RI - Mass Shooting at Brown University - Providence 13 Dec 2025

Right foot/ankle also appears to overpronate or "buckle under" as he walks.
He looks like he might be wearing a baseball cap backwards, although it's hard to tell. Nothing really stands out about his appearance.

This may be an individual who is not a part of the university community at all, but someone with a political agenda and some kind of grudge against the university. JMO

But we don't know. It could even be domestic violence, with a former partner or a stalker killing someone who rejected his advances.

IMO!!!
It looks like so called "knock-kneed" gait.
Or it is the result of obesity.

From what I am seeing so far, the theory it was a student who boiled over from the pressure of ivy league finals does not seemed to have gained any traction. Is there evidence of a personal connection to any victims so far?

I think multiple students would have been recording the review session and would have captured what he yelled before firing.

Looks pigeon toed to me. And chubby, stocky. Looks like a white collared shirt under a dark gray sweater. I didnt see a hat, just dark hair.

This person has very specific gait.
And seems overweight.

Well, to my eyes.
Both Bevers and Barraz’s killers had a specific gait….

I’ll remain cautiously optimistic that he will be caught

Investigators have retrieved shell casings from the scene of the Brown University shooting as evidence. (per CNN)
Likely he was wearing gloves when handling the gun, but maybe not.
One can recover DNA from casings, by various means. DNA From Shell Casings - Bode Technology

Toward the end of the video we’re given it almost looks like he’s about to take a right (onto the stairs which leads to a building) which could just be due to the camera angle but also reinforces your point (or my eyes are just playing tricks on me).

Just digging around in this area and there are multiple escape routes this guy could have taken.

The "limp" thing could also be the result of oversized footwear or maybe lifts.

Nobody else is for a Keyser Soze impersonator? Really? He's got the outfit and the limp working... you don't think a few blocks later he has shed the clothes and is walking perfect???

No doubt the police/FBI are doing their best with video - but this isn't CSI where some nerdy girl can just press a button and access all film in the city and analyze it between commercials. It takes time.

Best bet for a quick capture would've been if any survivors recognized the shooter or were able to provide some kind of extraordinary identification.

Shooter could be many places, now - but it doesn't mean LE won't soon be hot on his trail.

Someone in that classroom knows or knew him.
Maybe. But the Michigan State University campus murders in Feb 2023 were perpetrated by Anthony McRae - a man with no proven connection to the school, the staff, or any of the students.

Another quick thought... It would appear he prioritized shooting quickly and getting away quickly over staying and shooting as many people as possible (and likely dying). Could be because he had a specific target. MOO

I was thinking of that case, as well. Especially when I saw the video, for some reason.

If he had a specific target, why not kill the person in not such a risky public way? Then again, maybe he was stalking the person, or wanted to make a statement.

Nothing yet. I believe he attacked that classroom for a reason though.

I think so too. However the doors were unlocked and the classroom is on the first floor....could be opportunistic he chose that classroom.

Are we sure that's a man? Just asking.

An odd side story. The NFLs Buffalo Bills are staying in a hotel in Providence Saturday night. They will be playing the New England Patriots in nearby Foxboro, Mass. on Sunday afternoon (12/14). They are apparently affected by the lockdown. I assume there is extra security at their hotel.

Buffalo Bills remain in Providence hotel as police seek Brown shooter
