our local news just reported that police are looking at a new surveillance video of the abductor and child a few blocks from the school. that's all they said. still no arrest.

I missed that part Maureen, I did hear them say they re-canvassed the neighborhood again with the FBI today! I just checked channel 6 for a link to what I heard and can't find it yet, maybe after 6 they will put it up..

I so hope Maureen heard correctly and there is more video evidence. If true, we may have even more to map as to direction of travel after rounding the corner from school.

Jeez, if it's this hard for them to catch the perp with a live victim and video......man my eyes are tearing up typing this........this little girl may have never been found if someone hadn't released her

I was glad to read FBI is working with the police. Kidnapping and all. Chelsea R-J might be involved as it is totally silent on her disappearance. It wasn't reported in the news until Thursday of last week. She went missing on Monday too as this little one. Same street too from what I've read.

Besides the known RSO's, I wish they'd ask the people in that area to open their doors for a search or DNA swabs if they have DNA. It's been done before sort of. Not all will do it, so you sift from those. Jessica Ridgeway's murder. They got DNA swabs. In Isabel Celis' case they handed out tons of questionaires to all living in a 3 mile radius. Of course, that investigation cost Tucson $1 million dollars within about one month after her disappearance with 120 people they still wanted to interview last we heard on that subject in May 2012.

I also pray the little girl is okay. I'm worried about her with being back in the hospital news. Still do. No update that I've found. What a smart and strong little girl. May she be as helpful & strong as she has been already. I hope she will be okay soon.

I really hate when this crap happens to a small child. Literally hate it. I also dislike hearing or reading the word hate. That's where the word takes on disgust, angry & po'd etc..

Source: Kidnapped girl's mom takes lie detector test

WEST PHILADELPHIA - January 23, 2013 (WPVI) -- Police sources tell Action News that the mom of a 5-year-old girl, who was kidnapped from a West Philadelphia school last week, has taken a lie detector test.


Those sources said she was also re-interviewed by police on Tuesday. Investigators are still awaiting the results of that lie detector test.

It was just reported on our local news, they mentioned the $10,000 increase in reward money and that the mother was re-interviewed and took a lie detector test. LE is awaiting the results of the tests. Yesterday I saw a blurb on the news about police reviewing a new video of the girl and her abductor, there's been no more mention of that video that I can find. Lie detectors and lawyers, hmmm
