This is so sad. What happened to Philadelphia as the “City of Brotherly Love?”

In all honesty we have some of the nicest, most helpful, kind and sincere people here. Yes, our crime rate is high, but when you get to the nitty gritty even tourists will tell you how good the folks here are.

FWIW just reading through some of the posts. Someone mentioned the people not being well known in the neighborhood. That's a good point.

Five years ago I could tell you almost every person that lived on my block and the surrounding blocks. We all knew eachother. The older folks died off and their offspring split. People came in from New York and started buying up houses left and right and then rented them. We also had Section 8. Today? People stay maybe a year and beat the rent. If they do stay they have all kinds of people living in there or they themselves leave and let a relative or someone else pick up the rent. The absentee landlord could give a cluck as long as they get their loot.

Today just across the street from me? I couldn't tell you who lives there and who stays there in at least six houses. People come and go with license plates from many States. They seldom will even look your way. Sometimes there are children and sometimes not.

This can absolutely be the case with the perps that hurt "N". That or nobody knows or they are afraid to talk even for all that money.

Yep! No one knows their neighbors anymore. When I grew up my mom would yell for me for dinner, because I had to be out playing on a nice day. These days? It's negligence and a missing person's report if you aren't home by a certain time. I knew all of my neighbors back then. I am now in a house that I've lived in for over a year..and I know 2 people..and it's a military neighborhood at that!

WTH??? If this happened in a house, did the perps own the home or rent? If they rented, are they still living there? Did anyone move out suddenly, in a rush, after the kidnapping? Are the landlords from the block being questioned about who's moved out recently? Anything???

thanks! :)

maybe the woman didn't know N, but she was picking her up for the man? i do believe that she did ask for N by name, because how else would she have managed to get N out of school?

From same article:

"Surveillance video of his granddaughter’s abduction shows a woman dressed in Muslim garb taking the girl out of William C. Bryant Elementary School at 60th Street and Cedar Avenue, on January 14. A man meets up with the woman and victim a few blocks away."

I guess they have him in surveillance tapes? Why haven't they released a pic?

I just had a thought...

does anyone think LE is hesitant to show the man because vigilantes might take the law in their own hands....and rush to kill the perp instead of lead LE to him?

:dunno:

I overlooked the fact that the man was on video! Ack....LETS HAVE THE cops give a detailed description of this 🤬🤬🤬...a sketch...something.
WE CNNOT ALLOW OUR CHILDREN to be kidnapped from school and brutally abused!:banghead: IMO

Maybe the tape quality is so bad that they can only make out that the person is wearing male clothes with male build?
