Almost all reporters near #Thamluangcave are convinced that an attempt is underway to rescue the boys football team and their coach. Officials are tight lipped and few very senior figures want to speak shortly off the record.

I think it is underway as well.

A pick up went by with two large barrels in the bed, with a man steadying each barrel. Lots of vehicle traffic.

What are guys seeing on the Live feed?

I just now checked it. Not much happening. Green tarps still up and a couple of guards/police wandering nearby. Quiet right now.

I think it gives us all hope that seemingly, the world has come together in action and prayer to help save these children.

What makes men put their lives at risk (and one sacrificed his life) to save children that are not their own? It's that deep calling, something that connects us all. Our souls?

Why do many of us keep coming to this forum and these threads to try to contribute, if "only" in prayer? It's some unspoken, undecipherable connection that compels us.

It's situations like this, as dire as this is, that somehow gives me great hope.

So they are on schedule as planned yesterday.

I think we're only a few hours from hearing about the first group
being out. We may not get immediate update on conditions, etc.

I'm not convinced they have started the actual rescue yet, but it does look like they are preparing to start in the next day or so.

I too think the rescue is underway and has been for a bit imo. I expect to hear something soon of some being out of the cave.

I just read the last posts since I was here last night, and my stomach is in knots. I can't imagine the people on the ground, those that realize the very lives of those trapped depends on THEM ! What an enormous task to undertake. I keep praying for them all. I just can't imagine how the rescuers feel. Each thought we've had, or idea of getting them out, keeping the fed, warm, dry, etc, they've thought of the same, plus more, and have discussed the pros and cons. They have to be mentally exhausted.
