But, what is the point of having them if you don't check on them?

And, while a camera was never unplugged before, there was an incident where the same camera, in the same stairwell that was messed with , when someone was sneaking people into a party.

Oh, I think it was his JOB to check them, but...well...yeah.

Ut oh, the next exits after the HI in Hillsville were far away!!

The Pros just screwed up.

HC is a completely disorganized prosecutor who asks dumb questions the answers to which seem to elude him.

What is the relevance of the operating hoursf or the computer and printer?
What is the relevance of the "newspaper thing" location?
What is the relevance of the color of "that thing"?
Why is the access to the elevator relevant?
Why asking about the "check out thing" coming out of the printer.

Just me?

His questions were excellent, assuming you know the evidence.

In case a murderer is using your hotel as a staging ground for a murder.

I found it to be laying the foundation for further testimony (boring but necessary)

As the EMT testified, the blood was already dry. He could tell by the amount of blood and the fact that it was already dried, that his victim was DOA.

Then how did she get her feet wet?

You are right, but for some of us it's like watching a movie you saw before, and wanting to FF to the end !!

We all want that the Verdict so bad!!

Oh for heaven's sake she wasn't given something that would STONE her, just make her drowsy! And we are referring to a time-frame of nearly 10 hours after she would have been given the medication. Most of that was probably spent sleeping! Of course she would not exhibit any symptoms of drowsiness after sleeping for 8 or more hours!

Yet we wonder why some jurors don't have much 'common sense'. :waitasec:

so unknown print could have been a latent partial from a store clerk or anyone else in the store that touched the bottle..

JY's absence of prints on the outside of the bottle... could indicate wipedown, etc...

I still am very interested in why an adult med that JY would have samples of is in a pediatric syringe. (adults do not take liquid meds with syringes in general)

thanks otto for the link..

this trial is very interesting and seems HIGHLY circumstantial...

I'm a little behind here and didn't listen to court today. But I did see the first trial.

In a circumstantial case, it's the NUMBER of circumstances that are involved pointing to guilt, that often times in totality, could only mean the accused is guilty as charged.

The problem with the first trial was, the defendant spent the entire trial taking notes of each witness. Then, the surprise defense move to have the defendant testify in his own behalf. So he had days and hours to figure a way to explain away each and every circumstance. IF the pros had done their job correctly, imho, they would have been prepared for the def to testify and counter each and every accusation leveled against him.

The def, NOT ONE time, never, ever, spoke to LE. The day he arrived at the home after being summoned by LE, because of his wife's murder, he REFUSED to speak to LE. HE said he already had a lawyer. HE wouldn't even take LE through the crime scene to verify if anything was missing, ie a robbery.

I just pray this time, the pros has all their ducks in a row. JY has already played his hand and didn't let him pass go, so now he's up for a rematch. Hopefully, the jury will get it right.

Just a little background.

People get relaxed over time. He'd never had a problem with the cameras before. No biggie to me. Yes the camera had been moved once in the past.

How does she put her doll near Michelle then?

It could have been put there, while JY was there. You don't know, and neither do I. He could have told her "do not get near Mommy, she's trying to sleep" & she decided to toss it off the bed, for her Mommy.

And once again I'm confused. Is there some indisputible fact I'm missing that has CY walking around in either in wet blood only OR dry blood only? Some reason that both scenarios aren't possible? Obviously she was in the room with wet blood or there'd be no footprints. Obviously she was in the room with dry blood, as she was in her mom's bed when MY was found.

Definitely not just you. His questioning of Mrs. Cooper about the ducks will be my lasting impression of him.

Let's hope the Jurors are not confused, Bottle Cap.

I don't think today went that well for either side.

In the last trial the Hampton Inn employees seemed more sure of themselves.

This is the problem with a 5+year case....

:(

OT...sure would have been nice if that line of questioning hadn't even come up. You know, if the people who knew where the ducks were all along and who should have had a vested interest in the truth coming out...if you're innocent, why obfuscate?...had said so upon first hearing the phrase "missing ducks".

thank you Fran for the synopsis...

That is very very concerning that he did not speak to LE not even once with atty.

  • #219
Can someone enlighten me as to what inference the defense wants people to make with the repeated questions about CY being clean, no diaper, no urine, etc.....

The possibility that Cassidy had not been alone in the home all nite and all the way up to 1:30 pm in the afternoon.

The EMT testifed she was fine.

I think she woke up, walked into the room shortly after (or during) JY killed her Mommy. The blood was fresh, JY was still there. He had to clean her up, explain what was wrong with Mommy, get her back to sleep, etc

By the time Cassidy woke up, the blood was dried. Meredith said there was dried blood on the child's corners of her toenails. JY didn't quite get all the blood off that baby's feet.
