Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 1/15 thru 1/20 Break

In reply to Val1. I copied the case number and a facebook support page for Juan comes up with possibilities. Dated in Oct. 2014 in regards to the case. Sounds like it might be a DV case...hth

DV? I would think it could be anything, simply because she is still undergoing the penalty phase in this trial and sealing it probably helps prevent any possibility that it could prejudice her case should it become public. That said, would it show up there if it she was the defendant, or does it matter who filed it and it will show up for both parties(if we knew who the other party was)?

Jodi said the last three journals covered the time for August 2007 when she moved to Mesa until a few days before she was arrested. She pointed them out to Flores, and where he could find them.

I know she list July 27th as being in Palm Desert at the house, and the next is August 2 and she over at the Freeman's watching movies. In there somewhere she says she going to live in Mesa. But she seems to cram things in between dates, so it's confusing at times.

She would have had no way to go after Flores at the time she was planning to flee, she was basically "in custody" at the time he was grilling her. But, I do know of a case wherein a female was in custody and a gun actually went off in holding cell. She had snuck it in via her va-ja-ja... true story! I'll see if I can find a link for it and will post if I find it.

If you can believe even one lie from her mouth, I think she said she started to journal around the age of seven when she was with her mom at a store and begged for a blue (I think) booklet. Yet, where have all those entries disappeared to? What kid at seven even knows what a journal is? Weren't they called a diary back then? She is/was/ and always will be a liar. She started keeping a journal when she met Travis and that is probably why most of her ramblings make no sense.. she didn't know what, or how to log an entry. She was simply put, a wannabe that didn't fit in with his social setting, or his caliber of friends. She was used to drug heads, drunks, and living in squalor.

OMG, I just lost my drink through my nose from laughing so hard... that hurts almost as bad as a brain freeze. This chick had a little .25 caliber, CMJA had a .9 mil. Yes, from what we were shown... no problem concealing it there. LMAO

I tried to keep a diary way back when I was about ten or eleven years old--someone gave me a diary (with a useless key and lock) for a Christmas gift--but I gave up writing in it by about the second or third week of January simply because my life was so dull. Still today there's not much about my daily life to confess or gush about . . . (for which I'm rather thankful--I really dislike roller-coasters).

ITA; and I speculate that it's the Alexanders' wrongful death suit which, based on her guilt, is a lock for them.

In my jurisdiction (NC) that's often the reason why defendants who might otherwise, don't face the DP. There have been several murders that could have qualified the defendant for capital punishment, but with kids involved the state declines to pursue the DP along with the approval of the victim's family. So for instance, Devault in NC would have never been up for the DP and would have received automatic LWOP upon conviction.

In mine (OK) we hand out 20 year sentences to young mothers In their early 20s for selling $10 worth of marijuana. We'd easily stick a needle in the wrong vein for the likes of devault and arias.

Yes, I think most young girls had a "secret" diary in their pre teens. But, my brother always stole mine, so my secrets were null and void. He recently found a pic of me when I was 12, and I had written on the back of it... "to my rat fink brother that I hate... from your angel of a sister" LOL.

I got a shiny red glittery one with a key too, for Christmas, when I was about 11. My mom kept it for years then showed it to us one Christmas. ALL IT SAID, on every single page, in huge capital letters was :

Jodi told a story of being a book store with Sandy, and she saw a journal and that was when she wanted to put pen to paper every stinking thing in her mind. She said she was eight years old.

I thought LaViolette said that Jodi had since she was fourteen, and that she had read several of them. If there is was much family violence when Jodi grew up, why wouldn't she put those hurts in there, and about the art teacher, Mr. Rangel (if i were an acquittance, friend, loved one, I'd; be holding my breath wondering if Jodi would name one of my flaws and out right sins to the whole world in one of her crazy off the wall stories.) that gave her the praise she so badly needed, the car she worked so hard to buy, her leaving home and moving in with Bobby.
