39 poor people dead , probably one of the biggest uk cases of the decade .

parents brought over by police .... never seen that before . Just my guess is he’ll talk after he’s explained his situation to his parents so they hear it from him not the media .

im still going on a young 25 year old with family on the way thinking he’ll make a big lump of money for just driving for 30 mins (within an organised plan) ..... what could go wrong as if caught before you’ve released them you’d plead complete ignorance. if something happened at the time ; you’ve heard a commotion and stopped and opened doors and you’ve been flooded by people running at you .

It’s gone so wrong , so very wrong , he’s 25 , the village love him and his family , he just wanted some extra money ..... he needs to tell his parents how it’s all gone badly wrong when he thought he was helping some fleeing people just get to England for a better life.

Now watch me be completely wrong tomorrow.... which normally happens !

I have been thinking the same thing. I think he would be absolutely traumatised by what has happened and has been crying for his parents..
I agree he probably was tempted by money to do this trip .

I think parents have been brought over as they know he is unaware of what he was transporting but need to keep him there to investigate others. computers, phones etc which i presume would have the links to the people he got the job off. May be quite hard to trace them now considering his face is all over the place they will be well aware police are on to them.
For all anyone knows he may drive all the time (even moved a few dodgy 🤬🤬🤬🤬 here and there nothing outrageous) and knows when something does not feel right and thats why he checked. Moo

I read in msm that lorry drivers always park up there to sleep (i have a road by me exactly the same) sometimes they leave there doors wide open on the bk if they have no load to show they have nothing worth jacking them for.
Im not saying thats what he was doing as i know its a sealed load and what not im just saying what i observe

By looking at the photo he shouldn’t need a sleep though , he’s had lots of travelling time and time enough to rest before “he starts work”

I wish we had a professional lorry driver on this thread to explain the processes for us. Reporting is so sketchy, I can’t figure out how many drivers would have been involved in this journey. Which of these drivers would have accessed/ been expected to access the load? What’s the the process for actually scheduling a load ie. can anyone just book a truck to carry cargo on a set journey if they have enough money? And these random checks on trailers...they sound shockingly inefficient. I’d imagine this is probably a lonely job at times, maybe has a lot of peaks and troughs in terms of income. I’m genuinely interested in gaining an understanding of the lifestyle.

I realise this but maybe its somewhere he knew he could pull over to have a look and check exactly what it was he was transporting . Maybe it was his first time with this person who booked him and something just did not feel right. I get gut feeling all the time and quite often im right, the rest im just an over thinker lol. Moo
I could be completely wrong im just throwing it out there

I wonder how many cases there have been where the people actually transporting have been the ones to report them dead? Usually the lorry is just left for a passer by to report (in the cases i have read anyway?!) Thats what strikes me as odd and makes me think he had no idea

All moo

Thanks Ched...yeesh. So many questions...wouldn’t the person who put the paperwork there have known that there were 39 people on board not to be discovered? Wouldn’t any paperwork needed along the journey be made directly available to the driver by means other than having to open the unit and potentially risk spoiling goods/ failing to properly reseal the door/ contaminate the goods?
