for N. My heart hangs heavy for this little one. So young. I absolutely support any laws that will protect the children over the perps rights. Take that!

I really do believe that little N was set free. Considering that LE cannot figure out who did this (at least it seems that way on the surface), these people could have gotten away with murder - literally. But they let her go. I believe it this was a case of sexual assault or even child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, then they probably would have killed her and disposed of her body. But they let her go. That makes me think more than anything that whatever they did to her, it was a message to someone. It just breaks my heart that they would shatter a little girl's life to do so. :(
