"[She] told her teacher that she was me, her mother, and that she was taking her out to breakfast and N***** was already signed out at the office and she took my child and left," Rashid said.

This directly contradicts Rashid's own father, the Iman's claim that "we suspect this was random"

I hope that this was not played publicly, because this is disturbing to me. It could influence people to not call tips in because they think its just 'a minor detail' or 'unimportant'. It could be that very miniscule tip that breaks the case. No one knows everything that LE knows, and it may be that tiny detail that pulls it all together for LE. I understand that hoax tips and well meaning tipsters can "clog the system" but LE knows how to weed through them. I hope this doesn't STOP, lets say, a neighbor who has a 'hinky' feeling but no concrete evidence.

BTW--I will have to look it up but I could have sworn that I saw LE say something about 20 tips and now Grandpa says 200! Anyone else remember this???

Someone may have speculated about this thought earlier - would it be possible that whatever injury the child had could have taken place BEFORE the abduction? She was absent from school for several days prior to the day she was taken. I believe it was a Th & Fri she was not at school, and she was taken on a Monday, no? Could this be an elaborate way to deflect attention from where/when/how that injury happened? These are purely hypothetical questions. But I would imagine a thorough medical examination would be able to pinpoint at least the timeframe of when an injury ocurred, depending on where on the child the injury was. Maybe? I am just thinking out loud here....

I don't think LE necessarily agrees that it was random. Remember, this is the grandfather who is being quoted above. I think LE knows more than they are letting on. Maybe not enough to make an arrest or have names, but I think they have an idea if it was random or not. JMO

I had NOT thought of that...

but... That makes more sense to me in light that IF the abductors performed the unspeakable...,then the poor girl would be more (trying to put this delicately...) physically "under the weather" in that short amount of time when she was found by NM?

It's very plausible, especially in this crazy case. I have some further speculation but I will do a little more research before I post.

I am thinking the male on surveillance videos is probably not a good enough quality or close enough shot to offer distinct detail as to clothing, general build etc., let alone facial features.

Otherwise, why in heck would LE not have released an image of him long before now?

So frustrating that no one has been arrested yet. It boggles the mind honestly. They know basically down to the block that she was taken to. I realize there are a lot of houses in that small area of interest, and many may be broken up into apartment housing, which would double or triple the possible occupants but FGS, how can they not have at least found the house she was taken to yet????

Muslim leaders are going to meet on Saturday. They plan on canvasing the neighborhood again.. I'm glad to hear of the increase of the reward. I can't imagine anyone protecting these perps.
