You are wicked cool Linda- you would fit right in in my family and neighborhood with that sense of humor of yours!

I actually have that paralysis sleep- never heard it explained quite that way- but it happens to me pretty regularly. My husband in the last few years has finally gotten hip to the beat and started waking me up.

For those who like baking or just looking at gorgeous pics of sweet treats, check out this website...and she's got a cookbook coming out!

www.sweetapolita.com

I made her dark chocolate cake with chocolate swiss meringue buttercream a couple weeks ago for my friend's daughter's bd. I also had a semi major meltdown in her kitchen while I was making it as two of my six layers disintegrated as the cake came crashing down...yet miraculously I was able to salvage 4 of them. :scared:

Frigga have you tried nuts.com they have great gluten free mixes and all kinds of nuts

Terrific gluten free bread mixes. No phyllo tho.

Thank you Gypsy for managing to knock out my craving for Baklava in one fell swoop... errr one small paragraph!

HA HA! I'm sorry!

I was just getting ready to ask you how you are feeling now that you have gone gluten free and then I saw this post! Keep up with the good work! I've wanted to try gluten free, but it seems so overwhelming and I don't know where to begin, and I'm not sure I have the will power to stick with it! :seeya:

I love Mexican too. And Italian. And Seafood. My trainer wants me to eat 220 calories for dinner. A lean meat and a green vegetable every night.

I say, you mean baked chicken breast or broiled fish, and spinach, broccoli, asparagus or green beans, every single night? She says, sure. I did it for a couple weeks. Then I said, uh uh. Life's too short.:seeya:

What did I miss, where was it explained... Is it where you feel like your whole body is asleep...:seeya:

Heading to bed folks... Good night everyone:)

Pferrin! No, I haven't but thank you, I will check it out. I have tried a few from Whole Foods that have been pretty good but I am happy to find new sources. I am lucky that there is a lot more out there these days. Whole foods just came out with a fantastic lemon cheesecake in their bakery with a cashew crust that is to die for!

220 calories? That's tough! I couldn't do it. No way.

But I will say this about broccoli. I used to hate it. I thought it was the most boring vegetable on the planet until one of my ex-boyfriends from long ago fixed dinner one night and squeezed lime juice on the broccoli and added a seasoning called Badia Complete Seasoning (I think it's a Spanish or Latin brand, but you can find it in Publix and World Market). Anyway, now I crave broccoli:seeya:

Ok saved the site when you posted it a week or 2 ago. Am definitely making that meringue icing cake. My mom would make one on special occasions... What a treat. Thanks so much for the reminder of childhood yummy times.

You MADE them?!!! As a fashion designer major and sewer myself....I am VERY IMPRESSED!!!! Awesome job you did!!!!!!! WOW!
THANK YOU ... I am not seamstress either ..but I loved it so much and it was a trick to trying to keep them authentic ...

This is exactly how it feels...only I do wear pjs!
It used to happen to me a lot, the scary part for me was the feeling of somebody pushing down on me, i would swear somebody was there. It happened more when I slept on my stomach, and then when I was flat on my back. I haven't had it in a while and really don't know why it stopped, but I don't miss it. :seeya:
