I think these suggest she is

There was a gentleman from York who had gone to live at Hartlepool who contacted Joan Lawrence to say he was convinced he saw Claudia down by the Marina he recognised her from living in York. He also told her there were boats going to Amsterdam daily.

There was a sighting of her in Amsterdam by a private detective. Personally I think this person could have been a member of the security services

The fact her parents steadfastly believe she could still be alive as far as Im aware no 'declaration of presumed death' has ever been applied for. Her Heworth Road home has never been sold.

Personally I think it was the person she was with that was the target.
Interesting...

PL doesn’t believe she’s still alive. His recent interviews (i.e. 10th and 11th anniversary) echo back more and more with Malyn:

Well if she is still alive she must be the most heartless person going to have put her family through all this misery for the last 11 years

We dont know what they may be privvy to that the general public arent

Well it's caused her mothers hair to fall out and her dad always looks visibly upset so if she is alive I don't think they know anything about it

That may have been the case if Claudia had disappeared on her own accord but in my opinion Claudia was taken against her will and will have been held against her will.
Find out who the person she was with Weds night and who was also abducted him being the main target and the true story will unfold.

That's if she was with anyone Wednesday night .
You can also say find out who was driving the ‘red’ car with ‘passenger’ door open .It could have been a LHD as Rodney Ballard insisted .

The female seen agruing with a man on University road was never identified as being Claudia.

An unidentified fingerprint was found in Claudias house.

But very reasonable for the police to assume it was her .Given the description the place and time and since no one came forward claiming it was them .

At least interesting, your theory. I'm following all of it.

If it was Claudia (and I believe, it was her), it doesn't matter much, whether Wednesday or Thursday: in any case it could have been the perp, who made her disappear.
I have questions:
Why did he have to intercept her on the way to work, in the morning before 6am, in darkness?
Why was it so urgent to speak to her in the early morning?
Why did they both stand still, why didn't he accompany Claudia on her way, because she had to be at Uni in time?
Why didn't he talk to her over the phone instead of meeting her?
Why didn't he visit her home (if he didn't)?
Who shouldn't know (if so), that the two were communicating or meeting?
Why was there no parking car? Did he come on foot?

It looks like he confronted her, when Claudia had to walk there at that certain time. It can't have been a friendly talk. First a jealous, married (or in relationship) man comes to mind, whose calls she didn't answer and who had fears of being seen with her. IMO - It doesn't help, as always. :(

I know of a male who used to go to work early (super early) to carry on an affair with a woman. He would go early so as not detected. Could well be that this was a confrontation like you describe. But surely the day does matter? If it was Weds then Thurs was planned.

But why did she have to be sacrificed for getting on him?

I dont believe this was the case but due to the complexity of the events it may not have ended in a satisfactory outcome for any kidnap negotiations that may taken place.

If the sender of the note was married how could she be spending the night there
Lots of reasons, where's there a will, there's a way. I'm following a case at the moment, where the mistress was killed and it was said in court that they met up at the mistress's house whilst the husband was at work. I know that this is an overnighter, but it can still be done.
