Yes, I would have expected searches, press conferences, etc. It just seems weird that LE has not said much at all. I agree that they are either 1) building a case against a known suspect 2) are incompetent and maybe didn't do enough themselves with the two visits that night.

I don't buy her running away at all. Just my opinion.

I am also leaning towards police just driving by that second time and not hearing anything.. And then they moved on... We have found info that they knocked on the door that second time and all was quiet, but the family said that and not the actual officer. Both the neighbor and CP have inconsistencies it seems or odd behaviors.

If she had taken the dog out...why was the dog in the apartment when her parents came looking for her? Who brought the dog back? And why would her shoes be there? Are slippers or flip-flops missing? I wonder if a young person would even go to walk the dog without their phone, no matter what time it was.

My seed of a theory was that KS was taking the dog(s) into the backyard and one decided to go explore and she went after it. I don't take my keys and cell phone into the backyard.

But you're right. One dog was in the house on Monday, so that messes up my theory.

So if the dog was in the apartment alone from Sunday to Monday, why wasn't there a neighborly noise complain about a barking dog? If the guest left at 7:30 AM and WS didn't come over till Monday morning, the dog was alone for at least 24 hours. Wasn't the dog pawing at the door to get out or anything?

ETA: When did teh BF's dad pick up his dog? According to the info we have right now, it had to have been after Monday morning, which would mean there were two dogs alone in the apartment for 24 hours - and no noise complaint.

just by looking (finally) at FB pages....I am a little freaked out. These peeps she was out with are from the racetrack-OMG not good. Not saying everyone associated w/racing is bad but from my own experience "not a good place to be" . Now I am scared for her. I hope LE is checking out the backside of the track.

True! It does seem like the dog would have been barking or pawing expecting someone to be at home to let it out.... And nothing from the neighbor after that... I just still have a bad feeling about the neighbor and I have no clue who the neighbor is-a male, a couple etc? But CP is suspicious as well unless he really just fell into a heavy passed out sleep. Hmmm.

M & C were definitely out together that night along with another guy that was pictured dancing with K. Also, C made an fb post that sunday afternoon at 1:35 in Palmdale (which is around the area K lives between palmyra and hershey). There's not much around there except a Duke's bar and grill which he may have been posting from. But he also tagged a couple of those same guys he was with that night.

So, he obviously didn't have to work Sunday. So...why awake so early leaving K's house?

It seems that he works with horses so perhaps he wanted to stop by the barn to check on some of his charges that morning? Horse people seem to be able to party hard and still manage to get up before dawn to get to work.

At least with Karl Rominger & his lawyers on board they’ll hopefully be able to collect video from the businesses and bars in Harrisburg to see if there was a scuffle captured on tape and see who was involved.

But locals would know more about C and M and that racetrack group... And they would know more about that downstairs neighbor. It's hard to say with such little info but they both look suspicious.

Well im from the Atlantic City area and we had a big race track there,
most of the employess were college kids home for the summer the race track handles alot of money and i think all employees are run thru LE.... the racetrack is big business and even if the ppl that go there are sleezy i dont think the employees are!

Why was it reported her dog was missing?
Then it wasnt!

I don't know... Journalism without facts I guess. We did finally get it confirmed that no dogs are missing, but it took several articles to get that straight. The parents finally cleared that up.

don't be so sure of that, the employees (the ones at the ticket counters and people you actually SEE are one thing) the ones that don't actually work for the tract (work at the track, horse shoer's, trainers, grooms don't go thru the same background checks as the ones who actually work for the track.
There are some very slick people, there are ALOT of drugs and bad bad stuff that goes on. At any track. The peeps stick close together because if one falls it leads to another one. FWIW MOO

And the next door neighbor in 808, TS, heard nothing, absolutely nothing.

Does our CP work for the State of PA? If so, and questionable activities were taking place, it is understandable why something could be left out of his story...

good thinking
I still want to know about those scratches on the neighbor? Why didn't they do some DNA testing on them?

Is there a MSM article about the neighbor having scratches? I must have missed it. If this is a rumor, then it's a rumor and not necessarily fact. JMO.

I didn't see that either. I've been hunting and hunting. In fact, there's literally no articles or mentions since Saturday.

ORRRRR
This friend that stayed the night wakes to find she is gone her keys are there he locks up and leave the keys in her car for her to find them.... he finds another way home!
When the parents showed up, the front door was unlocked, leading me to believe when the friend left, he did NOT lock the door.

Could "banging and stomping" have been removal of hidden items of value from behind or under building fixtures and subsequent setting of the fixtures back into place?

New today:
http://www.abc27.com/story/19263796/palmyras-womans-disappearance-investigated-as-kidnapping

Snipped from the article:
"According to the first page of a search warrant issued in the case last week, "kidnapping" and "unlawful restraint" are the violations under which investigators looked through Kortne Stouffer's apartment and car.

The remainder of the search warrant has been sealed."

I wonder what makes them think kidnapping??

anyone else wonder the police are quoted
Police had initially reported that the last person to see Stouffer was a neighbor, but her parents said she and a male friend came back to the apartment shortly after 3 a.m.

why aren't the police saying that they were there twice?
Neighbors called police twice that morning, according to Stouffer's parents. The first complaint was over Stouffer's dog. Police spoke with Stouffer and left, but returned later for a complaint of "banging and stomping." During the second visit, Stouffer's parents said the officers left after no one answered the door.

The article also says that (according to Kortne’s parents) it was the neighbors who called the police twice that morning — first call was because of the dog and the second because of banging and stomping.

ETA: Stouffer’s parents also say they know the male friend who slept over and are on good terms with him.
