Texas Rangers interviewed Suzanne Simpson’s personal banker on Oct. 23, and the banker said Suzanne Simpson had made an outcry of domestic violence in August. She added that her husband would also commonly take her cell phone away.

She told the banker that “if she went missing to look for her in a lake,” the affidavit states.
So she reached out previously...

(Edit: cement splashes were on outside of vehicle) IMO I'm thinking weights in the water.

Wow, I have to say the OPPD, SAPD, and Texas Rangers have done a really good job on this.

I’ve added the latest to her media thread

Not exactly a criminal mastermind, is he?

Item #19 of the affidavit.
Now we know why LE was focused on the landfill. Impressive work by the FBI to locate the man in the parking lot that BS asked for directions to the dump.

They searched the San Antonio landfill, not the one in Kendall county. Garbage pick-up from the home in Olmos Park was on the Monday after the altercation and I think they were looking for that. It probably took over a week before they tracked down the guy from the Boerne Home Depot parking lot. It sounds like he did drive towards the Kendall county dump but he never went in.

This is what panic looks like. He outsmarted himself with the phone stuff, and never considered license plate readers and video surveillance.

We also know why the landfill search ended so abruptly and efforts turned to Bandera. MOO

Reminds me so much of Ana Walshe in Cohasset, MA.

He had plenty of phones. I wonder if any were burners? What else was Brad trying to hide? Drugs? Simple infidelity wouldn't explain so many phones, but maybe I'm naive.

Wonder why he went there, but didn’t go in. Saw the surveillance camera?

Someone has probably already said this down the line (that I haven’t read yet). But, I feel like they need to search Medina Lake because it sounds like he used the cement to wear down her body when he dumped her in the lake (pure speculation )

Yes, this finally makes sense of that. Those searches tend to go on for weeks, and they called it within days.

I’m impressed by the amount of resources they threw at this, and what they were able to piece together without a body.

I do think there’s a decent chance they find her, but even if they don’t, there is overwhelming evidence to prove the murder charge.

They have that lake comment from the witness in the AA, so I’m sure they’ve focused on bodies of water in that area.

I’m still torn between her being buried or in water.

I have to go with water at this point.
  • She told her personal banker to look for her in a lake.
  • He bought two bags of concrete and only one was found in the home search.
  • He bought an orange Home Depot bucket with lid.
  • When he bought the two 1 gallon jugs of water, the tarp was still in the truck. The trash can was still in the truck.
  • When he entered the Boerne area from Bandera County, the blue tarp is no longer visible.
  • When he picked up his daughter, the trash can was still in the truck.
  • At the car wash in San Antonio, the only thing left was the ice chest.
Who knows what was in the trash can. Maybe whatever is used to mix cement, which could have been put into the Home Depot bucket to weigh her down.... Ugh, this is so awful to think about. :(

I can totally see how one would be torn between her being buried vs in water. If I’m not mistaken, BS only had 2-3 bags of the quickcrete to which I do not think would be enough to cover a body. Additionally, I’m not sure that he would have had enough time to dig a hole.

On the other hand, you’d think that quickcrete would still be wet/not cured yet if he dumped her body into the lake. So, I guess a good question would be: How long does it take for quickcrete to cure?

What are your thoughts in this?

Oh! That’s what he must have done… mixed the concrete inside of the Home Depot bucket and secured it with the heavy duty painters lid… this would have allowed him not to have to wait until the concrete cured!

It looks like it takes like 20-40 minutes to set, and I imagine the best way for him to have mixed that would be in the trash can. That also seems like the best way to dispose of her body in water (inside the can with concrete), but the trashcan was present after the fact.

I really think he must have had a shovel under that tarp, and just used the concrete to cover a shallow grave (that's what the killer did in the Vanessa Guillen case).

Yeah, just toss that laptop and those cellphones in the fire... idiot.
Leaving two telling notes on his phone, apologizing for assaulting his wife is a double dog dare ya idiot. Why shut up with all the damning evidence. BS is more ballsy than Bare M. they remind me so much of each other. Power and Control! It won’t be surprising if they find evidence BS is a how to get away with murder fan.
