Hope this works. I found it confusing, too.

Look at the second to last paragraph.

Thank you! Okay, here's the last paragraph:

bbm

The girl was found less than 24 hours after her abduction abandoned, half-dressed at a playground in Upper Darby near 69th Street and Marshall Road. She was not seriously physically harmed, police said.

I wonder if this is a remnant from earlier articles, before she was more carefully examined? It just doesn't fly with the other terminology we've seen. I also would like to see an LE quote, kwim? Not a journalist's report... Hope this makes sense. It would be great if true, however.

Hmmm.

I'm hoping that by LE releasing this information, someone will come forward with some a substantial tip!

:please:

All it would take is just one person to spill the beans. Just one. Then hopefully charges can be brought...

Wow, I'm shocked that police believe she was held at the 1500 Larchwood block. That is on the edges of University City, a completely different neighborhood of West Philadelphia, where U of Sciences, UPenn, and Drexel are located. The likelihood of the male being white has just increased with that new information, IMO.

The article you posted completely contradicts the one I did, which states that the officers were able to narrow down the route and confirm that the child was taken WEST of the school.

Someone is reporting sloppily.

EDIT: I don't think the 1500 Larchwood info is correct. Capt. John Darby says in this article she took them to the 6200 Larchwood block, which makes much more sense. http://www.myfoxphilly.com/story/20754628/police-seek-person-of-interest-in-5yr-o

I just did a google search and the other news sites are saying 6200 Larchwood also.
Thanks for picking up that area seemed wrong!

Went back and changed my original post.

The new person of interest in the case, according to investigators, may go by the name "China" or "Chyna" and is described as black, between 14 and 17 years old, thin, and has a light complexion and long, straight black hair. She was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and tights.

Seeing she was last seen wearing "tights" brings me back to missing Chelsea again:

snipped

"Ramsey-Jones as "5’6” and was wearing a brown jacket with a fur collar, a red shirt, a black skirt and black tights."

Just coincidence I guess.

I've been looking at property owners around the 6200 block of Larchwood here:
http://opa.phila.gov/opa.apps/Search/SearchForm.aspx

One address looks like a storage facility or something that looks like you could cut thru from Larchwood to Hazel Ave. I am wondering what it is. Address is 6125-6135 Hazel Ave, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19143.

Wow. I googled it. Zillow says it is a single family home... Sure doesn't look like one, does it?

This is a 13500 square foot, single family home. It is located at 6125-6135 HAZEL AVE PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania.

Here it is looking at it from the other direction - and showing how it seems you can cut thru. If you go to google street view you will see what I mean. The yellow route is from the school It cannot be a single family house. I saw that too.

I agree - I saw the street view which is why I didn't think it looked like a SFH either. However, I think it is zoned residential, hence the category of SFH. If you check here, you can see the owner. Interesting. I don't want to post it publicly - but it's at the link.

If that photo of Chelsea was recent, then she doesn't fit the description since she doesn't have long straight black hair.

If you go here: http://opa.phila.gov/opa.apps/Search/SearchForm.aspx

Type in 6100 Larchwood and you will see all of the owners between 6125 - 6135. There are multiple.

Police say a man met up with the woman and victim a few blocks away. Police say the two took the girl to a nearby home, forced her to undress, blindfolded her and eventually dropped her off in an Upper Darby park.

The above quote is stating that the man was not initially inside the home but somewhere on the street and that he accompanied the woman to a nearby home. Also, it states that both perps dropped her off at the park. This can't be right, can it???

I am searching for a link I *thought* I saw in a post. If my brain is operating correctly it said the FBI and US Marshals were involved. Did anyone else see this or was I on another planet? :ufo:

The latest Philly.com article says, "[the victim] was not seriously physically harmed, police said." Not sure how to quote.

I keep going back to revenge. The mom moved very recently. And for many residents of West Philly, South Philly might as well be on the other side of the country. Was the move for protection?

That's confusing. The wording previously used gave the impression that she had been harmed... "brutally attacked". I looked up an article on philly.com but the one I pulled up doesn't mentioned anything about her not being harmed.

If you select the text, copy it, then just come here and paste it.

Look at the second to last paragraph.

Thank you starry77! We had found all of the language and the refusal to use the victim's name to be very telling as compared to cases we have dealt with in the past. When a victim is suddenly unnamed by LE and press after having been named it suggests certain harms that are more serious or of a private nature.

huh, after reading that sentence

She was not seriously physically harmed, police said.

I am more confused than ever. Then what was the return trip to hospital for and all the language used by LE and other officials about life never being returned to normal, about the heinous nature of the crime, about forever scarred, etc etc.

Thank you for that link, although it only adds to the confusion around this case rather than reduces it for me.

If the search area is so narrow could a dog be able to tell if N was at a location?

bad wording by reporter in a rush to wrap up their story and post it before deadline :cow:

Does anyone else feel much like a dog chasing its own tail with this case??
