JMO - the good ole defense witness sunk herself. Many of the jurors questions could be taken either way. I believe some of the questions may have been from the beginning of the testimony and it was probably cleared up before Juan got to cross Dr. F. Dr. F was annoying, aggressive and downright belligerent. This will NOT go unnoticed. Very kind to the defense and lost all objectivity with the prosecution. Even if a few of the jurors took her word as gospel, there are others to clearly show them the right path during deliberations. Dr. F is a hired gun with an obvious agenda. Again, this will not go unnoticed. I, for one, am happy Juan allowed her to show her true colors, a paid hack with an agenda! For a juror to think that the good "doc" didn't know what that email and/or JA didn't provide her an answer, is ludicrous. If the doc didn't ask JA what it was about, then she looks even more foolish. I remember when we were all concerned about every single question from the previous jury, yet we really had nothing to worry about. They "got it." (except that one I will not comment on) Furthermore, the question from the juror about the pedophile claim was brilliant. This juror knows for a fact that NO woman would be with a guy who they walked in on masturbating to a young boy. Their sex life would be OVER! You don't go back to a "normal" relationship with that kind of person, let along move to be near them. Also, it was brilliant that Juan asked why Travis would be looking at a young boy, yet would be talking about a 12 year old girl on the phone conversation. Especially, since JA would have already been aware of the "boy" photo. The jury, in their questions, were quite clear they knew that Travis had "normal" relationships with other women and NOT ONE OF THEM had a bad thing to say about him. Period. Even Deanna, who was in the longest relationship, remained friends with Travis and thought JA was cray-cray. The jury also knew the Hughes email was a spur of the moment, out of character type email. They clearly stated an email would have been different to Travis if it had been closer to his death.
I may have lost my faith in JS, but I haven't lost faith in Juan and I certainly haven't lost faith in the jury. I believe, at the end of the day, they saw things exactly as we saw it today, just a SHAM of a hired "expert." All I have to say is NEXT!! Bring it. Juan Martinez hasn't even begun with this jury. His witnesses will be professional, mature, will not show an agenda to either side and it will be a breath of fresh air. The jury will not remember this "doc". She and her outrageous testimony will be irrelevant at the end of the day.
I may have even had some hope for JSS at the end of the day, since she started not allowing side bars and overruled all of Nurmi's objections...jury is still out on that one.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Travis's family. I do not know how they do it. Travis must be incredibly proud of the restraint and class they show each and every single day. :heartbeat:
ETA: What the hello does any of this have to do with JA driving to Arizona, pre-planning the murder and making up a million stories to cover her behind. NOTHING. There is NO justification for Travis's murder. How is any of this a mitigating factor? She really should have been remorseful and thrown herself on the mercy of the court. She is further trashing Travis Alexander and so did her expert. Gutting, snuffing out? Really? JA did those things to Travis Alexander. Why would any defense witness use those words? It will be used against them...there is no way those words will be used in favor of saving JA's life.
