I am beginning to believe that this judge is neutral after all. I tiptoed into GB's site and they absolutely think this judge is anti JA. Our side has opined that she is absolutely anti Juan. This must be a hairline row to hoe for a judge. I have decided to with hold judgement. I just think she has an impossible job that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

She's not a referee. She's a judge. It's not an impossible job. Thousands and thousands of men and women sit on the bench everyday making those very much not impossible decisions and rulings.

Be careful....those of us who are not mesmerized by Sherrys brilliance are being compared to her "fans". Dissent will not be tolerated!!

No one here has the right to compare any of us to anyone who supports Jodi Arias! When someone says that we think the judge supports the defense but the Jodi supporters think the judge supports the prosecution, we are being lumped in with those maniacs. Don't even think about it! This is quite an insult to us. I have a right to my opinion as much as any one of you do. I am happy about today's ruling but it comes after weeks of the jury being bombarded with innuendo about 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and prosecutorial misconduct and Jodi's secret testimony. All of that has to be weighed against any good that came from today and we have yet to see what the next few weeks will hold. So while I am happy for the rulings, it doesn't mean JSS grew a backbone. Just sounds like the COA and SC slapped her pretty hard, just as she did to the defense. If I am going to hand out praise it will be to the COA and SC, not to a judge that wanted to decimate the US Constitution.

Okay here we go about the breast implant leak:
She also claims her left silicone breast implant leaked and caused a fungal growth.
"This is something that comes under the correctional health, the county," Arpaio said. "They take care of our inmates. So this is something I will have to look at next week."

He claimed an interview with CBS 5 News on Saturday was the first he heard of Arias having any sort of illness.
"I've never heard any information," Arpaio said. "My people know if there is any problem, they're going to tell the sheriff because she is a high-profile inmate known to make up stories, and I have to be careful what I say because she is still in the court system."
Healthcare inside all of the Maricopa County jails is handled by a private contractor known as Correctional Health Systems. They say whenever an inmate has a medical concern, all that inmate has to do is fill out a form and give it to a detention officer, who will then escort that patient to the infirmary.
As it relates to Arias, a spokeswoman for Maricopa County said they are not aware of Arias having any medical issues.

I think JSS has always "gotten it". She knew the COA would overturn her, so she didn't lose anything by giving in to Nurmi on the secret testimony. JSS released it to us yesterday, so no loss, only a delay for us on getting Jodi's lies.

I don't think she knew any such thing.

No loss? What about this jury hearing hours of JA secret testimony lies without JM having an opportunity to challenge them unless she's foolish enough to continue testifying?

I don't think SUPER SEKRET testimony helped her that much. I know they wanted to paint her out to be a wholesome young innocent, although an abused one, that was fine until she met the horrible mean Mormon sex freak. But I don't think the testimony helped with that narrative.

Nothing that she testified to in childhood rose to a level of real child abuse. A wooden spoon? Kind of normal as far as parental discipline back in the day.

And her long list of past boyfriends painted a bizarre picture of a girl who began living with her boyfriend at 17. And then continued to routinely move in with boyfriends that she knew for only months at a time. That is not normal behavior. I don't think the jury feels all that sympathetic so far. JMO

Jodi Arias looked quite deflated at day's end the tweeters noticed. Watch her here when Dr. DeMarte testifies that she was found hiding behind Travis' Christmas tree. SHE GETS ANGRY, Jodi tells Jen to object and supplies the reason "That is not in evidence" she can be heard saying. Her look changes to that of defeat when after the objection and long sidebar....she hears "Over ruled". http://youtu.be/DPEX7gHduxE?t=56m21s

I disagree that she'd purposely rule in a way that would cause several delays. It wasn't purposeful.

Curious, I don't think anyone here is comparing you or anyone else here to JA's supporters. If they are, they're delusional. Everyone has the right to their own opinions. I can just see some of the judge's logic that others aren't seeing. I also know several lawyers including my own brother, and have friends who are prosecutors and defense attorneys. I know how these people think and I've picked their brains on occasion.

Christopher Alexander?

This is from April and clearly a fake.

The guy is a known hoaxing inmate incarcerated in Pennsylvania.

He is not TA's cousin.

I notice the dates of those motions go back to Sept. I question whether holding these motions so long has encouraged the DT to keep filing more, and of course once filed, JM has to work to respond to them. In his spare time, of course. I also remember an awful lot of disrespect directed toward the prosecutor & the lead detective allowed in the courtroom, in public hearings, filed motions - even accusations of illegal activity with little to no foundation. I remember that too many of the DT's accusations in motions are unsealed, while JM's replies often are. I remember JM practically begging for his lawful right to interview witnesses, and to make the DT follow the rules regarding notification - most of those were ignored or denied. Remember quite a bit of testimony the prosecutor wanted to present has been ruled against as being too prejudicial. I do also remember that the reason stated for unconstitutionally closing the court during a trial was not her right to testify, it was her right to present mitigation. I remember that originally JSS offered the DT various ways they could accomplish this, but she backed down when Nurmi growled. I remember too that a fair trial is supposed to be fair to all, not just the one that can file appeals, and that the State represents the people. I definitely remember there was a victim in this case, not just a defendant with revenge on her mind and a defense team that wouldn't know an ethic if it hit them between the eyes. A victim whose friends and loved ones sit there while this trial drags on and on due to mismanagement. Glad to finally see the rulings, but nothing is changed in my mind about how this judge has impacted this case. A case, btw, that should have been a slam dunk because of the savagery of the attack and all the evidence against the defendant - probably why they thought it was safe to be her first DP case. It wasn't. IMO.

Couldn't get the article to load, only the .pdf, but even Wilmott said this is a fraud, and it's the wrong jail address for Jodi.

But SOME of the info is true because it is in the motions that the judge spoke of:

allegations in the document. It is unclear whether the sheriff viewed any document prior to speaking with the media. However, the sheriff told the media that inmates are not required to state the pledge of allegiance in order to receive meals. The sheriff also stated he had no knowledge of a Hepatitis C infection at the jail. He denied that the defendant was videotaped while in the restroom and that he or his staff had intercepted letters from or to the defendant and provided them to the media. The sheriff also denied the allegation that the defendant was denied medical treatment while in the jail.

My apologies for linking the "hoax" article. I was just picking random articles about rifts between JA & Estrella Jail/Sheriff Joe.

There are plenty of good experienced lawyers that have said they are dumbfounded by her actions and see no logic in the way JSS has run this trial. Including at least 3 at the COA and most probably a few at the Supreme Court. <modsnip>

That short video of Dr. DeMarte's testimony, with JW interrupting her every sentence and JSS allowing repeated prolonged approaches, is a mirror image of that trial and this one. I've never seen another trial like it.

My question is, why didn't the judge respond to each motion as it came along?

You are also welcome to your opinion, and to take other's opinions as fact, but that doesn't mean picking their brains is the same as knowing what went on in hers.
I'm just stating why I support her. I in no way am accusing anyone on this site of being a JA supporter. If I strongly disagree with someone's opinions, I'll put them on ignore.

Because it was easier to handle them all at once? Nurmi is going to continue to file, but hopefully this will discourage him.

LinasK, I believe you. (I have a nephew who is a famous attorney in his own right in Houston. He would be arguing likely right there with you.) But I think attorneys love the game, the debate if you will. And that angers me because I am fairly black and white, not too much is gray with me. JSS has known all along that JA is guilty of a heinous murder, not because the jury found her guilty but because she admitted it and there is DNA evidence. So why the games? There is no way the judge knew how the COA or SC would rule unless she is clairvoyant, or unless, as I think, the judges and lawyers love playing these games. It is wrong to put the jury through that for weeks. Wrong for Travis Alexander. Someone said this is a good day for Travis. No. Travis doesn't have good days. It will be a good day for his family when a sentence finally comes. Of course, that could be weeks away, thanks to the defense team and this judge who allowed them to run this wild goosechase for weeks. You said you could see the judge's logic. I just can't. That said, I am still very happy with today's rulings. I just will not be compared to those lunatics on the JA support pages.
