Has anyone seen the distance from cave entrance to where they
are now? And how long has it taken divers/rescuers to get to
the boys?

I bet they will be greatly strengthened, by knowing they have been 'found.' That must have been emotionally debilitating, to feel like no one knew where you were.

So seeing the searchers, and having good food and fresh water, and flashlights and having hope, will greatly heal them. I cant wait to see them hugging their families!

Yeah it could be a photo from earlier times in the cave. Its good to wait to confirm if from recent rescue or not.

One source of the photo was msm but in the comments many said it's an old photo so I deleted the link.

Holy technology! A photo??
I haven't had time to get caught up yet but were they at Pattaya beach?

That has also not been confirmed yet.

It took them 9 days. The distance from the entrance is about 5km iirc.

Missing Thai boys found alive in caves
Rescuers had hoped they would find safety on a ledge in an underground chamber nicknamed Pattaya Beach but they were found 400 metres (440 yards) away having moved to higher ground to avoid the rising water.

Re Seattle's link (just posted)

The Daily Mail is running with the old pic (identified as such by a mother of one of the boys?).

Guess it will take awhile to get the news straight. moo

ETA: The smiling pics of parents look to be genuine, for sure! I'm so happy for them.

The media might even keep running the photo because it's good click bait.

So grateful that after the monumental effort these rescuers have made, they did not have to endure the disappointment of not finding them alive.
So very happy for the boys, the coach, the families, and the rescuers.

Now it'll continue to be a nail-biter until all 13 are safely out. (And safely home, after hospital care.)
I wonder how long this will all take?
I have concern for any residual trauma on the boys' pshyche...
...but first things first!
To get them out!
I wonder how large an area they are in?
Waiting anxiously for more details on the situation, and their condition, etc...

Agree, the rescued look better than the rescuers! The photo caption, however reads:

"This is the first photograph to emerge of the boys after they were rescued. They smile in delight and pose for a selfie from inside the cave. They were able to talk to their parents on Facebook Live"

Multiple photos and video of the rescue at Daily Mail link posted above.

I wonder what kind of cell/wifi reception they're getting from inside the cave?

They seem to have changed the wording now to:
"This photograph purporting to show the boys after being rescued is circulating on social media. It is thought to be a screen-grab from a Facebook live stream the boys had with their parents. However some sources said it was an old photograph"

So we still don't know.

I think it is old. In the video they all looked to be clothed (not shirtless). moo

Those pictures brings tears to my eyes. Those adorable boys look like it's Christmas morning. And the smiles on the parents faces. What a story those boys have to tell!
ETA: Just caught up. Okay maybe it's old. But I bet their faces looked very close to this knowing they were found.
