I'm not convinced they have started the actual rescue yet, but it does look like they are preparing to start in the next day or so.

An earlier post said that it was only on Saturday, Thai time?, that some extra cave diving specialists arrived. If they're going to participate in the rescue, won't they need to go through the cave complex at least once to get familiarity with it?

The shaft that was discovered today. #Thamluangcave Messages surrounding the discovery are unclear. Some say it is 400 to 500 meter from the entrance others say it is from the place where the team is held up. It is unclear that is is used in the rescue.

What? Does this mean they found another way out?

But it's close to the entrance anyway, so not much use really imo.

I believe the very best medical help will be provided . They will have counselling and help after they are out.

They just won't be assigned a lot of homework (as a few of them requested). ;)

If its 500 meters that would be about 1500 ft.
Every little bit helps.

Checking in with the live feed. My goodness. The scene with the Bhudist monks and the jungle and the Thai military looks exactly like a scene from a movie.

The sad thing is it is all too real.

Prayers for everyone. Get them out now please.

Hatfield, can you please post the link tia.

(Can someone please post a working live feed link

Unless "others say it is from the place where the team is".

Got more great feedback from Thailand. Primary path is basically a tiny, kid-size submarine using the liquid oxygen transfer tube of Falcon rocket as hull. Light enough to be carried by 2 divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps. Extremely robust.

If the newly-found opening allows them to avoid a dive/swim, that would be helpful.

But it's close to the entrance anyway, so not much use really imo.

But that part close to the entrance is anyway dry I believe.

It is raining in Maesai, over hundred mm of rain predicted over the next three days #Thamluangcave. With this amount of rain predicted it is predicted that in the best case scenario only 10sqm of space would be left for the boys.

Yes that would awesome. Confusing reporting as usual.

I had to google the math...100 mm is almost 4 inches.

There is no way they are going to leave those kids in there for much longer. The conditions are far too unstable.

Giddy up cowboys. Let’s bring these kids home. God speed.
