We do not even know if this third witness, most likely the FB guy from NZ, was ever deposed by Martinez. I suspect not. If the defense even talked to him, they would have found out straight off the bat he was a fraud.

If Martinez did not depose him, then under the rules of evidence, he would not be able to testify.

There is Matt M that Jodi spent time with on her trip. She told Flores that she was taking a lot of books to him. So far Nurmi hasn't put him on the stand. I also thought it could be that Jodi lifted him quickly and it snapped his head forward and the camera caught it at just the right moment. I honestly don't think 1 minute is too little time for all the things that happened before the throat cutting to have happened. These things happen quickly and once that throat is cut, Travis is out within seconds. I also don't think it's not enough time for all those wounds to have happened in such a frenzy. I can see it happening very quickly actually and I don't think this attack took very long.

I totally agree about how fast it could have happened. That doesnt surprise me at all. With Travis trying to quickly escape and Jodi being a crazy woman stabbing at him, it would be very fast.

During the first phase we had very dedicated volunteers using their husbands as simulated victims and we got some very interesting information from their hard work.

I dont recall if anyone did an actual time trial though. It does not surprise me the speed that things would happen.

This topic makes me queasy. Maybe some distinctions could be made? Intersex has to do with body parts that come with an individual at birth. Orientation and gender identity likewise reflect "hard wiring". Then there is sexual expression. This refers to "how one gets one's jollies." It can be cultural, choice, habit, creative. Dr. F's specialty is evidently in the sexual expression category, since unconventional sex is about "how I want to use my body parts to get pleasure." So, I think some care is needed to distinguish sexual expression from a person's innate makeup.

What I think is more questionable is how Dr. F leaps from being a "sexual expression" specialist to being a relationship expert. Sexual expression is not at all the same as relationship dynamic! So much depends on culture and how one engages in the world with one partner, several, a whole houseful! And you could easily have group sex with the most uncreative of methods........ What about gang-banging vs. predatory behavior in a religious sect, S&M vs. woman on top, prostitution vs. keeping a geisha , open marriages vs plural marriages.... Is unprotected sex a form of sexual expression , a relationship dynamic, a habit, a death wish, stupidity, or the sign of a long-term relationship? There are so many forms of "getting one's jollies" that have nothing at all to do with how people relate to one another. So, why is Dr. F allowed to muddy the waters between relationships and sexual expression? Why is she at all qualified to be testifying on relationships in the first place? Do you think this might come up in some incisive testimony from Heroine DeMarte?

And the 27 stab wounds is not actually a lot given that most of them are the very shallow ones grouped on the back, the slashes to the head area and defensive wounds to the hands and feet. Just looking at those, this was a frenzy, fast and furious. She wasn't pulling back with every stab. It was quick.

I know I just can't stand what these liars are doing to TAs memory and his family.

The NZ guy will tell the jury TA said that in 2000 and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt having missionaries in my family that this never happened.

considering we know that Deanna and Travis went to the Bishop to confess their sexual contact it doesn't make sense that TA would leave a meeting with the Bishop, walk outside, and confess pedo to someone he wasn't close with.

I do wonder if they wanted Bishop Parker to verify that they were together that night, making it possible that it happened. Why not take the Church down too...another thing that TA loved.

While it may not have taken but a short time to complete it was long enough for Travis to recognize she was killing him and he knew he was going to die. The pain and suffering he felt had to be excruciating. I can just slightly slice my finger accidently in the kitchen on a knife and it hurts very badly. I cant begin to comprehend the pain he must have felt with being stabbed 29 times.

I think she did a few of the stabs while in the shower (one was thrust into his chest very deep) then when he made it to the sink she stabbed him some more and somehow the poor man was still trying to crawl down his hallway leading from the bathroom and during that time is when she slit his throat from ear to ear then dragging him back to the bathroom where she shot him in the head. When she stabbed him in his head she did it so hard that it actually chipped his skull.

It would have been over in less than a minute if he had been stationary when all of it happened and if it all happened when he was cornered in the shower but he wasn't. I think all of it took 2-3 minutes and that had to seem like many many minutes to Travis who knew he was in the middle of being murdered.
