Huge difference between being a wannabe at your local high school and claiming false affliation with a gang in PRISON. One will make people laugh at you behind your back and the other will get you seriously hurt.

TLM was trying to claim affiliation with the Cripps. A very prominent gang in Brampton where she lived for a short time apparently. The gang in question that she supposedly knew one member of from a youth detention centre was EOA.

Derstine was unable to provide one piece of evidence that TLM and the EOA girl from the detention centre had been in touch with each other since early 2008, over a year before this murder. And even that was via letters passed while one or the other was in detention.

It is <modsnip> to believe that TLM wrote to a gang member using gang symbols and not be a gang member.
My niece went through a phase where she was a gang member wanna be, she had & has gang member friends... she is NOT a gang member. JMO.

Rafferty says he heard Tara was involved in the abduction, and he hardly knew Terri-Lynne.

RaffertyLFP: Rafferty tells police Terri-Lynne's mom is "messed up" on drugs and she used to take drugs too

He also said McClintic was into drugs and hung around with bad people. Said the same of her mom.

rafferty's mother there today?

Mike Knoll: - VERY common question today. I did not see her and either did our photographer who was standing in front of the courthouse all morning.

Will there be a live tweet page ready to refresh to know if a verdict is to be read over the weekend or do we have to just keep up on the news articles?

Mike Knoll: @guest - no there won't be a page to refresh. I suggest getting on twitter and following @RaffertyLFP @LFPress and @RandyRatLFPress - most media will tweet once a verdict is reached.

Thanks Sailor that answered my previous question.

TLM says no, but respects them ...

I don't believe they could do anything, but protect her in prison ...
but I always wondered the drug connections they were in contact with that day went also called as witnesses, everybody else was ...

Derstine had the discovery. He could have called them.

So now that she's in prison she's not affiliating herself with them any more? Because she respects them? From what I've seen of TLM I would think she would use that to her advantage. Wannabe.

There was time between the crime and her arrest for her "gang" to get her the hell out of dodge.

This must be an extraordinary presentation for the jury, imo :)

Do you have a link for the bolded part? I don't remember anywhere in the testimony that indicated that TLM pled because she was afraid of the hammer. Her lawyer would have been privy to the discovery of the Crown and would have known that there was no hammer - so this statement is inconsistent with the testimony as we know it.

And - she had every right to go to trial - just like MR - whether she would be found guilty or not. She could have really turned this into a he said/she said - blaming every little thing on MR. MR should be greatful that she chose not to do that - because then it would have been a real spitting match, in my opinion.

McClintic's decision to plead guilty came about after discussions that lasted for months, LeRoy said.

"We discussed at length many times the proper way to proceed. We came to the decision together.

What do people suppose they were discussing for months?

Oh and this.........no deal?

She is not in isolation in prison, is following the rules and taking counselling, LeRoy said.

McClintic will be eligible for for parole in 15 years under faint hope clause in the Criminal Code. Her confession, cooperation with police and guilty plea may be factors helping her cause.

But none of those were made with that motive in mind, LeRoy says.

"None of that was act."

Even so, her client is young and believes "Some day I may have an opportunity to convince a board that I have learned from the biggest mistake of my life."

Do the math.............

The interview w/ #Rafferty plays with other video surveillance and photo evidence interspersed that is contrary to what he tells police.
