This article states that family members "said police were called to her apartment about 3:30 a.m. July 29 for a noise complaint from a neighbor involving the missing woman's dog".

The same evening, when parents appeared on Jane Velez-Mitchell Show:

In a very strange twist, police were called to her duplex not once but twice right around the time she disappeared. The first call from a neighbor complaining about Kortne somehow arguing or talking with a neighbor loudly.

No keys, no phone, no purse.

I don't think she wandered off unless she experienced some kind of psychotic break.

I'd still like to see the entire building searched with dogs.

They did have dogs there ... I can't find the link right now but I referenced it in an earlier post on here.

So was that first call perhaps from a neighbor hearing her and another neighbor arguing about one of the dogs? Am I understanding correctly? Are both accounts, The Daily News and JVM, correct but from slightly different angles?

I *knew* I'd read that. But that's JVM's version.

I also read that the neighbor who was involved in the confrontation is the person who called LE both times.

I guess we won't know until they release the 911 call.

Stouffer's parents say police investigated two disturbance calls just the night Stouffer went missing. They [Stouffer's parents] say a friend stayed at the apartment after Stouffer and others returned from a night of dancing in Harrisburg.

The friend (Guest) stayed over, but IMO the "others" may have returned to her apartment to party with them.

Ok .. brain is working overtime but .. I find this a tad odd ... especially her choice of words ...

-snipped- Leaton said she could be blunt, but “a lot of fun.”

“She always had a ton of friends,” she said. “I always loved her to death.” -snipped-

OK .. so why didn't this girl say Kortne had an altercation with a female at the Hardware Bar in this (previous) article??? Just wondering .. does she know more??

I thought they searched her apartment with dogs.

I'm sure they didn't stop at her apt .. unless the neighbors didn't allow a search without a warrant .. again .. no details ..

At least 2 scuffles in one evening… It does make you wonder if she put her dogs in the guest bedroom with the passed-out sleep-over guy (with AC chugging away noisily), grabbed a different pair of shoes (runners?), a bottle of booze and some pills and took off on a long walk to clear her head… There is an awful lot of wilderness close by and she is an athletic girl -- capable of covering a fair bit of distance before sunrise.

I'm searching for the dog search article, but in the meantime, I reconfirmed that this article clearly states that BOTH DOGS were in the apartment.
http://www.ldnews.com/ci_21283133/k...gation-entering-third-week?source=most_viewed

"On another note, Scott clarified an earlier report that a dog was missing from Stouffer's apartment. He said there were two dogs in the apartment at the time of Stouffer's disappearance - one Stouffer's and one her boyfriend's. The boyfriend's father picked up his dog, and Stouffer's family has her dog."

Probably why the neighbor was irritated.

Respectfully BBM.

I'm sure the female who had an altercation w/Kortne as well as this particular friend of Kortne's who saw her that evening have been interviewed by LE.

IMO, this particular friend of Kortne's may have been asked by LE not to leak/divulge details until now.

There were complaints on Kortne's mom's facebook page about the article Chelesa Hoffman wrote and now Chelsea is challenging them on there to tell more about Kortne and to release more facts...FYI

agreed .. but she was referring to Kortne in the past tense only 4 days after she was reported missing

Unfortunately, Chelsea is a crime muck writer and is not allowed on WS forum because she is not considered MSM, but rather is a blogger.

Parents have LE, district attorney, a prominent defense attorney, a private investigator, the community, etc. supporting, assisting and/or recommending how to proceed.

IMO, don't think parents would be much influenced by CH. I don't believe when and if and how much they release will be dictated nor influenced by her (no matter how much she would like to believe otherwise).

Google Chelsea Hoffman and Kortne Stouffer and it should come up. She is kind of a blogger/writer about crime for examiner.com or [link removed], not an MSM so we don't usually post her things, they are very controversial.

Have been lurking, but thought I'd comment. On here we try to follow cases by searching for MSM/news articles on cases. But honestly there always seems to be discrepancies in what they report. It really bugs me. Sorry rant over.

With this case there has been reports that it was just her and the "guest" that went home, then we have the above. Also that the neighbour phoned both times, and other reports that they didnt!

I am thinking that maybe a few of them did go back to her place and this sent the neighbour off, as I can remember getting home with groups of people after a big night, and even if you try, you are not quiet!!! So neighbour yells at them, she and maybe a couple of the others abuse him back, another neighbour calls the police because of this confrontation.

Now from here anything could happen, but "guest" should start speaking up. This confrontation may have been why the others left and maybe "guest" had already zonked it on a lounge or something and she has gone of with the others, or something happened with one of the others.

I think it is important to clarify if others went home as has been reported, as this is significant, and also who made the 2nd call!!

I'll bet her guest has been speaking to family and police...but we would not be hearing about it. His name is "out there" as being the person who spent the night.

I wonder if the two dogs were making noise even before the people got home that night and then that was kind of the last straw? Or if they were used to being in the apartment alone together. The complaint/argument could have been a build-up kind of thing, if they kept partying hours all the time. But I tell you, all of this fussing and scrapping kinda goes against her so-called "flower child" persona.
