AM better enjoy that rehab um spa cause when he gets out Katy barn the door. Undercovered corruptness that’s been uncovered will be flying like arrows in AM’s direction. That jail bed won’t have adjustable buttons.MOO

With what we know now-it seems simply incredible that one man could muck up his life so badly, especially given he probably had a better start than most.

I'm hoping the Feds swoop in and make several arrests. Feels like it's coming -- early morning arrests and/or early morning searches. Then again, if PM is a POI in the murder investigation, the Feds would almost certainly lay low and not do anything that might impede the State's investigation of that. But can anyone in a position of authority in that State be trusted?? JMO.

I really hope they are digging into the murders of PM and MM. I just don’t think they have evidence of AM being involved or they would have pressed on that by now.

Great post, Normmajean. Excellent to hear from 'insiders' who've lived the issues we discuss. Good for you for 10 years! Hope you are doing well. : )
Appreciate the positivity! That is the great thing about this community. We get to share our experiences collectively and productively with all opinions respected. Too bad the real world isn't a little more like that! Lol

Wow MM shot in the back, fleeing?
Wow that's bone chilling to consider. Just makes me want to see justice for MM and all the others touched in this tragic story

Alex Murdaugh was mastermind in diverting over $3.5M in death settlement checks, court docs say
https://twitter.com/jmonkatthestate/status/1445515745731887107?s=21

Less than two weeks after denying they had any role in the Gloria Satterfield settlement, partners at the Murdaugh family law firm now have a lot of explaining to do after court documents allege that firm employees participated in the fraudulent scheme.

As I have said before, it is my opinion that AM’s law partner brothers etal have engaged in the same type of fraud/skimming from settlements that they have handled for other clients.
If AM would have seen to it that GS’s sons had received the bullsh** amount of $500,000, in a timely manner, perhaps the banking and insurance fraud would have never come to light.
Greed, arrogance and stupidity by AM in that settlement will be the undoing of PMPED. And it should be. MOO
AM is no “mastermind”. He learned these tricks from those at the firm who came before him.
IMO

EXACTLY. Even if he had taken his HUGE cut legally, it is still highway robbery. There is no reason he had to completely and totally rob those poor orphaned boys blind like that.

PMPED vs Alex Murdaugh

What, exactly, prompted PMPED to suddenly investigate AM in "early September"?

Early on it was said that MM had asked for forensic audit of pmped, this was supposed to have happened around the last mediation for beach lawsuit. I thought I had read that MM was a partner as well in the firm. Then she is murdered. I have wondered what happened to that audit.

It was sept 2 this check is on AM’s desk from another law firm. The amount wasn’t stated. If other law firms were sending AM checks at pmped it’s possible others didn’t know until he left the check out. Idk

My grandmother also cut up the bologna, fried it, then scrambled it in eggs.

Jim Griffin, representing Murdaugh alongside fellow South Carolina Democratic heavyweight attorney Dick Harpootlian, tweeted to local FITSNews journalist Mandy Matney on Monday, saying, "surely your ‘sources’ have confirmed that medical records establish that Alex Murdaugh was shot in the head. If not, I will wager you a bottle of Daufuskie Island Rum. What do you say?"

Alex Murdaugh's medical records in question after alleged botched shooting

Snipped

After her funeral, Alex Murdaugh told Satterfield’s sons that he was responsible for their mother’s death and introduced them to an attorney, Fleming, to handle a wrongful death suit against him. But her sons were never informed of a possible conflict of interest, as Fleming was also Alex Murdaugh’s former college roommate and godfather to Paul Murdaugh.

What if AM put it in Murdaugh trust 2, and is there a Murdaugh trust 1.

Would LE/authorities have access to see or would there be a paper trail or electronic/cellphone trail of where the money went.

"A dead CES at the scene could have potentially have been blamed for all manner of crime."

That ^^ is one of my pet theories.

Was CES lured there, with AM planning g to shoot him in 'self defense'? And then of course claiming he was the killer of his wife and son, etc, etc.

The problem with that theory is---why didn't it happen? AM would have easily blindsided him.
Wow, that’s making sense!

So AM’s college roommate represents the sons, AM’s firm represents the Estate, AM is the defendant in the wrongful death suit and NONE of these geniuses thought there maybe, possibly, sort of was a CONFLICT OF INTEREST? Nope. I’m just not buying it.

wish @zencompass would weigh in on the new developments. It’s been a while since she’s posted.

Do we know for an absolute fact that CES was the only one in the truck when it stopped? By whose report is that a fact?

Smith, his co-defendant, is a much lesser-known commodity. Murdaugh's legal team has described him as a former law client of Murdaugh's who later became his personal drug dealer.

Alex Murdaugh and man accused of shooting him granted bail in SC suicide plot case

But Smith provided many more details about his past in a deposition for a 2010 personal injury lawsuit filed against American Forest Management, which was settled in 2012. Alex Murdaugh represented Smith in the lawsuit.

Here is how Smith portrayed his life:

Smith, the oldest of three brothers, was born on Parris Island in Beaufort County. His father was a Marine.

The family bounced around when Smith was growing up. They lived in North Carolina and Mississippi before settling in Walterboro in 1983. Smith said he attended high school in Walterboro and Mississippi, completing the 12th grade.

Smith married and had one daughter. The couple divorced.

After high school, Smith first worked for a manufacturer making forklifts, and then worked on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi.

During a slow period, he moved back to South Carolina and began logging. He bought a logging truck and was an over-the-road freight hauler for approximately 10 years.

He supervised a crew contracted by the government to do cleanup after Hurricane Hugo devastated the coast in 1989, and then continued trucking from 1991 until 1995, when he was arrested for driving under the influence.

Smith filed for bankruptcy in Colleton County in 1997. His debt was discharged in 1999.

In the 2000s, Smith worked as a supervisor for several logging companies between stints driving trucks.

Smith was approached by Buster Harrison in 2004, who wanted to start his own logging business. Smith worked for Harrison as a supervisor while also operating his own logging trucks at the business.

The work was stressful and the days were long. Smith sold all but one of his logging trucks in the mid-2000s to focus more on his role as a supervisor.

In September 2007, Smith injured his back attempting to cross a ditch while marking a logging area. He tried to continue his normal work duties, but “I was hurting, you know,” he said.

He continued to work for Harrison as a supervisor for another year until his workers' compensation claim was approved. He underwent two surgeries for the injury.

He told the attorneys he could not run or lift as a result of the injury. He took prescribed medication on a regular basis, including oxycodone, an opioid, and diazepam, also known by the trade name Valium.

Pure unadulterated greed, I'm shocked and disgusted by the entire Murdaugh "Dynasty" and hope anyone involved will be held accountable.

If someone with legal knowledge can comment...Doesn't the following prove PMPED firm was involved in the whole Satterfield debacle?

"Tuesday’s filing also provided insight on how PMPED was allegedly involved in Satterfield’s settlements. PMPED represented Satterfield’s estate as well as her son Tony Satterfield as its initial representative.

"PMPED sent letters of representation of the Estate to third parties, prepared probate documents for the Estate and the Personal Representative of the Estate, notarized probate documents and exchanged emails with Cory Fleming, also attorney for the Personal Representative and the beneficiaries of the Estate about the settlement funds," the filing says. "Presumably, PMPED also approved in the change of the Personal Representative as this was discussed between Fleming and Murdaugh."

Well we never did find out who the "Good Samaritan(s) were or how PMPED people wound up at the "shooting" scene after the victim fled from it. I'd say let's not take it for granted that AM was unaccompanied for all the time he was there only because he and his lawyers have proven to be less than forthcoming about many things. AJMO

@CodyAlcorn

My interview w/ Griffin is scheduled to air on Tues night. He showed me the report filed by the flight nurse(s) on medical chopper who flew Alex Murdaugh to Savannah on 9/4. It describes blood but not specific wound. He did NOT have Alex’s medical record but says its been requested.

I wonder if CES showed up with someone else along for the ride and AM instantly knew that a plan to shoot CES and pin everything on him as @katydid23 suggests back aways in this thread was not going to work and he improvised and not very well at that. MOO MOO MOO MOO
