:jawdrop: How dare you all spend any of her inheritance on anything for your home!
We all know Mr. Coffeejunkie worked 44 years of his life to make a nice little nest egg for your kids :giggle: And here you go buying a new fridge that was only 20 years old! And then you had the nerve to replace old carpet? I do hope you did as she requested and cut up your credit cards. :giggle: What is wrong with our adult children these days? They just ASSUME they are entitled to everything! SMH
Susza You so sweet! You have a very good heart to think about your parents in such a caring way. We should all be so lucky.
Well tell your daughter that I will be pitching in on the gas money, then maybe she'll let you go
That really would be fun. I must admit I do have a phobia of bridges these days. I have never been real fond of them, even as a child I remember closing my eyes as we drove over one. As a teen and younger adult, I didn't love them...but I traveled to Indiana quite frequently. I always took my girls to Santa Claus Land (now called) Holiday World every summer, to Hubers every Oct. to get pumpkins and a hayride. And then again every December.
For at least 10 years in a row I would take a week of my vacation the first week of every November and do ALL my Christmas shopping at the Green Tree and Riverside Malls. There were other stores right there close such as K mart, Value city and I can't remember the name of the big Drugstore (?) there by Value City, but they had very nice things. Leather wallets etc.... I would leave at 8 am. and shop until they closed. BUT ~ I always finished it all up in one day! I had all the stores to myself as most people were working. I hate crowds when I shop...I hate to even shop now.
We would go to Caesars Casino (now called Horseshoe Southern Indiana) several times a year. So, although I was always leery of bridges, I still traveled over them with no problem. BUT NOT ANYMORE...
My sister used to live in Minnesota years ago before they moved back here to Kentucky. They remained close to a couple that used to live next door to them. They still visit each other twice a year. The other couple comes here in the winter, and my sister and BIL go there in the summer. In 2007 the other couple's husband picked them up at the airport, and they had just crossed over the bridge before it collapsed. :scared: Missed it by one minute!!
I have not been on a bridge since.
I remember that bridge collapse in Minnesota. WOW That was a really close call Dmacky and glad they made it over. That was a really huge bridge and when it fell it was terrible.
They kind of creep me out too going over any bridge. Especiallly the really long ones like in Florida or Cape Hatteras area or Norfolk area where they go over huge spans of water.
It really made me mad when the government had all that money some years ago and they wanted to spend it to jump start economy and gave it to Banks instead of spending it on infrastructure to fix our roads and bridges.
The banks took it and gave bonuses to their managers and its all gone. If our government would have just setup infratstructure projects, it would have put people to work and the end result would have been great roads and bridges for all our people. We would have had something to show for it and people may have kept those new jobs.
Was going to post this the other day when I got yet another sticker in my foot, and was thinking, hmmmm, bet there's a few folks out there that haven't tried this:
You know when you get a stupid sticker in your foot, or hand, wherever, and you can't get a grip on it with tweezers because it's just too small but it's driving you crazy?!?!?!?!
Duct tape.
Just put a fresh piece of duct over the area, press down and pull up.
Duct tape.............the "Wonder Tape", lol!

I am at work now. Will try to post later on. Your right it is a shame. I don't know if I mentioned this but in recent years mass shootings went from once a month to once week. The training talked a lot about bullying also. You never now what struggles someone is facing or where their breaking point is.

Leonardo DiCaprio to Play America’s Most Famously Prolific Serial Killer for Martin Scorsese
"Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and Jeffrey Dahmer are all notorious names in America’s history. But if it’s gruesome murder sprees and style you want, then the U.S. serial killer for you is H.H. Holmes...
H.H. Holmes admitted to killing 27 women in the time surrounding the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago, but is widely believed to have dispatched closer to 200 victims. Holmes built himself the perfect murdering machine in the shape of a diabolical hotel since nicknamed the Murder Castle. (American Horror Story Season 5, anyone?) The structure had gas lines that fed into rooms, enormous furnaces, lime and acid pits, and large vaults where Holmes tortured, suffocated, and strangled his victims. All the while decked out in the natty attire of a well-to-do 19th-century gentleman.."

Had my MRI on Friday and have a torn infraspinatous/supraspinatous tendon which is why I haven't been here. I swear IMOO arm pain is Wayyyyy Worse than back pain and it is very very annoying. And I blew the L2-L3 level above my fusion. So, no pity party here. I am learning how to reupholster by watching videos. LOL. And buying all kinds of stuff on EBay. I finally got a muscle relaxer that works: Good Old Valium and that has made a huge difference in my arm pain. It will heal on its own and I just gotta keep doing.
Xoxo
Now we need this for a road trip. We'd go up and get YesorNo up in New York slide on down and get Gigi and Zuri, then over to get Spellbound, Nore, coffee and you. I love road trips. Dh tells my sisters and I to tell him where to go and he drives. Of course we'd have to stop at every garage sale, pawn shop and antique shops, but we'd have a wonderful time and good company.
Hope you are feeling better. :blowkiss:
(Valium? that puts me to sleep)
My sleep pattern is totally out of whack! Been going sleep around 6-7pm and wide awake by 1-2am. Then I go back asleep around 5-6 am and sleep till 8-9am. Just too crazy for me...
