I wonder if his mother did drugs while pregnant with him and scrambled his brain.

I wonder if she slept with satan when she conceived TH, because imo he is most certainly satan's spawn!

Everything has a cause and effect... My husband was abused horribly when he was a child but something in him kept him from turning into an evil monster instead he used his childhood to excel him in life... I wonder sometimes why some people have that in them and some don't... Why some grow up evil given they had a perfectly normal childhood(I'm not saying TH did obviously there was issues ther BIG ones) ... In my opinion there are some people who no matter what the circumstance are pure evil from the beginning(due to a cause and effect) maybe a chemical imbalance or something ingrained in their brain early on but I also think some of those people such as TH are self aware of what they do and enjoy it... They make a choice to do something, they feel no remorse(only that they got caught and can't continue), they use their life as an excuse to "make it ok" to do harm in my opinion... I can't stand it when someone says well this happened to him so what do you expect out of him... It's bs ... Where the heck are those around TH who didn't step in knowing how dangerous he is... I agree with whoever said he was probably abusing his mother maybe not beat her but I'm sure he strong armed her in one way or another...
Ugh... The thoughts going into why or what of TH is making my head spin... Sick and evil

It really is scary to think what this guy might have eventually done had he not been caught. I mean sure, there are sex freaks out there but dayummmmmmmmmmm. apparently that's all this guy thought about.

I mean obviously he wasn't one of the monsters that you hear people say "omg I can't believe it's him, I never thought he'd do that"... From the very beginning people suspected TH... There's a definite reason for their suspicions... He was very blatant about the things he has done in life and didn't care... People knew to be afraid of him, avoiding him on purpose.... This baby girl didn't have a chance when he set his eyes on her that day :( ...
I've kept quiet but this crime is just spinning my wheels today...
I have some questions that I've been thinking about all morning I've just got to figure out if they've been asked or answered ... Or how to word them ... Hmmm

Brain damage, psychopathy could cause lack of empathy and remorse.
I think there needs to be further studies on the brain and psychopathy.

Yes.
I think the ads are just another piece of the puzzle and there is more down that sordid sink hole.

If she did drugs, there would also be the lack of appropriate care. The lack of correct emotional response. There are many studies on the "dance " between mother and child in terms of eye interaction, mimicking baby's vocalizations, responding to a baby's cries, holding, and ?????

I know people are going to go crazy on this, but a speech clinician at school when I taught, gave me research on the impacts of marijuana use while pregnant.

Crack , a few years ago, apparently had no long term effects?

Alcohol while pregnant is the most toxic drug of all. There are hundreds of impacts. The damage to the brain cannot be remediated, that we know of at this time, because actual parts of the brain are missing.

Hard to tell what impacts are because we cannot recreate the conditions of a mother drinking. Apparently, father"s use of alcohol has impacts as well.

bbm Thought I would jump in here. My niece teaches public school in Alabama to a class room full of "crack babies" - what she calls them when she talks about her experiences privately. The "crack babies" are students whose mother's abused crack while pregnant. Their intellectual functioning is challenged, some are violent, some still have very poor home lives. My niece is young, having taught for maybe 5 years. She is very proud of her "crack babies" who show progress. It is sad that there are so many "crack babies", they have their own class and a designated teacher to deal with their issues as they can not be placed in a regular class room.

Makes you wonder if TH was a "crack baby".

MOO

In my opinion yes some are born evil... I have watched a pregnant mother do no drugs take care of her body, the baby be born the father and mother are both involved and very loving family very attentive, yet at the babies age of two months have colic horribly, with the mother and father and supportive family all doing all they can to calm said screaming baby, then at 2 have fits of rage so bad they lasted for hours the family took baby to the doctor and his response after several blood tests and other tests is that she is just that way with no explanation and to watch her constantly, then at 5 the mother tries to correct the child and she uses her bare feet to kick out a windshield of a car, again at jr high age stabbed another student in the hand because she asked if she could with an art scalpel the other student thinking she was joking said sure and then said child continued to stab other students hand with scalpel just because, another incident at 14 child snuck up behind mother in basement and beat her in the head with a real wooden bowling pin the mother restrained the child until someone came to help never once using violence to reprimand thinking it would just teach the child violence against violence is ok , then the child at 15 was on her way home with the mother and wanted to go to her boyfriends house the mother said no so the child grabs the steering wheel and forces the vehicle of the road multiple times, the mother stops the car and the child insists she is done fighting and trying to wreck so the mother pulls back onto the road and the child sits quietly until the mother is calmed down and less worried than she opens the door and jumps out at high speed, when the mother stops and is completely terrified her child is hurt the child jumps up runs to a truck that has pulled over after watching the chaos unfold, the driver was smart enough to lock the doors so the child couldn't get in and then the mother got the child restrained in the grass away from the road way while calling 911 as on the phone with the 911 operator the child starts screaming my mom pushed me out of the car help help... The mother was mortified thank goodness their was witnesses that watched everything and the small town area who knew of this child's past behavior... The mother begged for the hospital to admit the child for observation and psychological tests but the grandfather was a deputy sheriff and secured the hospital staff he child would now be taken care of by him and his wife... A week later the grandparents were calling mom to come handle the child while the deputy sheriff was in tears after a week of dealing with the child... This child was a cheerleader, played all sports, very popular, beautiful, was a student ambassador, went to church, had a very supportive and loving family, she was not sexually abused or abused physically in anyway... Today she has children of her own, has been through a horribly abusive relationship from both sides that ended up with the man in prison because she lied about him breaking into her house. As far as I have seen this child has never shown any remorse. She has gotten into drugs and the mother has finally said when you get your life straight call me I'm here but only if your ready to get help. ...
So some born evil I think so ( imbalance, psychological problems) but evil.

I totally agree. Some just are born defective. Like the one you describe above.

This one, and I have zero doubt he is one, was created not born. All IMO

I see a lot of cruel speculation here regarding TH's mom apparently just because she is his mom. The only thing I have read about her from MSM is that she is a single working parent.
Suspect is a legal adult. He is responsible for who he is.

I am the biological mother of a non-violent adult anti-social disordered son. He had love, discipline and morality in his life and is brilliant. Mostly, he had love shown to him 24/7 but he is incapable of loving others, or even caring about their feelings in a superficial way.

I would give 10 years of my life to have 1 day with him as a mother to a grown son but he cannot relate to anyone on any type of personal basis. No drugs, no alcohol, nothing in ANY of our lives at ANY point, before or after his conception.. just the worst possible personality disorder which breeds killers.

Just recently, a member linked to an article about a 20 year study on children born to crack addicted mothers. The results negated the previoius held theories about the adverse effects of crack on offspring. I'll have to look for the link. It was an interesting article.

RBBM

I'm not saying this is the answer, but in one of my classes I took while preggers w/ our first there was a child development section and they touched briefly on discipline (but largely didn't "go there").....but the one point the instructor made more eloquently than I can but it has really stuck with me was about consistency:

She said in her experience, kids do best with consistency in everything:
1. the rules are the rules, and they don't change based on what is convenient at the parents for the time, no matter how big a fit the kid pitches, are the same for everyone in the household, etc
2. discipline - whether it be time out, grounding, spanking - is timely and also consistent: i.e., I don't get a "free pass" for not doing my homework one day and the tar knocked out of me another day, and my PS2 taken away the 3rd time
* interestingly, and I'm NOT saying I agree at all, but she felt that kids in bad environments (alcoholic parent(s), getting "beaten"/spanked), did better than some kids who were living in much better situations when the parents were at least consistent.......for example, I know I'm getting a whooping if I don't come home on time, talk back, etc - at that time, and every time

That said, I also think it can mean the world to a kid/teen if, no matter what else they have to deal with, at least have ONE adult in the world who they feel genuinely cares about them. Preferably, a parent.....but even a good teacher, neighbor, parent of a friend.

FWIW.

The reason for the speculation about her being on drugs when pregnant is due to MSM info: she was a teen mother, and her father bought a trailer for her, in which he eventually found drug paraphernalia and kicked her out.

But in any case, the speculation about this is more to do with "what went wrong with Tyler" than trying to be deliberately cruel about his mother, who does seem to be a single working mother. It's just ongoing attempts to try to find an explanation. I think everyone knows sometimes there isn't one, but the questions are still worthwhile.
