The cover letter of a sealed search warrant reveals that Kortne Stouffer's disappearance may be a kidnapping.

The language of the cover letter of the two-week-old search warrant states kidnapping, but the DA says they’re still investigating this as a suspicious disappearance, not necessarily a kidnapping.

Monday, Kortne’s dad had a meeting with the DA and shared information with the media.

Actually I didn't base it on the FB status. I based it on various comments on his pictures on FB - just an assumption and certainly could be wrong!

Just because a person has children does not mean that they are not gay. I have several friends who have children who ARE gay. Some had children early in life and were not yet "out" and others actually have adopted in a same sex relationship.


I hope he is gay. I'd hate to think that she was violated by someone she may have trusted in her own safe haven. ya know?

I didn't get a gay vibe. But maybe I'm wrong.

He does have a few children and had a fiancé for a while. If he's bi, there could be a sexual element.

Honestly, after taking the time to read his Facebook comments on his public pictures, it wasn't a stretch to think he was gay. Some of the comments were really cutesy, etc. Just not want I expected from a rough racetrack guy who has been in trouble with the law. Not meaning to generalize, but I was just surprised by the comments. So I can see why you might have thought that.

True, you most certainly can have children and still be gay. They weren't adopted, so that's out. But regardless, I would think that him having young children at his age (29) would hold a little more weight than a few facebook comments.

If only you saw some of the pictures I'm tagged in or the convos I have on facebook, you would think I'm a raging homosexual!! However, I am not the slightest. I just like to be funny

I don't know how Facebook handles missing persons accounts. And if KS's brother figured out her phone access password, maybe he figured out her Facebook password too.

This has happened before, missing people having Facebook activity. Sometimes it's the family. That's about all I know about it.

If he's gay, what reason was there that KS stopped hanging out with him when she met her bf?? And for him to only come around when the bf wasn't there. I know the bf met him once a month ago (I'm sure some type of party) but you would think that KS and CP would've had more contact.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Quite frankly, I don't think it's a factor in this case. If she was kidnapped, it doesn't matter if he had sexual motivation or not. He's obviously not the one holding her. He could very well be in on it though. Those racetrack guys are a different breed. Also, he grew up in upstate New York. She could also be there if he was in on a kidnapping. Could that be why someone (family? News?) mentioned before that they don't think she is around here and the searches conducted in the immediate aread were more or less to rule out her being nearby?

There's got to be a reason no other searches have been conducted since it came out about "new leads" that we have yet to hear about.

Hi, CLuciano63. I think that information has been sourced elsewhere too. And this would explain the family's recently announced conviction that she is alive.

That said, affirming friend requests seems like an odd pastime for either a runaway or kidnapper.

Did she have that many pending friend requests? Possible. But you would think with a pretty girl like that, the friend requests she made wouldn't be pending for a very long time. Certainly not over a week-two weeks.

I don't know what kind of phone KS has, but if she has the Facebook app & someone has access to her phone, the app's always signed in. If someone unlocked my phone, they could read my mail, access Facebook, twitter, linked in, websleuths, buy stuff on eBay.
