I see Banfield is still saying Pappa Rodger was the first to talk about the knife sheath when in fact @Tealgrove was the first to mention it 2 weeks before PR did.

PR likely saw it here or elsewhere copied from here and trotted it out as their own idea. It happens. Early days of the Quinton Simon thread, another member privately messaged me that someone was copy pasting my thread contributions as their own insights on Facebook. Some people just have no problem stealing so long as it gets them attention. And this PR obviously liked the attention.I see Banfield is still saying Pappa Rodger was the first to talk about the knife sheath when in fact @Tealgrove was the first to mention it 2 weeks before PR did.![]()
That's true Maddie's room had her big M and pink cowboy boots in the window, but if he was focused (following on socials) Kaylee, he would have known she was home that weekend to show off her new Range Rover and that might be the last weekend she would spending there. My understanding is Maddie's room and window were easily viewed from outside/the street. She had things in her window indicating her name. If he was stalking for awhile, he would know that Kaylee had moved out.
Exactly, I started referring to him as the 'Murderer' after his Plea. His name will get no mention from me.IDOC inmate #163214 is how I shall henceforth refer to the felon. He doesn't even deserve his initials at this point. JMO
Personally, I think it likely that forensic psychiatrists and behavioral criminalogists who will eventually study him will be more likely to accurately identify the motive.
I suspect that BK did a lot of secret things (openly staring at others to the point of discomfort of the subject of his staring, remarking in a hostile or inconsiderate way to make others uncomfortable, mind games, burglary, stalking) that rewarded him with a personal sense of superiority, domination, and control. And that it was likely a drive to gain those rewards that compelled him to plan for and to brutally murder those four innocent young adults.
I have always been extremely interested in hearing about the family dynamics with the Murderer. I feel empathy for the family, but I don't know that they would ever be 100% honest about how he really was growing up. That's not a slam, I just don't think they'll be willing to say anything that casts him in a bad light.I was thinking last night, I would be much more interested in reading a book from his family or hearing from them. Signs that were missed. Not that they could have changed anything, I just think it would be interesting to know what he was like at home and growing up. My heart really aches for them.
Turns out it was a red herring. There's a document where Chief Fry and others describe scouring all kinds of litter and debris around the house and nearby. Document concludes it was an old bag which had been there a long time. ( No mention of Reese PB cup wrappers - Bayliss found those under the trees outside his home. TBH I guess he was being super careful at this point)I do not have the document in front of me, but I am curious about the discarded black backpack that was apparently found in the backyard at 1122 King Rd. Nothing tying that to BK? Seems that could have been a great place to store his kill kit. Did he have to leave too quickly to completely cahnge out of his clothes and retrieve it? We do know from one of the released docs that he apparently searched for how to get blood out of a car, if I am not mistaken. JMO
In a lot of jails/prisons the inmate doesn't receive the original mail/letter. It is opened, checked for contraband and a copy is made. People were sneaking drugs in via mail and cards to inmates so that policy has changed in most places in recent years.I was wondering if someone could have mailed it to him? Like maybe his mom?
Or he could have done it with his fingernail? But then, how did he have it in jail?
moo.
I have a relative that is a prison corrections officer, I'm not speaking from my own experience.

Probably something from his Mother I would guess to focus on while hearing the Victim Impact Statements and being ripped to shreds.![]()
Idaho murders trial live updates: Bryan Kohberger faces victims' families in sentencing hearing
Follow the Idaho student murders sentencing hearing for Bryan Kohberger, who is expected to be sentenced to four life sentences after he admitted to the 2022 killings.www.nbcnews.com
Throughout Kohberger’s sentencing hearing, a note with a heart on it could be seen on camera sitting next to him on the defense table.
It isn’t clear what the note was. Something was handwritten on the back. Toward the end of the hearing, one of his attorneys picked it up and appeared to ask Kohberger about it.
When Kohberger said something, she smiled and took the note with her.

Wow, thanks @Cindizzi for picking up on the fact that his Dad was there. I had heard and read that it was only his Mom and one sister.I’m still catching up on everything from the Sentencing Hearing yesterday so don’t know if this has been posted from 14 hours ago.
Nothing earth shattering but I did not think that BK’s Father was in attendance, only his Mother and sister.
This gentleman describes what it felt like being there and says he was seated right behind the family and both parents were there.
Just something new I’d not heard.
Yes, the vid @Cindizzi attached just above from a guy who was in the Courtroom said the Murderer's Mom, Dad and Sister were there seated right behind him. He told him Mother "I love you" as he came in and told his sister "I'll see you later" as he exited.Do you think he was aware that his mother and sister were in the courtroom - he did not seem to look around once to see if he had any supporters...

One would think that if the knife handle was used, the ME would certainly be able to match the wounds and declare it as so. And it sounded like it would have to have been in its sheath during that part of the blitz attack in order to have not cut up the killer-I think the sheath would have to show signs of the attack. Maybe it will be in further documents. The handle stripes sound right, but it seems like that was an easy answer to give then.If they mean round as in circular like a pipe, round with stripes would be the knife handle as one possibility. Not the norm, but totally possible in various ways.
I'm sure AT told him.
His family came protected by Police.
I saw a picture of them with AT.

Bryan Kohberger's lookalike sister dons red dress to watch sentencing
Amanda Kohberger traveled to Boise, Idaho, to watch Bryan get sentenced for the murders of four young students.www.dailymail.co.uk
SG told Ashleigh Banfield that the other objection was round with stripes, as it left those marks on Kaylee’s face. He bashed her teeth out. This is what was told to them on Monday.
She’ll have this on her podcast tomorrow per Brian Entin.
I guess they are also going through their own terrible process of trauma and grief. Probably for the reminder of their lives. As with all those whose lives have been changed forever by his actions I hope they are surrounded by the support of trusted others who can help themI have always been extremely interested in hearing about the family dynamics with the Murderer.
