All the tanks are restrung !!

Right. But it took all those tanks to get the first 4 boys out, and it takes at least 10 hours to replace the tanks.

They now have more divers I think. 6 more British Cavers flew in to help.
Cant remember where I read it but on here somewhere.
I read it too. Time is of the essence here. Their going for it while they can! God speed all!

from CBS News (I no longer know what media to believe)

Thai cave rescue: Operation resumes for remaining 9 who are trapped -- live updates

Thai media reported Monday that the 25-year-old soccer coach was among those who were rescued, CBS News foreign correspondent Ben Tracy reports. Tracy said that while that may seem odd, it's been reported for days that the coach was acutally in the worst shape of those trapped in the cave, since he had been giving the boys all the food and water he had on him.

hi spell my dear

i heard this too then i read their names and there are 4 of them and ages who knows any more what is going on other than they have been amazing but they do need a fluent presser person that speaks both fluently i cant help but wonder if a lot of it is translation stuff

confidnet most of western reporters dont know their language but this has been going on someone can get a pool translator in place and do the pressers

maybe it is cultural in terms of who does it

now this guy is saying the first two were the strongest kids and the next two were the two worst navy seal ( loud dude) on live stream

What we know so far
  • Four of the boys have were rescued from the Tham Luang caves in Chiang Rai province on Sunday night
  • All four boys safely reached a hospital in Chiang Rai, the nearest major city
  • The operation was scheduled to resume between 7am and 5pm local time today, the coordinator of the rescue efforts said divers needed between 10 and 20 hours to rest and set up for another day’s work
  • Divers have not yet gone into the cave to resume rescue operations but would go in “soon”, sources told the Guardian
  • The remaining eight boys and their coach remain underground at the original location near to Pattaya beach
  • When they reached the surface, the divers turned and hugged the boys, who wore full-face scuba masks, after completing the 3.2km journey through the muddy, jagged cave
  • The operation proceeded much faster than expected due to the walkable water level in the cave after it was launched at 10am local time on Sunday
  • 13 foreign divers and five Thai navy Seals made up the rescue team and were among a team of 90 divers involved in the rescue effort overall
Thai cave rescue mission to resume with eight boys and coach still trapped – live

They may have brought in extra tanks for the final rescue operation. They know they are doing a larger rescue and would need more tanks.

They could have some kind of contagious bacteria? That sounds terrible.

I hope that they don't and are able to be reunited with their families as soon as possible.

I don't know about the 'catchiness' of things they might have contracted in the cave, but also the boys' immune systems will be compromised a bit from the time in the cave. The parents have been in contact with all these people around the camps around the caves and they might have picked up viruses that they won't want the boys to pick up in their condition. So I think it probably goes both ways.

Hopefully the relatives are now being somewhat segregated from all the reporters, and having minimal contact with the numerous support staff, to minimise the risk that they will pick up anything before they get in to see their boys. Just picking up a flu virus would likely set those boys back weeks in their recovery.

Well, its way past my bedtime. When I wake up in the morning, I hope to read that all of the children and the coach are out of the cave and safe!!

I also hope we get good news tomorrow about the state of their health.

Gnight everyone!

i don't know about this its kinda like a train --if they have a whole long line and something near the locomotive goes wrong they could have a real big problem just an idea

Anybody know if the Bangkok Post is reputable, because they are saying coach was removed

That fourth person taken to hospital was the boys' football coach, Ekapol Chantawong, 25. He was said to be in one of the worst conditions because he had given the boys his share of the group’s meagre food supply...

First 'Wild Boars' emerge from nightmare cave ordeal
I'm good with whatever the Dr. advised. I thought practically speaking that getting the worst out first would be best because they would need medical assistance the soonest. If the coach was one of the worst, then bring him out first too. It's just sensible to bring them out according to needs. The rest could hang in there longer. Now they are getting them too. We will have all 13 soon and alive. And all the wonderful people that helped orchestrate this amazing rescue!

I was hoping to come back to a few more out, but that's okay. I'm here and ready any time!

  • #152
I don't know what to believe either. Who ever was rescued, I'm glad they're safe.

  • #153
He is just being realistic. For all we know, there are deceased ones in there now.
They wouldnt announce that.....for the sake of the families as well as the living.

If they used the word 'recovery mission', then its for bodies.

There wasn't a lot going for this mission to be successful, right from the start.

Hopefully, they'll all get out. Some will be in rough shape.....just true.

I hope you are wrong ~ and I am afraid you are right.

Guess what everybody?!
I'm baaaaaacckkkkk....

A Miracle is still in progress!
And it's getting dicey!
For those of you who have not placed me on "ignore" yet:

It's Miracle Invocation Time once again!
So, what do we have for us today?
Today,
We have a request for YOU!
I love those Like buttons, yes I do...!
and I ask that if you might be so inclined to click that Like
-- how 'bout if you would also please - really send up a prayer; or a beam of positive energy; or a shout-out to the universe; burn some insence; caress those crystals...
I know you've already been doing that, or we wouldn't have gotten this far... but it's getting critical, so let's really really really conjure it, and release it!
Even if you don't click that Like button, because I annoy you
... say a little prayer anyway, 'cuz the only way I'm going to
shut-up is when these boys are all out safe and recovered!
So, you can help speed this up a little bit!

Just see in your mind the image of these boys' smiling faces as they are finally out; back home, eating chili pork, and KFC, and birthday cake. As their Mums are trying to keep from hugging and kissing them 1,200 times each hour...

And we must continue to give Gratitude for how far we've come...
all the little miracles along the way, to make this one huge world-changing event! Even the Martians are in on it!

Faith remaining still unwavering.
Thank you for bringing us this Miracle
Again, today, Please continue to help the rescuers.
Please continue to help these boys until they are all home, happy and safe.
Please let let this Miracle continue. NINE more to go....
Take care of those hero divers just as lovingly as they are taking care of those boys.
Please Lord until the final nine of the 13, and all rescuers are out safely!

We are grateful for all the grueling hard work of so many incredible people tirelessly making this Miracle happen! Keep them all safe!
Please keep Saman Kunan's goal alive.

And
Please. Stop. the. Rain.

I've thought this too. It only takes one in front of another to go wrong. I felt better when I read they had drilled into the tight spots making the passage easier tho. Those spots were my main concerns.

OK, Cags--
Just some add'l updates - when you get the chance;
- nicknames, and another age correction:

Duangpetch Phromthep, is now 13 = aka Tom
(btw, have seen it usually spelt Duangphet)

Panumart Saengdee = aka Mick
(Usually spelt Panumas in articles)

Ekkapol Chantawong = aka Coach Ake

Somphong Jaiwong = aka Pong
(Usually spelt Sompong)

Chanin Wiboonroongrueng = aka Tun
(Sometimes spelt Wiboonrungrueng)

Phornchid Kamluang, = aka Tee

Peerapat Sompiengjai = aka Knight
(Usually spelt Pirapat Sompiangchai)

Ekkarat Wongsookchan = aka Bew
(Usually Wongsukchan)

Nattawoot Thakamsai = Toel

Adul Samon (no aka I can find)

OK, that's it for now, my eyes are glazing over! It's difficult verifying these names, as there are a few variations of spelling in English alphabet - but I noted here when I've seen a more-commonly way in most articles.
And also verifying ages kinda wonky, because of how they count birthday age:
Duangphet Phromthep just had a 13 Bday -- some reports say he turned 14, but in Thailand, they often count YOB as the first birthday, where as the West starts from zero. (I think their official records and documents may use the Western way, but not sure, maybe Jennifer17 knows!)

I think there might be one other birthday boy in there somewhere
I'll check a little more later.

Anyway, this for now, I'm pooped!
And now we all anxiously await when you update, as each sweetiepie comes out! :) ❤️
。。。

I have one to add.

Adul has sometimes been transliterated as Adool :)

Thailand is a dive destination. Dive shops regularly loan tanks to other shops. I think loaners went out at request.

Come on those that are Negative Nelly's! The kids are NOT deceased! I have seen many cases where they say "recovered" and the person is alive. Let's be positive!

anesthetise......is this how they're getting them out? Full face mask, holding them under the diver and anesthetizing them? Brilliant if it can be done safely. I thought it had to be monitored. Maybe they got it all figured out!

I would expect that it's more his expert cave diving skills combined with having medical skills in general more than that his specialty is anethetization?
