Over a dozen of Suzanne Simpson’s friends and family members are gathering for a candle light prayer vigil. The organizer tells me he just wants everyone to pray Suzanne returns home @News4SA

@News4SA the organizer tells me he’s known both Suzanne and her husband Brad for years

I wonder if LE used cadaver dogs in his truck.

Also,
how strange that he "escaped to his ranch" the next day leaving kids alone.
"Distancing himself from family" (as was reported)
Was he fleeing?

My same thoughts...
And surely LE did this during their searches...

I’m willing to bet that the tension was set into motion earlier than the argument at Argyle. Speculation: Suzanne may have indicated that she was planning to leave him. His ego and wallet were about to be bruised.

The most dangerous time in any relationship involving domestic violence is when the victim tries to leave.

jmo
That’s what I suspect also.

If she walked away with him, I'd put money on him having a weapon on her. A knife or a gun, ensuring compliance.

MOO
Didn’t even think about that. Perhaps a knife since nobody heard a gunshot (is think that a silencer would take some planning?… this seems more like a “crime of passion” sort of thing).

I doubt it. I think when law enforcement was conducting searches of their properties, they came across something of interest to the ATF.

So my money is on a new development as opposed to an earlier investigation.
Grabbing at anything and everything to keep him behind bars (to protect his children) and I am all for that.

I haven't read all the posts here yet.
But
I can't believe a neighbor saw him hit his wife and then heard screams coming from the woods and DID NOT CALL 911.

That is frightening. Another man did not see any of this as "concerning behavior"? Is this true?
It is disappointing that the obviously concerned neighbor did not call 911. There are many reasons why he or she did not call. Being familiar with the town of Olmos Park I am not totally surprised at the decision. This is a small town only 4 miles from downtown San Antonio. If the neighbor called 911 the police notified would have been the Olmos Park police. Olmos Park has a population of about 2,000 people and a few hundred homes. Their police department understands they are employed to serve the residents. If you don’t belong in the town they will come down hard on you. If you reside there they will protect you. If the resident had called 911 the timeline probably would not have changed. Unless the Olmos Police got lucky and observed something illegal, they would have not done anything other than identify the situation as a resident and they would have moved on.
BS and his wife may or may not be wealthy. They are obviously connected to influence in San Antonio. Their home is probably 75 to a hundred years old and on the fringe of Olmos Park, but still valued at over a million dollars do to the location and the influence that brings. BS brother was the Honorary Fiesta King a few years ago. You do not get more connected in local politics than that. This will be interesting to see how Susan’s disappearance is resolved. This sort of thing just doesn’t occur in Olmos Park. James McMurtry wrote a song that included a verse about Olmos Park called “Safe Side” I believe. I feel so very sorry for all members of this family and their friends. Especially the children. I hope anyone involved in this case will keep B&S children’s future in their decisions. I do not have any personal knowledge of the parties involved. I do have familiarity with the area and was employed providing a service in this are for several years. All of this is JMO.

Pure speculation and probably far fetched… but, he works for a water well company- I wonder if he has any drilling equipment on any of his properties and he dug a hole into the Aquifer and threw her in there. But, 1) I’m not sure that hole would be big enough to put a body down it and 2) I’m not sure that that could be done in 8 hrs (that’s assuming that he took her body to his property and then returned the next day after dropping off his daughter at school and operating the drilling equipment.

He would also be familiar with places that had new wells installed and older wells abandoned. She could be down one of those abandoned wells.

Loved ones hold vigil for missing Olmos Park woman as search approaches one week

  • Suzanne's mother is shocked and heartbroken and wants to speak to Suzanne's husband. She had a lot of admiration for him and wants to ask him WHY.
  • She does not think Suzanne is alive.
  • She says she spoke with Suzanne the night of her disappearance and Suzanne told her the things Brad had done to her physically.
  • She came up with a plan and hoped Suzanne would move in with her, and have her little toddler go to the elementary school in her neighborhood. She never got to tell Suzanne the plan.

I was assuming the kids were teens, given the age of the parents. They have a toddler?

Yes, that is what her mother says about 1 min into the video.
If the kids are that young, it makes the father taking off on them and not picking them up from school even more egregious. I'd been making an assumption that they had an age that gave them a degree of independence. But a toddler is one step up from an infant, all the mobility with none of the maturity that comes with adolescence. Abandoning a child that age isn't just on the nose, it's criminal.

This article gives the four children's ages as:

20, 18, 15 and 5 years old,

(moo i wouldn't describe a 5 year old as a "toddler" but instead a " young child" or "preschooler". But she's going through a lot certainly so very understandable. Ps assuming the article is correct)
