Reporter Kate Meade says the ABC understands there was a raid in in Chandler Court, Porepunkah last night.
"What we know so far is...that there was about 10 police officers that went to a home in Chandler Court, that the canine unit was involved and that a number of people were taken away," she tells ABC Radio Melbourne.
"We do know that there was a PA [system] used, locals are telling us that, and that they could hear, 'come to the front door', 'arms in the air' and to have nothing in their hands.

"So that's what we know has happened overnight and that the police this morning are reminding us again that there have been no confirmed sightings of Dezi Freeman and reminding us that he is a man that is believed to be heavily armed."
