anyone else wonder the police are quoted
Police had initially reported that the last person to see Stouffer was a neighbor, but her parents said she and a male friend came back to the apartment shortly after 3 a.m.

why aren't the police saying that they were there twice?
Neighbors called police twice that morning, according to Stouffer's parents. The first complaint was over Stouffer's dog. Police spoke with Stouffer and left, but returned later for a complaint of "banging and stomping." During the second visit, Stouffer's parents said the officers left after no one answered the door.

I don't think they got out of the car the second time. IMO, JMO, MOO, etc. If all was quiet, they might not have gotten out.

I've read some other places that the downstairs neighbor reported "a thud", not banging and stomping. Did we hear the words "banging and stomping" before the JVM appearance?

New today:
http://www.abc27.com/story/19263796/palmyras-womans-disappearance-investigated-as-kidnapping

Snipped from the article:
"According to the first page of a search warrant issued in the case last week, "kidnapping" and "unlawful restraint" are the violations under which investigators looked through Kortne Stouffer's apartment and car.

The remainder of the search warrant has been sealed."

I wonder what makes them think kidnapping??

I wonder when that search warrant was executed.

I used to live in a duplex (half a house) on the second and third floor. It was in the Harrisburg region. As the half I lived in was divided in to two apartments the front door, as it appears from the main street, did not actually lead directly into either the upstairs apartment or the first floor apartment. The "front" door actually lead into a interior hall that had another locked door which opened to a stairwcase to my apartment. The hall also contained a second locked "backdoor" to the downstairs neighbors apartment.

If someone knocked on the "front door" my dog nor I would have never known. The first floor apartment may not have heard a knock either as it was not directly into their apartment. The doorbell was the only way to alert me if someone was on the porch. The first floor apartment had their front door on the side of the house.

I have lived in various places in the country and have never seen this style of duplex (half a house) anywhere but here. Then some as described are divided into apartments to boot,
resulting in kinda odd layouts.

Did anyone go through all of CP's FB photos?

Is there a MSM article about the neighbor having scratches? I must have missed it. If this is a rumor, then it's a rumor and not necessarily fact. JMO.

I don't think it was reported in MSM. A poster apparently with some inside knowledge of the case had stated the scratches had been reported to him. The poster made it clear he/she had no idea if this was accurate or not. I will say the other information provided by this poster has turned out accurate. I remember him/her talking about the fact someone else was at Kortne's that evening before it was knowledge of the "friend" staying over was released. As to the scratches, I think everyone, including the original poster, was just wishing for confirmation one way or another if this was true.

I'm thinking if LE had been there for 30 minutes on the first call, they probably knew which doors to knock on. They found the people the first time around.

I'm inclined to think it was a drive by.

I know the kind of house you're talking about. Heavy doors, plaster walls, etc. Sturdy construction. That's probably why the guy on the other side of the duplex heard nothing.

This house does look like that, except for the first floor side entrance for the second floor apartment.

You know...if you look at the front porch and the darkness of the street at night, someone could have been there as well. IDK...I'm chasing vapor.

jurys out, I went thru most of them most recently added were his cover and a couple others. I didn't see anything strange, except for a comment left by a friend 'we know you would hurt anyone"

I recall some comments follownig an article saying something about how KS and her boyfriend may have been selling drugs and that is why the floor boards in her apartment had been pulled up... Does anyone else recall reading that?

I'm thinking possibly the banging heard by the neighbor was actually her or her guest retreiving whatever may be hidden under the floor boards, then the 2 of them taking off. Her either willingly or not..

This is only just a thought and I'm only recalling what I read, therefore it may be rumor. I'm just brainstorming, that's all. Not trying to offend.

I read it too, it was someone's comments re: one of the news articles. That is the only place I saw it.

I read it. It was on one of those weird sites that shall not be named. I don't see how KS could have been working three jobs (or why) if she was a big time drug dealer. Than again, I don't know why the BF was in jail.

I think Kortne's mother would have noticed if the floorboards were torn up.

I see some that are clearly romantic in nature, with women. So now I don't understand why people were so quick to discount any kind of sexual element to KS & CP's relationship.

I would say it's not impossible, IMO.

He's a big, strong guy. A blacksmith. Kortne weighs 115 lbs.

Maybe we're not talking about the same person. What are the initials of the sleepover guest?

I wonder when that search warrant was executed.

I *think* it was Wednesday, August 1st....but don't hold me to that. I'll have to dig back through articles to confirm.

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) - Authorities are treating the two-week-old disappearance of a Palmyra woman as a possible abduction, abc27 News has learned.

According to the first page of a search warrant issued in the case last week, "kidnapping" and "unlawful restraint" are the violations under which investigators looked through Kortne Stouffer's apartment and car.

The remainder of the search warrant has been sealed.

Lebanon County District Attorney Dave Arnold told abc27 News the case is being investigated as a kidnapping due to the "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the case. He could not comment further.

I stayed up until 4 am reading/following this case.

On the first LE visit, I believe the neighbor and KS were outside. The LE should have gotten statements from both parties. I'm thinking that is why LE was there for about 1/2 hour. No mention of the overnight guest (was he inside).

Then 1/2 hour after LE leaves, another complaint comes in for loud noises. LE arrives 20 minutes after 2nd call..all is calm??? If LE didn't knock on doors, then possible dogs would not have barked...

Overnight guest leaves around 7:30, no KS but he is seen at store texting...

Dogs are left in apartment from early Sunday morning (3:45 am last sighting) until Mom arrives Monday morning....door unlocked, keyes and cell phone there...but no KS...It seems everything was at apartment by Mom

LE says "possible kidnapping"

No press conferences, family lawyered up, boyfriend has solid alibi (I personally think he was serving his 3 day jail sentence for DUI but I don't know his name so can't look up...)

Why isn't family pleading on national tv....why no other searches....

All smells "fishy" to me.....another Holly Bobo:banghead::banghead:
