I think someone else mentioned this, but my thought was that the caller came across a "person down" and the first impression, which they mentioned on the call, was a heart attack, even though maybe it really wasn't that but homicide? Are we putting too much emphasis on the medical call for help? Do we know what was said on the 911 call....maybe the person calling was in a panic and didn't relay the true situation accurately? Or maybe the person calling only noticed the heart attack victim and not the others until later?
IDK.
We need an accurate timeline, 911 call info, etc. Seems like this LE might be the tight-lipped type.

RSBM-if the victims were shot or stabbed, I would think that crime scene investigation would take longer than a few days, not to mention clean-up. Carpets would have to removed, etc. Poison is not messy.

I'm picturing that many of this company's employees are working on various jobsites doing property maintenance etc. They could still do their jobs even though their office "home base" was in disarray. Kind of like when I worked for the US Forest Service. Lots of our actual work was done out in the woods, so a power outage or what have you "problem" back at the office did not interfere with the work at all, except for checking in/out at the beginning/end of the day, and administrative stuff like time sheets...
