LOL Thanks Hatfield, it seems like a weird question but it sorta surprised me that it's never come to mind before.

You are so correct. When you really listen and watch all the answers and stories she gives, you realize it is truly a bunch of hogwash.

I was just watching earlier a review of the case from Vinnie on I think HLN, and he reminded me how she first told the police she wasnt even there at his house that day. Then her story changed to the "Ninja" intruders. Then while on the stand, she claims self defense. 3 different stories.

She is the biggest liar in Arizona. If there was any truth at all about self defense, she would not have tried to use her first 2 excuses of not being there at all, and then the Ninja intruders.

The intruder lies she told were my personal favorite...LOL How she saw them kill Travis, and they saw her too but miraculously they just left her alone to be able to tell police on them. I suppose she thought the police would believe they let her go because of how nice a person she is. It really is incredible this 1.

Oh i love the part where she was able to escape (but grabbed her purse on the way out). Cuz you know when you are being attacked by Ninja intruders that have just slaughtered your friend, and you fear for your life ,you ALWAYS take the time to grab your purse when leaving. Cuz what you are thinking about at a time like that is " I really need to escape but let me grab my purse first"

Yeah, I heard that she won some kind of prize for longest testimony ever or something, lol. She'll just love talking about herself.

Is it wrong that I just wanted to slap her while I was watching the interrogation? I'm not a violent person AT ALL but she peed me off so much. The way she would direct the conversation back to herself, or just completely close down when asked a direct question. Wow. How the detectives did not lose it with her shows great restraint on their part.

If only...

Many peace-loving citizens wanted to slap her.

She had to wear an electric shock device whenever she appeared in court. I hoped more than once that she would do something that required them to electronically zap her. I wondered if there was something wrong with me for hoping that...then decided there wasn't.

BBM. She did? Wow! I didn't know that. Shame they didn't shock her periodically just for the lolz.

I'm not sure whether you've watched Juan's cross of Arias yet. Epic greatness is what it is. The first question he asks of her is brilliant. You can see how smug and arrogant Arias is right from the start. The polite thing we saw on 48 hours is nowhere to be seen. Juan's aggressiveness (I wouldn't even call it that--how else do you deal with a habitual liar/murderer?) just brought out the devil to the surface. There is also a great Perry Mason moment when he discusses the gas cans. It's a real treat!

You really need to post the recipe when you do this. I want to go and fix it right then.

Yes ma'am

Apple Dumplings
Ingredients
2 Granny Smith apples
1 lemon
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 canned buttermilk biscuits
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Peel, core and slice the apples vertically into 8 slices each. Squeeze the lemon into a bowl of water and add the apple slices to keep from turning brown.

In a medium saucepan, mix 1 cup water, 3/4 cup of the sugar, the butter and vanilla. Bring the sugar mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Separate each biscuit into 2 layers. Wrap a biscuit layer around a slice of apple, stretching the biscuit slightly to overlap, and seal on the bottom. Place the wrapped slices, sealed-side down, in a 9- by 12- by 2-inch casserole dish. Pour the hot sugar mixture over the apple slices. Mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle the mixture over the tops of the wrapped apples. Bake until golden brown, 35 minutes.

Good eeevening...I was over at really big dog catching up on her blog posts and a question occurred, so of course I scooted right over here to ask - there are several breeds of miniature dogs, why aren't there any miniature cat breeds?

Jodi Arias trial, the truth about the 59 page motion to dismiss death penalty

"...Meanwhile a flurry of papers that amounts to just over 50 pages has been filed by the defense this week. This is an eleventh hour motion before retrial that is a request to move that the State drop their motion of intent to seek the death penalty according to Arizona Central on Oct. 2...."

http://www.examiner.com/article/jod...t-the-59-page-motion-to-dismiss-death-penalty

If the defense is talking about the emails with the Hughes' then we have seen those, the Hughes' discussed them, and decided it was much ado about nothing. If there are emails between Jodi and Travis that allege abuse I'd definitely take these with a grain of salt in light of the forged pedophile letters. They're trying to say Martinez his these letters or whatever. How can they blame him for not presenting something that probably wasn't there? I mean, if Jodi knew of their existence back then why didn't she say anything. I'm thinking, if anything, Juan will point these emails out to be forgeries and that no investigation of Travis' email ever turned these up. The reason Jodi had to say it was part of the, oh I forgot the word, but the Mormon idea that you don't write anything down, the reason she had to say that is because it wasn't written anywhere, not by her and not by Travis. Now there are emails? Um, no. All Juan has to say is these emails came from an outside, unrelated source, and not from investigators. Case closed.

That was my favorite, too. Especially the part where one of the Ninjas took the time to go through her purse and get her address off her driver's license so they could come after her at a later date if she told anyone.

"You're that b**** from California..."

It still cracks me up.

IIRC the address on that driver's license was Big Sur. And a PO Box!

Of course I suppose most Ninja killers would be content parking outside the post office waiting for their prey to show up...in the event they had to return at some point to silence her.

Then there's "Shut the hell up."

Wow, these ninjas sure talk tough.

Juan Martinez made the trial unmissable. There are too many spectacular sections to list but his cross-examination is full of 'Perry Mason' moments, as Rosee222 indicates. I've watched the entire trial over the last year on YouTube. I watch little TV - why bother when this is good drama?

My favourite moment was the 'Ring Finger' cross on day 25. Jaw-dropping craftsmanship from Juan Martinez. Day 21 - the first day of the prosecution cross-examination is impressive. Straight away, it shows Arias at her psychotic, smug best. It's also a stark contrast from her acting during Nurmi's torturous, slowly-drawled Defense presentation. Arias makes no attempt to continue playing 'Mormon girl seduced by a man into acts of depravity'. Within four minutes, Juan reveals the real Arias:

http://youtu.be/Muqjj4B_9Kg Watch point 3 minutes, 35 seconds from the start.

Juan Martinez to Jodi Arias - "I thought you said your relationship with Mr Alexander was very stressful?".

Jodi Arias replies, "Some of the sex wasn't".

Ba Boom. Within a few minutes, she is boasting about her sex life with Travis Alexander, even using it as a retort to Martinez. Nurmi must have been crumpling inside after long days painting her as a victim of sexual abuse.

Arias continues her brazen, smirking approach:

http://youtu.be/zl21IwjLkQ0

Again, in ten minutes, her comfort with sexual discussions is evident. The delighted-with-herself 'quip' regarding 'Loni's Baptism' (7.30 minutes in) crushes Nurmi's attempts at portraying her as sexually timid. Juan Martinez may not be the most effortlessly eloquent, smooth-talking prosecutor in the world but he is staggeringly convincing, watchable, competent. I wish we could see more of him during the next phase.

Not yet. I'm on day 5. Heather Connor has just finished testifying for the prosecution. I liked her

Jodi Arias trial: Friend of Alexander’s criticized his treatment of Arias

"A rambling e-mail exchange between Travis Alexander and one of his closest friends paints a picture of Alexander as a womanizer using Jodi Arias to satisfy the physical desires his official girlfriend would not.

The e-mails were submitted by the Arias defense but never made public because the judge ruled they were “hearsay.”..."

Saturday morning cartoons are no more :crying:

"...This past Saturday, the CW became the last broadcast television network to cut Saturday morning cartoons....“It’s sad, though, that an entire generation of kids is missing out on lazy Saturdays filled with excellent cartoons,” wrotes Jessica Rawden of Cinema Blend...."

An end of an era and very sad, IMO.

I guess children these days watch their computer screens?

I don't know any more as my youngest son is 24.

I remember watching cartoons every Saturday Am while eating my breakfast- even when I went to college :blushing:

I watched cartoons with my older son in the 70's thru the 80's and with my younger son, in the 90's thru the 00's.

Guess I'm getting old :HHJP: and don't understand what's happening in the world anymore. Just put me out to pasture. :sigh:

Oh, that IS so sad... I too remember watching all the Looney Tunes, Mickey Mouse Club, Mr. Magoo, Elmer Fudd, etc. etc. But as someone stated - they DO have their computer screens, so that can download ANY kind of cartoons they want!

Many peace-loving citizens wanted to slap her.

Here's a few I got when I googled "Images of Minature cats"

sorry - could only get one pix to attached...

Why is hearsay in quotes? It was hearsay. And the only way to get that letter in is to call Chris Hughes and he has already explained the email and that the reason he wrote it, and later regretted, was because Jodi was, at that time, trying to turn Travis and the Hughes' against each other by telling them exaggerated things about their relationship and about Travis. Yes, CH does use the word "abuse" but said that in a later email in the same chain he retracted the word because it was too harsh.

No way the defense wants to open that can of worms so they will never introduce the letter. They just get their favorite reporter to print one sided presentations of it to continue his own personal jury tainting campaign.

How about let CH explain the email himself. Yeah...that's what I thought.
